Delicious food and amazing service. They were able to help me with gluten-free/dairy-free options and cater to dietary requirements too. Very friendly staff and were very attentive to customers. Would def come back!

The last couple of visit have been good. Especially the the steak night which is very popular with locals. A good range of beers on tap, however no Coopers. The wine is good along with discounted cocktails on certain nights. The staff are friendly and aim to please. We will keep going there.

Average night of food. Had high expectations but was let down Fish was old, dry and bland. We couldn't even finish it. Also the great Northern beer was stale from the tap. Very disappointing night.

I’ve been there few times specially on Wednesday’s night which they serve beautiful stakes in half prices. You will enjoy each bite of your food. It’s been crowded when there is a Rugby 🏉 or footy match. Amazing customer service will make you feel more comfortable to return to this hotel. Thanks 😊

Wednesday Steak Night, 9/10 perfectly cooked, medium-rare 300 gms Porterhouse, very good sauce, and nice salad for $18.00, even with overcooked chips. Plenty of wines, $12.00 Blue Pyrenees Cabernet Sauvignon was okay. Pick where you want to sit ... spacious rooftop, even in Winter, undercover and plenty of heaters or open fireplace downstairs.

We had a function upstairs and the service was incredible with great food. Mark looked after us and went above and beyond with everything we needed. Great venue for up to around 100 people give or take. You can kick on downstairs afterwards if you like. Highly recommended.!

Amazing food! We came in when there was a band practising so a bit noisy.
Manoj Hunsur
Food came out quick. Probably best to book as it can get busy!

Arcadia is a bit special to us. It’s one of the first pubs we visited in Melbourne and we go back regularly for drinks, for steak night, for a bit of pool, on our way out, on our way home. It’s always there to welcome us in. They also have great meal specials throughout the week so win-win!

Arc is one of the best pubs that I have been to in Australia. Provides 3 levels of cold beers, entertainment and delicious food. <br/><br/>I often frequent Arc for their well priced food specials throughout the week, whether that be the Tuesday Parma Night or Wednesday Steak Night. <br/>On Parma Night, I usually make the hard decision between the Shaka Brah or Nacho Man Parma options paired with a cold beer. Each Parma is served with a hefty portion of crinkle cut chips and a little dish of salad. <br/><br/>During the summer on a Saturday, the rooftop is a great place to enjoy a cold one as the day turns into the night before you venture downstairs for a bit of a boogie, game of pool or watching sport on the many projector screens. <br/><br/>Staff are always polite, happy and helpful while Mark (the Manager) is a class above. <br/><br/>Easy to access with PT and a few KMs from the CBD. <br/><br/>Arc will always be on the list of “where I would like to go tonight?” <br/><br/>Don’t ever change Arc ❤️

The team came here for a farewell lunch. Offering standard pub fare and a reasonably priced express menu, we were off to a good start. Pool tables keep diners entertained while we waited for our meals but as the wait dragged on, people got edgy with hunger.<br/><br/>Eventually the meals arrived after about an hour. My Nacho pizza was a novelty but lacked the punchy flavours of regular nachos. My colleagues wolfed down their pizzas and burgers as we were late back to work.<br/><br/>I'm told this place served decent meals before and hence the return visit. Maybe they were having an off day?<br/>

Great venue, great location, great spot to spend a night with friends. It has really good food, plenty of different spaces to sit in and a good, friendly vibe. I always recommend this place to friends and family,

Great Place look forward to being  there in the near future. Have always loved Melbourne, have been a little hesitant in recent times but looking forward to a great meal at the Arcadia .

Really great place for some beers and good pub food. The menu has plenty of variety but my go to is the parmi, They also have a great selection of beer and the staff are always welcoming. The quiz night on Monday is not to be missed, my favourite pub in south Yarra!

Steak night on a Wednesday has $14 steaks. Comes with chips and salad and your choice of sauce. If you’re coming in a group then it would be wise to make a booking to ensure you get a table. Downstairs, upstairs, and outside are your seating options. Steak was cooked exactly as I asked, and I enjoyed me meal.
Alex
Great staff, amazing eye fillet (very thick and not chewy), beautiful house red, and quick service.<br/>Only negative was that the cleanliness isn't great and the place smelt a bit toilety on the way in.
Kate Dougherty
Great value steak night with $14 porterhouse and $17.50 eye fillet. The range of sauces is excellent (I really enjoyed the peppercorn & cognac), the chips are crispy, the salad is fresh and the portion sizes are huge. The roof top has a fun and relaxed vibe in the nice weather.

The rooftop beer garden provides a fabulous little retreat regardless whether it's winter or summer. The food is well priced for good portions and decent quality. I had the chicken Parma and a pint of Fat Yak which all up came in around $30. Friends had pasta and pizzas and all were heartily consumed with gusto. The place is massive and I'm sure it's a great venue to see live music. The staff were really friendly too.

Despite being shortstaffed our orders came to us quite quickly (10-15 minutes?) which was very impressive! The staff were friendly and even apologized to us for the wait but we barely had to wait anyway! I thought they were so nice to us. The size of the dishes were great value for money. I was surprised at the amount of spring rolls that came as an appetiser. The chicken burger was tender and juicy. The beef burger patty was super thick and unfortunately dry so that was dissapointing. The parmas were great and pizza's are decently sized at such a cheap price. I liked the rooftop ambience and the music playlist was perfect. There's even Ikea blankets!

Very bad experience. The food wasn't great, but the staff were worse. Large group of obnoxious school kids were rude to us all night. When we made the staff aware of it, they replied that they knew them so nothing would be done. I would not recommend going here unless you are on schoolies.

The food here was excellent had the thai prawn salad as entree it was full of flavor and beautiful juicy prawns .The eye fillet was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth .For desert i ordered the cheese cake which topped off a great meal thanks for the special attention and professional service from Cory and josie thanks girls .

I been many times for the Parma Tuesdays and once for the t bone steak Thursdays. I like the Parmas here they have about 6 different kinds of parmas. Their all good, the blue cheese Parma was a bit much for me though. I don't know if they are better when it's not Parma Tuesday as I'm guessing they arnt banging them out constantly<br/>The t bone steak though was not so great it came out a bit over cooked and was warm, towards the end I was eating cold steak.<br/>

Young , vibrant informal pub style environment. We value Their weeknight specials, especially for hungry stomachs when We are not dressed up for special occasions. Their after 8pm Monday night $10 meatballs, Tuesday nights big Parma $12, Wednesday nights are my favourite! 400g black argus porterhouse steak $13 and 300g eye fillet steak for $17.50. Thursday nights T bone steak for $12 with jacket potatoes, Friday Burger night for $14! <br/>I find their steak quality inconsistent sometimes though! I like them thick and juicy. On one occasion, it was not. <br/>(I would prefer if they have the specials from lunchtime as I try to eat sparingly for dinner to slim down!)<br/>We like to go early to avoid the crowd and we are not drinkers. Close to Toorak train station, parking is not an issue after 5pm along the Toorak Rd on the Fawkner Park side. <br/>It is a place for good REAL genuine steak and social gatherings, not for romantic nights as it is noisy, packed and furniture made to last not for looks. We just enjoy our meals and leave. If cheap good genuine food is your choice sometimes, also visit www.eatdrinkcheap.com.au

Steak night at Arcadia is one of the best! the mushroom sauce is AMAZING !!! Its best to order a little bit under what you normally would as sometimes they are a tad overcooked but other than that YUM!
Majora1987
Old pub, but has a modern interior. Not the most comfortable layout. Felt a bit like eating inside a Picasso painting. Had a traditional Parma, pretty poor. Chicken breast was like a supermarket frozen breast and the cheese was burnt. Would recommend looking elsewhere for food.
Brungiel
Decent pub grub with cheap but tasty parmas etc. Ok for a group of people having drinks, although it turns into a bit of a party some nights with loads of youngsters, so get in and get out!

TERRIBLE T-BONE THURSDAYSA friend and I decided to try out the $12 T-Bone Thursday and thought why not. The T-Bone had so much GRIT and fat that I genuinely believe that I had 3 small mouthfulls of meat. The dull knives did not help and by the time we cut through al the grit the meal was cold. I understand that $12 is $12..but seriously you could buy a decent cut of steak for less than that and deliver something that was half decent. We would never return here for the Thursday, not even if the steak was offered for FREE! My advice, pay some more and eat a steak elsewhere. PS - Customer service was great and the only positive.
Nina
Steak night sure attracts the crowds! Buzzing with a young crowd, be sure to make a reservation! Steaks were cooked great and the sauces carried delicious flavour but I'd like more of it. I ordered an extra side sauce and it still wasn't enough. Minor complaint though :) and the chips and salad were good.

Awesome pub food and I love the daily specials they rotate every week. Great but cheap meatballs on Monday nights (with Trivia). Porker and a great variety of massive parmas on Tuesdays. The steaks are amazing and it's steak/t-bone nights on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Awesome burgers on Friday nights too. The weekends are awesome too. To top that all, the customer service is amazing, whether you're upstairs in the resturant area or down at the bar or pool tables.
Themkc
Ordered the green pizza with asparagus and cheese.<br/><br/>Pizza base was dry and hard. 'Seasonal vegetables' on the side were boiled broccoli, carrot, and beans. Overall, not an inspiring meal.
Shelly
Came here for their chicken palmer and steak night! Cooked to perfection, huge portions and good value for money! Service was great and staff were friendly

We just hosted our son's 21st at the rooftop bar at the Arcadia. It was a very successful night and we were very happy with the friendly staff, the food was delicious and plentiful. I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of hiring it. Last drinks are at 1130pm and we were all out by 12 on the dot.
Anthony
I've been going here for years and years and years, and I've never seen a pub that so consistently had great friendly staff, good relaxed atmosphere, and constantly attempting to get better and better.  <br/><br/>Love the place, and will always stop in if I'm in the area.

Excellent for a steak night party or Parma night ! I haven't tried the trivia night and burger night but we will come back for sure . Pool table are a plus !
Lanaa
The steak nights are great, good food for great value. They need to work on the music a little because it can get boring but all and all its great for a mid-week night out with friends and the staff are very friendly .
Parmasofmelbourne
This weeks parma night fell on Queens birthday, how dare she. Anyway we went off to The Arcadia Hotel in South Yarra. The set up here was cool. Rooftop Beer garden, pool tables, big screens and function rooms make up the arcadia. Trivia night was getting started when we arrived. <br/>We ordered and proceeded to unofficially take part in trivia night. After about 10 minutes a waiter came to our table and told us that there was an error with our order and that they only made 1 parma instead of 4 resulting in a extended wait. We were given 4 glasses of coke on the house to make up for the error, so big thanks to the arcadia for that. A business that takes care of its patrons is always a good sign. Another 15 mins or so and they were out. <br/>Ahh we spotted the separate salad bowl from a mile away. Well played Arcadia.<br/>Size wise, the schnitzel wasn’t the biggest we have seen but they sure did have some quality thickness to them.<br/>The breast was your pure white, real, juicy breast. Absolutely perfect. <br/>Crumbing was also very impressive also. Had a few crunchy edges which is our favourite part<br/>The napoli was fresh and tasty. Not caked on but made its presence on the schnitzel.<br/>The ham was nice and tasty. Many pubs tend to use really tasteless standard ham but we assure you arcadia uses the good stuff. <br/>The cheese was applied liberally and grilled to perfection. We think it was a mix of tasty and mozzarella, not to sure though. Was excellent to say the least.<br/>The chips were really the only downfall of this dish. They tasted like mccain frozen crinkle cut chips fresh from the freezer. They were served quite cold also. <br/>The salad was a mixed garden salad dressed well. Served in a separate bowl is always a bonus and much appreciated.<br/>Excellent customer service, a simply smashing parma and some sneaky trivia led to an awesome experience at the arcadia. Did we mention they have unlimited D.I.Y aoli and sauce bottles aswell. Yes, epic (for all you condiment lovers out there). <br/>The parma is definitely up there with the big boys. The big retro Victoria Bitter signage makes the Arcadia hard to miss so no excuses. As the Queen would say, twas a jolly good show.<br/><br/>8/10

Great Venue for a 21st. We held our daughter's 21st at The Arcadia on Level 1 recently and it was a great night. All the staff were very attentive to make sure the night was a successful one and all our guests thought the venue was perfect. Totally recommend it for this sort of occasion.

Great venue for your next party!. Highly recommend the Arcadia as a place to host your next party. Good size room, very helpful staff, AV equipment, reasonable prices and delicious food. Thanks for a great night!

Surprise 21st birthday party. I was fortunate to have been given a surprise 21st party organised by my family and best friend. The night overall was fantastic, from the moment I walked into the lounge bar function room. The staff that my mum communicated with were very organised and helpful, and all the staff including the bartender were so friendly and polite. The food served during the night was delicious, with many guests complementing the food. All the slide show presentation, music and microphone worked well when needed. Overall, the lounge bar room is a great space for a small function, with the main bar, pool table, and dance floor, only just outside the lounge.<br/>The Arcadia is a great place for a 21st birthday or any function.

If you live anywhere near South Yarra you’ll probably know The Arcadia as “the pub with the VB sign” – visible for miles around, especially when lit up at night, the red neon “Victoria Bitter” letters on the side of the pub are definitely a sight to behold. We have had quite a few recommendations of for the Arcadia’s parma over the years but never quite managed to get around to giving it a go, however when it got an endorsement over Twitter by none other than Rob “Millsy” Mills of Australian Idol, Wicked and Grease fame (among other things), we decided it was time to check it out! Cheers again for the tweet Millsy! I’m searching for a word to describe the decor of the Arcadia, and the best I can come up with is “Eclectic”. Once you arrive it feels as if you take more than three steps in any

Everyday, Arcadia does $5 pizzas. Don’t expect anything too flash. You’re paying $5 so what do you expect

21st Birthday Party. I had my 21st birthday party in the level 1 function room. The functions team Crystal, Mark and Corey were extremely helpful, organised and fast to respond to any questions I had. They were able to accommodate everything I wanted for the party, which ran very smoothly. The food was amazing and got great reviews from the party attendees! The drinks and bartender were also great. I would highly recommend hosting your event here, as the venue is perfect for a 21st and the staff are very helpful and dedicated.

21st Birthday. We had our son's 21st birthday at The Arcadia Hotel on Sat 30th August in the first floor function room. Six weeks prior I met with Crystal and starting making plans. She was excellent to work with and accommodated our requests. She sent through a running sheet with everything laid out so we knew exactly how the night would run. The function room was perfect for our event as it was a private area with our own bar/toilets/ sound system. It was clean and well set out. The food was beautiful and continued to be handed around all night. The Arcadia is open until 3am so once the function was over, guests could head downstairs and continue to party on. I highly recommend The Arcadia Hotel for a 21st venue and would not hesitate to book it again. <br/><br/>Thank you<br/>Jenny

21st Birthday. I had my 21st at Arcadia Hotel on the 16th of August, <br/>I contemplated whether it was worth spending money on my 21st but in the end i had the most amazing night and there is no doubt a lot of the credit goes to the staff at Arcadia. I spoke to a lady names Crystal a month before my event and she emailed me with very detailed and prompt responses which in time of planning was so helpful, and the frequent advice was good. I got the BBQ package with few platters but the BBQ package was more than enough. the food was top standard and i would definately recommend it . all the staff were super friendly and even if an itinerary was made by myself the staff were more than happy to alter it to cater for my needs on the night. the room i hired..the lounge room was roped off and the outside pub setting was no hassel at all . I would highly recommend the venue as it looks amaaazing , the staff are so helpful and the food was delicious !

Appalling. Security has no control. Do not organise a family event here.

Kath and Al's birthday party. We had my50th and Al's 54th birthday party at The Arcadia last weekend in the first floor function room.<br/>We can't thank Mark and his team enough for the fantastic job they did. The bar staff were friendly and helpful, and the wait staff were very efficient and accommodating with any requests we had. Nothing was too much trouble for Mark- his calm demeanor meant that the organising was completely stress free for us!<br/>We had a fabulous night and would highly recommend this venue to others.

Had my 21st birthday here, and the running of the function couldn't have gone any smoother! Great organisation, although you have to keep nagging them to get things done. Drinks are cheap and food is great, highly recommended

Has gone downhill. Food too.... Has gone downhill.<br/>Food took hour to arrive, some had to be re-ordered. Steak was chewy & overcooked. Pepper & mushroom sauce was watery & flavourless. Very disappointed.

I waited over an hour for my food, everyone on my table people on other tables who arrived after me was served before me. In my opinion that is not good enough

Good Pub Grub. While the interior (mainly the downstairs section) leaves a lot to be desired, the food has so far proven to be a success. Being locals to the area we decided to finally check it out. I ordered the Black Angus Beef & Guinness Pie. As it is just served with a small, simple salad I was hoping I'd get my money's worth in the pie. And I did. Served in a large oval shaped bowl with a layer of puff pastry, it was quite a sizeable meal (and I can eat a lot). The meat inside was rich and full of flavour, and was complimented nicely with a glass of red. My partner ordered the T-bone steak 12 Special. It was cooked just as requested (medium rare) and served with a baked potato and sour cream. Great food for winter - will be back.

First time went on wednesday to try the steak night. it was pretty packed but eventually got a seat. the staff was pretty helpfull that night and overall great. <br/><br/>Second time went on tuesday to try the parma. there was one girl who was absolutely the worst staff ever. She was unfriendly and seems like she hated her job there with no smiles or expression on her face. I wanted to ask for a take away container because my gf didnt even ate like half of her parma. So she told me to sit down and someone will bring it out. Waited for like 20 min and eventually i had to ask again to a different waiter a takeaway box. <br/><br/>overall it has its ups and down

Samantha's 21st. Samantha's 21st, Feb 23rd held in the Lounge Bar function room.<br/>The guests loved the Function room, we all had a great time dancing to our music using arcadia's sound system and projector for photo's and also the lighting change to set the mood was fantastic. We had the bar fully stocked for our guests, the bar staff were very friendly and efficient. Finger food was served to our guests, food was fresh and delicious. From a mums point of view, glad we had the 21st party at ARCADIA not home, it was stress free all i had to do was bring the birthday cake. Every thing was perfectly organised. The function room was very clean and the rest rooms for our guests was modern and also very clean. The patrons in the Bar and Pool Table area all looked educated ( 20 to 27) no dead beats here, nice and safe for girls to have a good time.(just a mums observation). Any way a great time thanks to Management and staff.
Andrew
Fantastic service. I went to the bathroom and my beer was removed by mistake, and quick in flash it was replaced with many an apology.
Melch
We eat a porterhouse steak (400g) for 14$ each. So good ! They have a rooftop for enjoy the summer ! Good place
Tina Lofitis
Steak is sooo good, especially for $12 with chips and salad on Wednesdays...Wednesday's can be very busy but worth the wait - fun to book with a big group, it's cheap for us uni kids and can have a few beers ad games of pool afterwards :)<br/>Also the menu change has been effective, thai prawn salad is so fresh, healthy and delicious!
Nick L
All under one roof, good food plus live band, steak is excellent
Emily
Attractive bar staff, who are friendly and helpful! Delicious food that is so reasonably priced!
Sophie
Food amazing, staff very nice, Brid is singing.

Best Burger in town!. Its a big call i know but wait til you try their burger and chips. <br/><br/>I dont expect alot when I go to pubs for dinner but Arcadia has real quality in their food.<br/><br/>Arcadia is our local and everytime we dine here the food always exceeds my expectations. I love their chips, burgers and main meal varieties.
Sam
I saw the Arcadia hotel as my local, it's cheap and comfortable and the food is good for the money you pay. However, whereas some of the staff there are pleasant enough and the managers welcoming..I find a lot of the bar staff there exceptionally rude and snotty. Have had a few instances where orders have been forgotten, wrong drink served etc, and I have received nothing but a dirty look and a half arsed apology. Probably won't go back because of their attitude.
Maty Preston
Woeful. 90 minute wait. Be.... Woeful. <br/>90 minute wait. Below average food. Unhelpful staff

Just had an exceptional eye fillet steak cooked exactly as requested, delicious side of seasonal vegetables. Very reasonable price for good quality fresh food, I'll be back!

Good value $5 pizza but service was sloppy. First the waitress had to be reminded to give me my drink, then the pizza order got lost in the system!
Tallskinny-eatslikehorse
Cheap solid pub grub. If you want a good, cheap midweek meal, you can't really pass up the tuesday parma (12) or the wednesday steak (12). on their own, the parma and steak are great, but the salad that they come with sucks (just lacks love) and the chips need to be fried not the oven type that they've become fond of using. <br/><br/>Also, beer here costs a bomb, so for a pint (VB, Draught) and a $12 meal, you're looking at over $20. <br/><br/>if you want a solid midweek gutplugger though, the arc will do ya well.
Stephen Johnathon
Go there for a steak but be prepares to watch everybody around you eat their food while you wait over an hour for yours. See if the staff care...my experience says they don't.
Campbell Stevens
Arcadia is on the corner of Punt and Toorak, well established local pub, great food and cheap. Take away bottle shop is a bit expensive. Friendly service, great pub
AJS
Great $12 steak on wednesdays, cooked very well for fussy steak lovers (rare was pretty spot on and not overcooked which is hard to find these days) It's also a great spot to watch AFL, with plenty of screens and decent beer. Footy is played w sound on too!!!! :) They've recently had a refurb in the bar which is an improvement. Back to food, their cheap pizzas are good value too but pay the $9 for better value!
