I always order Smashed Avo whenever I go out for a brunch. This place has the best Smashed Avo I've ever had so far. šš»
Best fritters (zucchini, corn and halloumi) Iāve had! The coffee was excellent and the service is A+. Sat outside on a nice spring day and was both windswept and food-swept. Coming back for more!
We stumbled up Wee Jeanie one Sunday morning after a friends wedding and we have to say this little place was a welcome surprise.
The place isn't big but they make you feel at home so if you want to come in for breakfast or brunch make sure you get in early or book a table.
We had a few different things from the menu and we have to say everyone had something good but everyone also had food envy, because everything was great.
Personally, the Croque Madame was my favourite as it was something different from the normal breakfast/brunch menu for me.
If you find yourself in Yarraville, Wee Jeanie is definitely worth a look in.
Coffee was delicious and creamy! Lovely wait staff, thank you to the waitress who recommended the Wee Jeanie scrambled eggs. Full of flavour with a perfect blend of shallots and herbs. Not an overpowering, super eggy taste like at other places I have been to. I'd go so far as to say it is the best scrambled eggs I've eaten in Melbourne!
Breakfast at wee jeanie this morning. Coffee was good a little cool but i dont mind that.
Loved the atmosphere of the place, cute painting on the wall.
Banana porridge was yum & warming on a cold day. Hubby had the eggs benedict he said they were ok, bit of twist with the pulled beef.
Friendly staff.
Cabinet treats looked tempting.
Fantastic local little cafe - always get my morning coffee here when in the area.
Great sizes served for food and always well cooked and executed
Hubby and I go here ALL the time. Definitely our fav spot in Yarraville. I've tried the porridge and fritters and both are extremely delicious. Coffee can be a bit weak but still good and perfect temperature. A must try if you're in the west.

One of the hip places in the village, greets with beats on arrival in a casual, modern set up. A mix of healthy made to order dishes and grab and go items, sweets mainly, round up the offerings in this small gem. Staff make an effort to make you feel local. An outdoor area offers more choices for the brighter Melbourne days. Good spot for many reasons.
Great little spot for coffee. The food is generally of a high quality. The staff are helpful and try their best to help hopeless people like me who have no idea what they want!
What's better than starting the day with a great cup of coffee? Right, nothing and if you are in Yarraville you are bombarded with choice. To me, Wee Jeanie offers the best coffee in town and a laid back atmosphere that you expect in this quiet neighborhood. Friendly service, smooth lattes and in close proximity to the train station. What more can you ask for. Definitely recommended. Seb
Great coffee in a comfortable, quiet, and friendly environment.Ā I haven't eaten here but the breakfasts look delicious and the attention to detail in everything else here bodes well for the food. Great place to read the paper or have a chat.
I really enjoy the cafes and restaurants in Yarraville and this one is no exception. With a light, bright and happy interior and a fresh feeling about the place we settled in for our breakfast. My Avo on Toast was yum and the relish on the side made for a tasty addition to the norm. Staff were lovely and the food and coffee quick and tasty.
Next to Yarraville Station. Heard great things, especially about their coffee. Coffee window open on the station side. Outdoor seating looked full so sat inside. Zucchini, Corn & Halloumi Fritters were filling. Salad on top was crisp & fresh. 3 Egg Omelette was very rich. Coffees were spot on. Single origin short black was a nice surprise, super fruity.
Came here for breakfast. Staff were quick and our meals didn't take long to arrive. Bircher muesli was really nice and not too sweet like some can be. Perfect amount as I could barely fit the last few mouthfuls in. Coffee was also spot on. Will happily come back for another bite to eat!
Beautiful little place with Great coffee and amazing service, I had the scrambled eggs which isa combination of shallots & herbs not the average scramble you see everywhere else.
Winner
The only thing that's wee about Jeanie is her kitchen. Tucked away in the corner with space for no more than 3 chefs, it still manages to serve up delightful brunch staples. Don't expect anything fancy, Jeanie is all about quality and not quantity nor size for that matter. The food are fresh, tasty and filling, which was all that I cared for after getting of a red-eye flight. The wait for coffee was a bit too long for my liking, mainly due to my lack of sleep, but the ladies sitting next to us did commented on the wait time too. All is not lost when the coffee arrived, my skinny latte was strong and bold. Just what I needed.
I went in today and had the most perfect coconut pancakes. The service was fast and friendly. Even though I ordered something I felt was unhealthy, somehow felt like I was having a healthy breakfast with the amount of fruits it contained. Beautifully decorated and wonderfully cooked, I would definitely come here again.
Wee Jeanie is located on Anderson st. Yarraville just a few metres from the train station. The owner himself is one of the nicest, most genuine businessman you'll ever meet.
Ā
We popped in to Wee Jeanie midweek for brunch. We made our way out to the courtyard in the back which opens up to a wide pathway next door to the train station. My little one was fast asleep in his pram at the time but had he been awake it would have been the perfect space for him to run around whilst I enjoyed my meal.
The customer service was perfectly attentive without being over-bearing. Ā
Ā
I am always on the look out for kid friendly breakfast/brunch eateries located in the West. Whilst on the weekends I do enjoy exploring and venturing out further, week-day catch-ups I prefer to stay closer to home because the logistics of school drop off/pick ups, nap time, dinner prep and my general sanity demand it. So Westy mammas especially, I got you. I feel like the North is spoilt for choice whereas over here in the west our options are somewhat limited. Wee Jeanie has you covered. The trifecta.
Ā
There is free wifi available for those wishing to use their laptop and babycinos are always on the house. Their house blend is currently by Melba Coffee Roasters and their singles/filter roasts vary on the day.Ā

So much choice in Yarraville but I think Wee Jeanie has the best coffee in the area. Great food and very friendly staff.
They have a coffee window which is great when out and about with the pooch.
Seating inside snd outside.
Stumbled into this place after noticing the inviting alfresco courtyard adjacent to the yarraville train station. First impression was fantastic friendly service. Decent menus great coffee and cozy vibe. Food is delicious!!!! Highly recommend, will definitely be back
A hidden gem! This place is superb! ... Coffee is up there, as is their array of food. Great indoor and outdoor seating, super friendly staff and above all reasonably priced! ... Love this place.

Really lovey time this morning - Josh had coconut chia seed pudding with rhubarb and strawberries (no crushed pistachios for him) and I had the smashed avo and Persian feta with an added poached egg. DELISH!
Add to that some yummy coffee (and decent almond milk!) and you've got yourself a treat :-)
Have eaten here three or four times, have pretty much the same thin every time (the super food salad with felafel, I highly recommend it) and the staff is always really friendly and welcoming. Only thing I'd say is I'd like more variety on the menu. Kitchen is relatively well sized, and could possibly cater for this. About to try the coffee everyone raves about....
Super cute corner cafƩ that even has a little peep window that allows for quick access to takeaway coffees. The outdoor area is also very pleasant to chill and hang out. Food is good, but the coffee is better. Would recommend trying out. Really great coffee. Creamy and easy to drink. No sugar needed. It is on the pricier side though. 7.7/10
Breakfast here is good, but a little inconsistent. Fritters on one day were nearly perfect, and a few days later were very salad-heavy and a little stodgy. Excellent coffee, and cute atmosphere.
Not a huge range of dishes but they are all cooked well and presented lovingly. I had the pancakes and they were absolutely fabulous with multiple types of berries, flowers, and delicious ice cream! I also sampled (from my friends) almost all the other menu items and they were also very good. As a non-coffee drinker I have to rely on my friends assessment that the coffee was very nice, especially the cold drip. Service was alright and the decor is very nice.
What a great found today with this cottage style cafe next to Yarraville Railway Station. The service was so pleasant and welcoming. We ordered the seasame crumbled chicken breast, as well as zucchini, corn, haloumi fritter. They were amazing. Well flavoured and good balance. Their hot chocolate was fantastic too, dark rich chocolate! Fall in love with this place now, strongly recommended and would be back soon.
WJ is an unpretentious simple cafe, no hype, with a relaxing cool atmosphere and patrons, very friendly staff, fast service and a very small Middle-Eastern influenced menu.Ā They don't have a proper kitchen, so the food you find here is very simple.
I had their zucchini + halumi fritters with roasted capsicum, roasted mini-truss tomatoes and spinach with an added poached egg and they were very good. The egg was perfectly poached, and the fritters were really moist and creamy. Overall a very healthy fresh satisfying dish full of flavour.
Their coffee is very good and they have mugs. Yai!
I love their crockery, but they could easily improve the presentation of their dishes.
Ā
I found the sides a bit expensive. 3$ for an added egg, and 5$ for added falafel is a bit of a no-no to me.
This place has seriously good chai. It has the perfect level of spice, and isn't too cardamomy. And it comes in a teapot that gives you at least four cup's worth for under $5.00 (and that's with soy milk!). The service was friendly and the outdoor communal tables perfect for a casual lunch, or to sit with a laptop. The porridge is wholesome and filling, presented beautifully with golden caramalised bananas. A perfect place to chill out on the weekend.
I love this place. Solid coffee and the sandwiches are delicious. Try the ham and cheese with Welsh Rarebit if you're feeling decadent. Yum.
Food and coffee are good, however I prefer more water in a long black. Its a little more than a double espresso but not quite a long black. Great for needing a wake up on the way to the train.
What it lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality. This was the first time I tasted freshly made crumpets and my lord, I doubt I can return to the supermarket varieties. The crumpets were light and fluffy, and a perfect accompaniment to the thick slices of European bacon and creamy scrambled eggs. A small glass cabinet host a variety of wee goodies, I had my ey
Great lunch. A delightful find in trendy Yarraville. The scrambled eggs on crumpets with beetroot jelly - yum. Very good coffee and attentive service. Certainly will be back.
Love it.. Consistently great coffee, delicious food and really nice staff. Perfecto!
Gave them another try, much improved in the coffee temperature stakes, service was relaxed but excellent, and I want their Bircher Mueslii recipe. Smiles all 'round!

Plenty of alternatives, why bother?. Coffee was tepid & they only take cash - caused me to traipse around the village with associated ATM expenses. Yes, the leaf pattern on top of the coffee was exquisite, but if the coffee's luke warm, the effort is misplaced, Yarraville is not short of cafƩs, but this cafe falls short.
Best coffee in Yarraville. Consistently great coffee. I've found the taste and quality never varies they are that good.

Excellent staff, super friendly and accommodating. Always get my morning coffee here and the food is amazing whenever I've tried it. Much better value than the bakery beside it. BEST COFFEE IN YARRAVILL
Amazing!. Food is absolutely amazing!!! Had the most amazing breakfast today, highly rate this place.
Great little cafe. Highly recommend. Great atmosphere, coffee and cake. Will definitely return to try your breakfast and lunch menu sometime soon. And not far from the train stop too. A Yarraville visit, highly recommended - a great day out with lots of lovely eateries and nice shopping to be had - just a short train ride from Flinders station. Thanks wee Jeanie
How do I love thee... let me count the ways.. Oh Wee Jeanie. Your divine coffee's. Your Vanilla Rice Pudding. Your Freekah Salad. I could eat here daily and do sometimes. Unlike the other reviewer below, I prefer W.J coffee to the Corner Shop any day and twice on weekends. But it's preference, I guess. Brekky bacon and egg roll and blackrice and mango is killer. Great place to bring your laptop and work for a while. Don't think twice. Just latte.
Great local. Feel. Coffee. Thumbs up.
Great local cafe. Wee jeannie has great coffee in an edgy but welcoming environment . The warm vanilla rice pudding with poached strawberries and pistachios in winter and the cold sticky black rice pudding with mango and yoghurt in summer are my favourite food highlights. My daughter prefers the salads. I like the local friendly feel. One of yarraville's best!
Great little place. Dropped by for lunch today and had baked eggs with mushroom and feta for $12. Satisfying dish, although I like my yolks runnier. The coffee, and the service, were excellent.
Just had breakfast this morning and it was good. There isn't a lot to the menu but we had the rice pudding and baked eggs and they were both really tasty. Also got some take away sandwiches for lunch which are also nice. A good little spot overall
Great Service. I had a lovely sandwich for lunch and it was really delicious. I felt good after I ate it and the coffee is great. I highly recommend.
I took the trip out to Yarraville just for this coffee. it was well worth the trip. perfect crema, thick and delicious. good job wee jeanie !
Chai was simply delicious! Cornbeef toastie was out of control yummy. Service and decor spot on. Ta muchly;)
Love this place!. Best place to go to on Sunday morning for breakfast! The baked eggs are to die for, and so is the rice pudding!! The portions are just the right amount. The service here is great. The hot chocolates are served in these gorgeous cups. The owners have really gone out on a limb to outdo themselves with this cafe. Highly recommend breakfast here!!
Of all the great spots to get coffee in yarraville, WeeJeanie, located literally a stones throw from the station, is by far the most consistent. Food is rustic, fresh, unique and always delicious. Love calling this place my local!
Charming and friendly. A great cafe for catch ups and yummy coffee.
Beautiful coffee, great service. A real gem.
Indayyyy. But best coffee in yazzaville. Love the cute venue, nice style and simplistic offerings, very good coffee.
I'm in looooove. i'm in loo-oo-ve... I'm in love with my babay, my baby, my baby greeen

she give me brewww, breeew breew breww,

bring back the broccoli salad guys.
Love the coffee, the staff and the food! my only gripe is a little more variety food wise. I know cornershop is for more elaborate breakfasts however I have only seen one change and one addition in 8 months.
Great coffee actually one of the best and great service
Best Coffee in Yarraville. This place is amazing! Don't be fooled by the simple surrounds, Wee Jeanie is a golden gem. Located close to the train line, these Scottish folks can make coffee and worth it if you catch the barrister smiling too.
Perfect coffee every morning and definitely worth a breakfast run as well.
Yarraville Hideout. Wee Jeanie has become a local haut of mine, with a satisfying cup and an always filling plate.
Beautifully decorated to a simple modern design with hi-lights of australian flora, Wee Jeanie is perfectly styled to fit their simple but delicious menu. After recently opening it has become what appear to be a haven for hipsters, mothers and the usual productive on their Macbook. While the menu is small it is satisfying and cheap, the baked eggs is wholesome and the eggplant kusundi is to die for. This round I had avocado and feta sandwich which was recommended by the helpful and cheerful staff, I was not disappointed. The coffee was lovely, perfectly strong and consistent (something hard to find) a great strong soy latte. Though many have complained about the warm temperature of the coffee I found my second order of the single origin in a long black nice and hot. The Guatemlan La Soledad was full of fruity and rich notes without a sharp after taste, which left me with a smile on my face for the next hour. My only qualms would be the lack of water at the tables and the lack of multigrain bread options. If you're looking for a relaxing breakfast and heartwarming coffee in the west Wee Jeanie is the one.
Great coffee. Wee jeanie has fantastic coffee love the interior of the place but dont think i'd eat there again
My new fave. I love this little place! Best coffee and I've tried their toasted sangas and salads and am never disappointed. Very reasonable prices too. Just enough room for a pram or 2 on a weekday which is great and the staff are always really friendly. A great addition to Anderson St!
Good things come in small packages. I recall when this was a second hand CD shop! The space was empty for a while. I believe it's Cornershop's lil sis? As I have never been able to get a seat at Cornershop, I decided to try here. I have always enjoyed the coffee and breakfasts I have had here. Service is polite and efficient. More a place to read the paper and watch the world go by or come here with a partner or friend. Not so child friendly. Would perhaps just come with one littlie in tow, though I have seen families sitting on the outside table.
Another great cafe in Yarraville.. Great atmosphere, good coffee and a lovely caramel slice (with a hint of cinnamon? Sweet). I look forward to enjoying the courtyard when it's a bit sunnier.
Fantastic Coffee. I was passing by this cafe and noticed the sleek 3-group machine - it turned out to be a Slayer, one of the best you can get. They have a Robur grinder, as any good cafe should have. So we have the machine and the grinder - a good start. How good would the barista and the coffee blend be?
In short, excellent espresso.
These people are serious about coffee, and it is a serious competitor for the best coffee in Melbourne. It certainly is the place to go for coffee in Yarraville.
Wee delight. Sometimes good things come in small packages as is the case with Wee Jeanie. The menu is limited and meals may not be large but what they do have they do very well. The welsh rarebit was yummy and the baked eggs with kasundi, chorizo and fetta was doubly yummy. Good coffee rounded up a petite but satisfying brunch. The tables are a good distance apart so you don't feel crammed in. Once seated, the staff are on top of things and it was just such a calm oasis away from the weekend hustle and bustle.
I'll be back.... Wow this place has it all, a great addition to the Yarraville Cafe scene.
Excellent food, coffee and service - will be back for sure!
Great coffee groove looking. Grabbed a coffee this morning and it was great.. Hear this place is owned by the same people as the cornershop
Decor is sharp and food coming out looked good. Avo feta n rocket on toast might be breakfast tomorrow
Sort of don't want to tell anyone about this as it's smallish in size but worth some praise
A wee ripper. Officially my new local - terrific vibe, great little menu and the coffee is seriously up there with the best in Melbourne.
All hail the Slayer!
Spot on!. Had a Coffee, well several and all were really first class, food sounds great too, will def try next time!
Love it. Went yesterday (Public Holiday), so very very very busy. For a cafe only JUST opened they were coping well with the onslaught! Coffee was amazing! Food just as great!
Customers expect the world even on Public Holidays, so 'hat's off' to Wee Jeanie for doing their BEST.
Hadnāt been here in awhile and have forgotten how much we love it here! Pat had the omelette and I had scrambled eggs on toast. Sounds like a normal breakfast order but this blew my mind, definitely something I wouldnāt be able to replicate at home.
On top of that, portion sizes were good and it was priced well too! One of the best almond lattes Iāve had in awhile as well. Great chill atmosphere, thanks guys for doing an awesome job āŗļø
My favourite cafe in Yarraville. The super food salad was unmatched (see photo). Came here over 10 times during a 6 month period and always had consistent service and amazing food. Thank you! Itās a small place, so donāt bring a large group. Great for cosy intimate catch-ups, or for solo cafe hoppers who like the solitude and curling up in a corner. They also do fresh juice!
On the corner near the station so you can't miss it, Wee Jeanie has a dark interior but heated outdoor courtyard which is nice. Coffee is average but food is pretty good.
