I can't recommend Cafe Umami highly enough. The food is amazing, it's made with passion and a love of all things healthy. The staff are wonderful and make you feel like you're at home. The coffee is great apparently (so I've been told as I don't drink it these days). What I can vouch for is the bone broth. It's my go to now. I love how you move with the times. Awesome job Kelly, Jason & all the staff 😊❤
A fabulous breakfast/brunch of waffles, smoothies, coffee and slice this morning. Very warm welcome from all staff, quick service and very unique setting and décor. Congratulations on a great team and idea for the area. Very worth the visit to Wynyard - there will be something on the breakfast and lunch menu and display cabinet for everyone.
Great cafe, with a very welcoming staff. Menu has great options. Even though it's all gluten free, doesn't feel any different from regular food. Hats off to the chef, great eats!�

Wynyard people, actually everyone, you just have to go to this amazing place! The food, coffee and staff are awesome. Its so good to have something like this in Wynyard. Healthy dishes using local products....what more could one ask for?

Fabulously helpful and professional! Messaged this cafe as I was wanting to order a cake for special occasion and was requiring low sugar. Kelly messaged back very promptly, spoke with her and she couldn’t have been more helpful in matching my requirements with her expert suggestions. The service at Umami is absolutely wonderful. They are kind and caring, asking questions about your travels. They even recognise you if you return.
Food at Umami is just a good as the service. I went with my grandparents yesterday for lunch and we all loved our meals. My grandmother and I had their burgers of which the buns were amazingly light and my grandfather had the salmon bruschetta which he greatly enjoyed. Today we went for breakfast. My grandmother and I had the waffles and my grandfather had the umami big breakfast. Everything was beautiful.
I must admit that the coffee here was also very good. I am one who usually adds sugar to my coffee but there, my mocha is beautifully made. My grandparents are also very fussy coffee drinkers and they loved the coffee here.
Overall this is an amazing place to go for good coffee, service and gluten free food.

Great cafe for breakfast in Wynard. Staff are very friendly. I had the veggie bowl which was delicious. Also took some cakes for the road. The fresh pear and cinnamon muffin was to die for.

We were pleasantly surprised with energetic, good customer service and delicious food!
100 percent gluten free was great as my wife is intolerant.
We had the Smashed Avo and the Belgian Waffles! Would recommend!
