Review Pizza D'asporto - Yarraville

Danee Gorman
I come here expecting delicious pizza, I leave here wishing I had a bigger stomach - pizza d'asporto has incredible pizzas that excel in all areas. A good pizza starts with a good base and it is fair to say that they have refined this craft. I ordered the San Giorgio pizza and was not let down. You can tell the ingredients were of a high quality. I also ordered the radicchio salad, which was so fresh and tangy. It's a great place to go to before a movie at the sun theatre or just a fun night out in Yarraville.

Came here randomly one night and so glad we did. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating and the decor is very homey and humble, giving you a taste of the authenticity they pride themselves on. These were some of the best pizzas I’ve tried in Melbourne. Light base, fresh and tasty ingredients and great serving size. Couldn’t fault anything about the pizzas and it makes excited to try the rest of the menu someday.

Did a take away order over the phone, staff were very attentive and friendly when I arrived. The outdoor seating is very nice and indoor is homely and cosy. I got 1 pizza, 1 pasta and a an appetizer. The pizza Diavola was very good, excellent base and high quality ingredients. The pasta Amatriciana was excellent, with a good sauce ratio. The appetiser Arancini was tasty, but almost a meal on its own. Great vibe, friendly staff, authentic Italian food with quality ingredients, would highly recommend for dine in or take away. Especially on a warm night if you feel like sitting outdoors. I will be coming back.

Great pizzas. Could be more generous with the prawns. 1 prawn per slice left much to be desired.

Nice food, lovely service. Booked ahead but seated next to each other up at the bar - which was nice but not what I expected. I think it would be great to go back on warm summer evenings to sit outside with a group of people. Would definitely come back - a fair few pizzas on the menu that I'm definitely keen to try!

Best pizza this side of town hands down. The base is incredible and the ingredients fresh and delicious. Highly recommended.

Best pizza n pasta in yaarville. They made a home made chilli oil that is really good n enhance the pizza taste. Hot choclate is good after coffee.
Jay
Best pizza in the west. Diavelo is the bomb! Wow such a good food and vibe. Great customer service. Best pizza in town.

The pizza is simply divine- it lived up to the hype. I’ve long heard good things about this little joint with authentic Italian gourmet pizza and it did not disappoint at all. Even the crust had a lovely sour flavour, fresh ingredients. Good service!

😱Lizzie’s first impression: Amazing upstairs dining area with a balcony, best place for date night for some bomb as pizzas. <br/><br/>🍩Lizzie enjoyed: I love that this place is situated in the lovely Yarraville close by my home, they have the best interior with multiple areas of seating which makes the more fun. I absolutely love their pizzas from here – they’re all so tasty and made fresh and has a great ratio and consistency of filling and crust. The staff are so friendly and I am so glad I was able to dine in again. <br/>My favourite pizzas are the Diavola (hot salami) and the Salsiccia Porcini (sausage and mushroom). <br/><br/>🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: N/A<br/><br/>🥇Lizzie rates overall: I’ll need to come back again to try their pastas but their pizzas are PERFECT!! <br/>

Dined here recently on Aus Day. Walked in around 7:30; despite being almost full house, immediately got seats at the bar. Ordered fried calamari, caprese salad and two pizzas. Calamari was average; the fried mint leaves did not have much aroma or flavour. Caprese salad was light & refreshing. <br/><br/>One of the waiters brought over arancini (which we did not order and notified), to which they apologised for their error and told us it was on the house. I appreciated the attentive customer service. Pasta dishes looked good, will return to try.

I liked the place, it’s a good relaxed friendly atmosphere. The staff are great, happy and warm. Love the pasta and all their pizza selections. Been here many times and it’s always consistent. Conveniently located next to Sun Theatre.

Like Gradi. Just cheaper, better service, and in a much cooler location. Good for small groups or couples inside. Families will need to take advantage of outdoor seating for more room.

Amazing pizza! Have tried various pizza restaurants around Melbourne and the best pizza I've had is from pizza d'asporto. The crust is perfect, and the toppings are delicious. There's also some chilli oil available on the tables which are a plus!
MissCat
We love everything about this place, from the yummy pasta, pizza, salad, dessert to their service! If you are in this area, please do visit this great place.<br/>xoxo 💚

Loved it. Pasta pork fennel, Margarita and San Danielle pizza our favorites. Never really disappoint. Whenever we’re around the area or before going to picture in Sun Theatre.

The service at Pizza D'Asporto was so engaging, and the lawn outside the restaurant makes it family friendly too!<br/><br/>Ordered:<br/>🍝 Pork & Fennel Ragu: casareccie with braised pork & fennel ragu ($20.00)<br/>🍕 Mare E Monte: san Marzano tomato, mozzarella, king prawns, porcini mushrooms & prosciutto ($24.00)<br/>🍟 Patatine Fritte (v, vg, gf): Italian style chips with rosemary & garlic ($10.00)<br/><br/>Review:<br/>The pizza was the standout dish for us. Having prawns on a pizza isn't something I often get, but in this pizza it made it something memorable. I'll definitely be considering prawns in all my pizza from now on!<br/><br/>Service was really fun. A certain gentleman with brown hair was really engaging and his attentiveness made it easy to talk to him. Really good stuff!<br/><br/>Pizza D'Asporto is located on the strip of yarraville that's blocked off by cars. Plenty of people are there lounging. If it's a nice warm summer Melbourne evening, sitting outside becomes a nice place to catch the last rays of sunshine.

Can confirm they make the best Margherita & focaccia I’ve ever had. It’s the only place I can actually enjoy Margherita without feeling like the pizza is bland. The dough is delicious and has an awesome Smokey taste from the wood fired oven and the sauce is delicious with the herbs and spices es they use

Always so yummy. The pasta here is amazing I crave it all the time. The staff are always nice and the wine is nice too. One of my go-to places.
Alisha (LifeUnleashed)
Incredible Pizza - the perfect pre movie meal! <br/><br/>D’Asporto is home to some of the absolute best pizza in Melbourne. The dough is fantastic. Whilst we loved the dishes we ordered (listed below), you really can’t go wrong here. <br/><br/>What we ordered? <br/>🍝 Pasta #3 - Amatriciana $19<br/>🍕 Pizza Rossa / Red #4 - San Danielle $21<br/>🍕 Pizza Rossa / Red #16 - Gambaretti $23<br/><br/>The FitHit’s Tip<br/>⚡️ With the pop up garden in the street outside, order some takeaway and enjoy the delicious dinner options before a movie at the Sun Theatre. <br/><br/>✅ Incredible pizza<br/>✅ Both outdoor and indoor seating<br/>✅ Good sized meals <br/>✅ Friendly staff<br/><br/>🚫 Minimal indoor seating - so be sure to reserve a table!

Great service and wonderful food. Nice big communal tables overlooking the Yarraville Village pop-up park. Great space to sit outside even in cold weather. Blankets provided.

Been here twice and they never disappoint, very friendly staff and the pizza is incredible mainly because they use fresh ingredients. You got me Pizza D'Asporto!
Dina De Lestrange
Love this place. I’ve been here twice and every time, the pizzas have been delicious, service prompt and the vibe has been energetic and welcoming 💕
Nicole P
Can’t fault them. Accommodated us after we made a mistake with the booking. Friendly warm service. Food was outstanding - I love the Williamstown outlet but this one was even better. The patate pizza was spot on, my husband’s carbonara was the best he’d ever had. Amazing salads too. Everyone else at the table thought their meals were excellent too.
Ange
The pizzas here are good but that's it, the carbonara was the worst we've ever had, including ones from food courts, it tasted like cream and nothing else sadly. The puttanesca pasta was also a disappointment, lacked seasoning and had 1 small anchovy. The restaurant is very small with a communal table and a couple of bar seats inside, definitely recommend opting for outdoor seating if booking a table.
Karen
Amazing pizza, friendly & quick service! We decided to pop in last night when we realised we had a tad over half an hour to grab a bite before seeing a movie at the Sun theatre. We are so glad we did! Best pizza I’ve had in a long time. We got the prosciutto. It was fresh, tasty and melt in your mouth delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
Julius Pepperwood
Ideal spot for a bite before or after a trip to the Sun Theatre. Good, speedy service is the highlight here, with friendly and attentive wait staff and meals being prepared quickly. Perfect if you only have a little time before your movie next door, but we never felt rushed by the staff and you could easily settle in with a bottle (or two) of wine if you’re so inclined. The only criticism I had was that the bases of our pizzas were fairly soggy under the sauce and toppings, which may have been due to the thin bases used or the pizzas not enough time in the oven to properly crisp up. It led to them being a little difficult to share and eat, but certainly didn’t make the pizza any less enjoyable.
Chris Muscat
Fantastic authentic Italian cuisine. Staff are absolutely amazing and friendly and take the time to explain each dish to you for dietary requirements. The only downfall is the space - it’s very limited and you do need to book a table or you may have to wait a while. Otherwise, it’s great for a night out!
Catherine V. Jagonos
My go to for Italian food. My family and I love coming to Pizza D’Asporto for the food and the service. Especially love the homemade chilli oil which is available on the table. Delicious pizza and pasta without fail. <br/><br/>Be wary that their opening time is wrong on Zomato, they do not open at 3pm more like 4pm.
Virgil
The service was quick and this place fills up really quickly especially around dinner time. Great pizza and great staff! Always an enjoyable experience and the choice to go indoors or outdoors (with heating) is a bonus.
Melody Lizardo
Very good customers service from the staff. Reasonable price for the quality of food that they serve. There chilli oil is the BoooooooooooomB. Great with everything.
Tyrone Pistofian
Been twice now! Absolutely loved the pizza<br/>and the service.<br/>Its also very affordable too for such a quality pizza :)<br/>The san danielle is the best.
Shanais Rauner-Smith
Love love love this resteraunt!!! Loved the pizza here and staff are super friendly! Looking foward to returning here and it's super close to the movie theatre as well so perfect for dinner and movies!
Michael
This place does authentic pizzas and they do it well. Get the mushroom and prosciutto pizza and splash it with some chilli oil for maximum enjoyment.
Big Jess
Love, love, love this place, especially dine in. Welcoming and professional staff, lovely ambience and delicious pizza. Dare I say, the best in the west?? The caramelised leek and potato pizza and buffalo mozzarella salad should be illegal.
Thao
Consistently delicious with a great range of menu options. Beats so many other places, even ones with a wood fired oven. Always love coming here!

The food is magnificent and the staff are very friendly. The Chef remembers us when we come and cooks us fabulous food. Highly recommend to others.

I had an arancini, a pizza and one tiramisu.<br/>Arancini and pizza were both really good! But I expected a better tiramisu. It tasted a bit industrialized. I thought would be more homemade.
Dumba
The pasta and pizzas here are great. Service is fast and during the winter it is warm inside. Really convenient for a quick bite before a movie.

Pizza d'asporto is a very nice and really busy place in Yarraville. next to the Sun Theatre have sitting inside and out. On a thursday night we had a nice bottle of wine, disappointed with arancini was burnt and very blend. Pizza is just so good crispy and delicious. Raccomended for pizza next time i will try the pasta.
Floriana.deleo1997
What an outstanding experience!! The absolute highlight was the dessert, time stopped as we devoured! Highly recommend the tiramisu and the honey and amaretto panna cotta <br/><br/>We were so impressed with the authentic & genuine vibe, especially from the staff! <br/><br/>Will definitely visit again & recommend!
Daniel Torres
Came in today with some friends and ordered 3 pizzas between us. The pizzas tasted really good, however it was disappointing how soggy they were (the crust was crispy and was the best part) The service and atmosphere were both good.
RaynerG
Love this place. Beautiful pizzas and pastas. So filling and priced well! The staff are lovely and know their menu really well which I appreciate as they can always recommend what to have with whatever mood you’re in! Definitely recommend if you want great Italian!

COCKROACH in a drink!<br/><br/>Lovely meal tonight (4 different pizzas and a pasta carbonara), however when it was time for a hot drink afterwards, one of our diners found a dead COCKROACH in their hot chocolate (just before swallowing it)!<br/><br/>We let the venue know and showed it to them, however we were not upset - just concerned that their hot chocolate mix may not be stored properly.<br/><br/>They offered us a free dessert (after trying to upsell them to us that night), however we didn't feel like dessert so instead, the venue didn't charge us for the hot chocolate.<br/><br/>Don't know about other diners out there, but for almost swallowing a cockroach, I would have thought a discount on the entire bill a more appropriate compensation.<br/><br/>Also, the waiter gave us the option of having fresh mozzarella on one of our pizzas and we said yes please. However when the pizza came out to our table, the mozzarella had been added to the wrong pizza (and that person does not like cold mozzarella).
The Carbashians
Really lovely food for an early Sunday dinner. Sat outside; loved the yarraville village vibe. The staff were nice but we were mucked around a bit in regards to seating; asked to move once we had been seated. Other than that; was a really nice night
Jess
Best pizza in Melbourne, their dough and crust is the best I've had. They do not compromise on the quality of the ingredients and it shows. The salsiccia porcini and bufala are favorites. The family who run it are lovely and so welcoming. Only downside is it's very hard to get a table in Yarraville because it's so popular.
Anz G
Love the location and ambience. They have a comfortable outdoor seating as well. The pasta was above average. Lovely customer service and fast service. Definitely recommend for gourmet pizza and pasta.
RRJosh
Favourite pizza place in Australia. Big call I realise but you cannot go wrong here for traditional Italian pizza. I’ve previously reviewed the a Williamstown arm of this place and they are just as good as each other. I live in Yarraville so this one is my fave.
Alexandra
After eating many pizzas from the Williamstown store we finally found ourselves at the Yarraville restaurant. Went on a Tuesday night for a late (8-8.30) dinner and it was packed. We ordered the salumi pizza and lamb ragu pasta. The pizza is so good, the crust is perfectly thin and bubbly and the toppings are plentiful and of good quality. Myself and partner both really enjoyed the pasta too. While yes it wasn't mountains of thick sauce like you may want or expect, it's of good quality and flavoursome. The two dishes were enough to leave us very full and with a little for lunch the next day.

Recommend to try a pizza from this place and it was OK. Even without a wood fired oven the pizza was good. We ordered it with a prawn topping and a sprinkle of chill. Could have done without the chill. The prawns were super fresh. The Italian beer on tap wasn’t good, found it flat. Great service and the staff were excellent. Worth a try.
Rita
Going to the Sun Theatre for the first time (amazing comfortable seats) we all decided to eat at this venue next door.  Easy and it was clearly a very popular place.  Most ordered a pasta dish, 2 ordered pizza and 2 ordered salads.  Without question, the pizza looked absolutely amazing with generous buffalo mozzarella.  I was hoping they would have a slice leftover.  It looked amazing and apparently tasted very well.  Sadly the pasta was just OK.  Nothing to write about and the salads, well don't bother.  My rocket salad was just rocket with a fig vinegar (not very good), matchstick pear (better if it is shaved) and a handful of grated parmesan on top (this should be shaved only)  Not very appealing visually or taste.  However, I will return because the pizza looks fabulous and clearly the winner judging what the majority were ordering.  Can't wait to return.

Pizza D'Asporto is a relatively new addition to the blossoming food scene in Yarraville. Opening up where Yo-chi used to be, they serve up traditional Italian pizza and pasta amidst a bustling and casual atmosphere for dining in or takeaway.<br/>The space is snugly packed with tables that spill out onto the terrace and sidewalk - perfect for kicking back on those warm summer nights with a glass of wine. Just be aware though, it can be a little bit of a wait for table on those busy weekend evenings.<br/>The pizza is definitely the star here - perfectly charred puffy bases with all the old-school Italian toppings and plenty of options to choose from. The pasta here was a little disappointing however - the portions a little small and a little bland. The Gamberoni pasta was dressed with too much oil and the lamb ragu was a touch too watery and lacked flavour. For those with a sweet tooth, there isn't much to choose from, but the tiramisu is not bad.<br/>The staff here are warm and friendly and the service is reasonably quick. It would be great to see full table service available for the future, but for now, you do need to go up to the counter to order and the prices are pretty affordable for the quality of pizza on offer.<br/>All in all, a lovely addition to the Yarraville Village and a great new spot to grab a meal before popping in to see a film at the Sun Theatre.
Monica Strut
The best gluten free pizza I've ever had. My Italian boyfriend also said it was the best pasta he'd had in a very long time and cooked perfectly! The wine was beautiful, great atmosphere and service. Forget Lygon St. Yattaville is where it's at!
Melbourneats
The best wood fire pizza I’ve ever had! <br/>Ordered the salssicia porcini pizza. Everything about this pizza was perfect. The charred areas were perfect, toppings were perfect, dough and sauce was perfect. Came out hot and fresh. <br/>Have been to Williamstown, and yarraville is much better.<br/>Pasta was average. <br/>Service is great<br/>Take your lover, friends and family here for staple Italian night out.
Miss Erika
Excellent pizza! Actually my favourite in melbourne. Better than 400 gradi! Legit old school Italian. Fluffy, crispy base, beautiful simple toppings. Absolutely faultless.<br/>Service could be better but nothing to complain about. Wine selection is approximately sized though I wish they had a slightly better offering.<br/>Great place 👍🏾

Came here a week ago for dinner. My friend ordered the pizza which looked absolutely amazing! I wish I had ordered it myself but I got the pasta which was a great size and wasn't too rich or thick and filled me up just nicely without feeling sick which is great for a creamy based pasta. I am definitely coming back
Richo
Right next door to the Sun Theatre, this has the best pizza I have come across in the West.<br/><br/>Big puffy bases with great, fresh toppings, no silly “meat lovers” or tinned pineapple here, although I’m told the gluten-free leaves a little to be desired. Other menu options available if that’s an issue.<br/><br/>Service is efficient & friendly, and the out door area will be lovely on summer evenings, but they do need to talk to the council about moving the bike racks that interfere with the tables which interfere with the bike racks.
Jane
Only stopped for coffee and dessert on our Yarraville crawl... but friendly helpful ‘no worries’ service would encourage me back. Tiramisu to die for and my friend had a lovely pannacotta ....
Glenny
We ordered pizza here the service and atmosphere was beautiful and the staff were friendly. <br/><br/>The variety of pizza on the menu was great to choose from and so we ordered 4 x pizzas.<br/><br/>I love a good wood fire pizza however when the pizzas came out they were cold. They were also very doughy to the point we all were picking our toppings off and leaving all the bread on our plate. They were also very soft in the base that if we picked the pizza up it would tear and fall apart. Very pricey we paid $104 for 4 x pizzas and 3x soft drinks only. <br/><br/>Over all we enjoyed each other company.
Tom Bendistinto
We've had plenty of their pizzas as takeaway from their Williamstown store and this was the first time dining in the Yarraville restaurant. We were seated upstairs and must admit it was noisy but the pizzas were magnificent!!! This is authentic Italian and by far the best pizzas in Melbourne. Our favourite pizza is any of the salsiccia (pork sausage). We order 4 pizzas for people and it was plenty. Now off to the movies at the Sun Theatre next door. What a great night out!!!
Holly Robinson
It is hard to pick anywhere else in Yarraville to eat since Pizza D'Asporto has opened! Consistently delicious, fresh and fast! It is the perfect pre-movie feast, and pop back after the movie for a decadent dessert!
Marsmuncha
Pizza as it should be! Very authentic base and fresh quality toppings. Setup even reminds me of a classy pizzeria straight outa Napoli! Don't go anywhere else.
Gab De Leon
Highlight: service was top notch<br/><br/>Food was delicious and was quick for a busy Wednesday night. Great dinner spot before a movie.<br/>Bookings recommended for medium to large groups as seating is limited.
Andrew Turner
After watching a film at the Sun Theatre, we headed next door to Pizza D'Asporto. The venue is actually quite small, with a heated outdoor area featuring shared tables. ...and equally cosy interior. There is also another space upstairs, but that was occupied by a function on the Saturday evening we were there. We'd enjoyed coffees from the Kiosk at Williamstown beach, but hadn't tried the original branch in the Rifle Range shopping centre.
RoxyMaxwell
Fantastic pizza, friendly service, great takeaway option. Have had around 5 takeaway pizzas from D'asporto and they're always delicious. They do a great gluten-free base too. The place is always packed as it's so popular. Highly recommended!
Louisaholly1
So happy this has come to Yarraville, finally a delicious pizza place locally! Service is fast and pretty good. 1 star off because it needs more seating for winter and also it should be table service.
Salutations
Salutations. Never in my acclaimed Zomato-ing history have I ever felt the need within me to rate a restaurant a 5/5. Essentially, if a restaurant receives a 4 from me, I have walked out requiring a pants change. And, sadly the day still has not come. However! A 4.5 STAR REVIEW! YES! Classic, "traditionale" Southern-Italian food, I really got around it. Thin bases, incredibly lovely produce, warm and cozy service. The environment and location also tick the proverbial boxes for me. Upstairs is also an absolute cream and a half if you wish to book a function. Look, to keep it simple, get down to D'Asporto as soon as you can, or I will hunt you down. 4.5/5, absolutely incredible. I love life.
BousmaUte
gday, THIS IS THE GREATEST RESTAURANT IVE EVER VISITED IN MY LIFE. Service...spectacular. Staff...superb.Food...creamworthy. Enough said. Special mention to Anthony (i think). Member of the elite. Membership is waiting in your mailbox

Love the Yarraville outlet. Came here with my best friend in winter and sat outside. They gave us blankets to keep warm. I'm not a vegetarian but absolutely loved their porcini pizza and pesto pasta. This is fantastic authentic Italian food, one of my local favs.
Split The Bill
This pizza place next door to the sun theater exceeded our expectations. We ordered the margherita, San Danielle, Salumi, focaccia acciughe (without anchovies) and a bowl of chips. They serve authentic Italian pizza, thin woodfire base with the right amount of toppings. It would be great if they have a kids menu as well as tomato sauce served with chips. Service was great, staff were very friendly and pizzas came out quick.
Claudia Stevenson
We came here for a quick pizza before a film one night and I ordered two pizzas. The second pizza went through as the wrong order (mostly due to my poor attempt at Italian than staff error) but the staff were so apologetic and fixed up the error within a few minutes. It is beyond refreshing when someone does their job with a smile and kindly - even when hospitality can be tough.<br/>Not to mention the best pizza in the western suburbs (in my opinion) <br/>Thank you again guys, we'll be back asap 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Sandra O'Brien
So glad you're now in Yarraville too! Perfect place to eat prior to the movies as it's right next to the Sun Theatre. My fav is the Capricciosa, DELICIOUS! Most authentic italian pizza I've ever had in Melbourne. Keep up the great work!
Andrew Kelly
BEST BEST BEST. I was worried that Yarraville could not support yet another pizza place but I am so happy Pizza D'asporto has arrived. They are serving some of THE most authentic Italian Pizza I have tried. The style here with the super puffy crust and light toppings takes me back to travelling through Italy. It seems the buzz has gone around as they are super busy now with them trying to fill every space with seats. I see they have a space upstairs not open yet which would be perfect for functions, hint hint :)
Matt Isaac
2 Delicious pizzas, a bottle of tasty red wine, all for under $60. Can't go wrong for a date night. Will be coming back for pizza and movies at the Sun Theatre soon.
Rachio
Best pizza in yarraville. Lovely thin bases and quality produce. Can get very busy so takeaway times can vary but definitely my go to in the area.
Konrad Smyth
Excellent Pizzas. What else do I need to say? As  I have to fill up 140 characters, I'll also mention that the location is great, right next to the Sun Theatre and that there is plenty of seating.
Rebecca Russell
Best Italian food I've ever tasted. The staff were very welcoming and very friendly. It's a small place but very lovely. Highly recommended.
Moneta Tan
These guys make the best pizza in the western suburbs. My boyfriend said their capriciossa is the best he's ever had in Australia. Great service considering they are always super busy.
Valina Whites
Great pizza, great prices. Staff are very nice! Tiramisù to die for. Wine wasn't great, but probably fair enough, for the price. Overall good experience!
Tabita Tan
Awesome food, great staff, top service that exceeds your expectation! a must place to have meal before and after the movies! I always look forward to come here and meet with friends! Very reasonably priced authentic Italian food!
Marie
Place came recommended by a friend and boy did it not disappoint. Killer wood fired pizzas, authentically Italian. Gets super busy on the weekend for dinner service, but they serve meals in the outdoor open area in Yarraville which is quite charming in itself. To add to its charm, they have a resident saxophone player on the stairs for incredible ambience. <br/>One of our diners was lactose intolerant, which at an Italian restaurant can be tricky, but never fear - they have dairy free options on the menu and the pizza tasted just as good as the others. Great service and a total win for Yarraville.
Vesna Dupor
I have absolutely no qualms that this is the best pizza in Melbourne. Unfortunately there's limited seating but they're happy to accommodate people eating in the park or there's always the takeaway option.
