Tried this cafe out today as my local is shut for Easter. Awesome coffee, friendly staff and food looked amazing - definitely coming back for brunch.

We've now tried this place twice a few months apart and I can't speak of it highly enough. Coffee and dishes were spot on, service was quick, accommodating and friendly. I've had eggs benedict in well over 100 Melbourne cafes and this one definitely has them down to a fine art. A must!
Had the smashed avo with a side of hash and holly and a long black and wow it so good the cucumber and mint salsa was a different combination but worked really well staff where really friendly and very helpful when making my choice for brunch really good location definitely a hidden gem and tidy set up and a good use for space 5/5
Away from the busy Yarraville centre, with all the people walking by, you can relax outside in the sun sipping coffee enjoying a nice brunch (that is if you can find a seat). Peak hours are busy & there’s good reason. Best corn fritters & strong iced lattes. Doing the basic things right. Admire the red brickwork of this once former textile factory, with exposed beams & concrete floors. Great hospitable service too.
Nice cosy cafe with a detailed menu. I had the pot pie last weekend and it was delicious! Still thinking about it today, will definitely be back.
This was a great little cafe, I had researched for a cafe to go too to catch up an old friend I hadn’t seen in ages and this place looked amazing. The cafe is small but has a great vibe too it. The food was good, I was very satisfied but then again I am a big food lover but order the same stuff over and over again. But I did really enjoy my food. The service was good in delivering food and drinks and staff as well. I would recommend this to anyone
Normally go to brunch in brunswick Fitzroy and decided to try the West - read amazing reviews about this cafe and honestly one of the rare times even the amazing reviews didn’t do it justice. The food is outstanding, the service friendly and quick and coffee 5 star. they ran out of almond milk for my second coffee and gave me a complimentary black coffee. My vegan mushrooms were full of taste and my hubby got the smashed avo with chorizo and honestly the one time there was SO much avocado!

What a great new menu for such a wonderful cafe. We had lunch here and the shredded corn beef sandwich was excellent as well as the burger special. I’m as always a big fan of the code black coffee

A nice little cafe in Yarraville - had the black rice lunch salad which was fresh, light and full of flavour. It came out nice and quick and the overall atmosphere of the cafe was really relaxed!

Forever my go to brunch place in the area. Came in today for their new menu and had the Breakfast Board which was amazing. The different flavours on board fit perfectly well with the hot weather. Nice and refreshing. Woven is a little on the pricier side, but thats not stopping me from coming back.
Staff is a bit of a hit and miss, they can be happy and attentive or not.
Have been here before a while ago and enjoyed it, so chose to return when my partner and I saw they had an appealing burger special going. The experience was a mixed bag. We were seated by a very grumpy waitress, don't think she cracked a smile the entire time we were there. We had another lovely waitress who was very attentive. We both ordered the shake shack burger, which came out in good time. The flavour of the burger patties was really good (made in house) however the burger as a whole was underwhelming and dry, and to top it off they don't have tomato sauce for the fries! The burgers from the Mr Burger truck at Yarraville Gardens are much better and more affordable. We paid $25 each for the burger and a side of chips and we both left disappointed.
I went here for lunch today, we were seated straight away and the staff were friendly. I got a banoffe pie smoothie and the banana bread and my friend got an ice chocolate and the shake shake burger which was on the specials board. The drinks were good and came out pretty quickly - the smoothie could have used more of the toffee part but I still liked it. The banana bread brunt around the edges but otherwise nice and my friend said the burger was nice and quite filling. It also came with chips which were good. Overall, it was kinda an average place. I mainly wanted to try the banoffe smoothie which I honestly haven't seen anywhere else.
Elisha Hodges and I enjoyed some really good food, meals tasted great! The staff were great and very speedy. However, for the price, the portion sizes should have been much bigger. Will definitely be back to try some more menu items!
Wait for a table was a bit long as it is a very busy cafe but definitely worth the wait. The cafe is very small and cramped but has a comforting cozy atmosphere. Had the corn and zucchini fritters, smashed avocado and baked eggs. Corn and zucchini fritters were amazing, they were incredibly herbaceous and flavoursome. Best zucchini and corn fritters I've ever had. The smashed avocado was beautiful too, the bread was toasty, buttery and salty, perfect with the poached eggs and avo. The baked eggs had too much beans in it which made it sickening after a while. Coffee was amazing, the matcha latte wasn't the best I've ever had. Waiters are friendly and service was fairly quick for such a busy cafe. Coffee came minutes after we ordered and the food came 15 minutes after. Definitely coming back

Really good delicious meals. The perfect spot for a weekend brunch. The menu is interesting with a modern take on standard brunch items. I've tried quite a few items on the menu and most are good, well balanced and seasoned. Well priced. Excellent coffee and good service. Plenty of seating inside and outdoor seating covered with umbrellas so bring your puppies.
Definitely a place for a diet blow out meal. Having said that, the food is the shizzle. I had the fried chicken and waffle with maple syrup(if you're gonna go out then you might as well do it properly) and a friend had the mac & cheese waffles. Another friend had the zucchini fritters, we thought a healthier option but they were still deep fried - we didn't seem to care tho because it was just the goodness and yumminess of ooziness. We finished off with the amazing hot chocolates they currently have on the menu - mine the chilli cinnamon and a friend's the orange cardamon. Too good for words. Will eat salad for the rest of the week and its totally worth it. Was a fair wait tho, felt like everything took ages to come out.
Cosy, friendly and a little off the beaten Yarraville track. I wanted to love it: coffee was great, service attentive, but my buttermilk chicken waffles were a tad underwhelming. Chicken was moist & tender, but the dish overall was...beige. Greens of some sort, even as garnish would have lightened the whole. Perhaps I had food envy, as other dishes arriving on neighbour's tables looked more like what I had in mind. So, notching this one up to my poor choice, and will come again.
Had breakfast here on a Saturday morning, we were in and out before 9:30am so it was still fairly quiet. Staff were attentive and other than one coffee order getting mixed up the latte and almond lattes were good, especially liked that the almond milk was house made. Orders came out quickly and both meals were tasty. Baked eggs were great, the beans were especially nice. Poached eggs with mushrooms on gluten free toast was also good, nice to see a cafe using quality gluten free bread as oppose to the tiny, supermarket standard pieces of toast you often get. Would go back again.
Went here today with friends and the cafe was super busy which shows just how popular it was. The staff were quick to give us a table but our group ended up being split up (our choice), as they tried adding a small stool at the end of the table which would block a walk way.
The food had delicious flavours; I ordered the "smashed avocado" but asked for it without feta so ended up having to smash it myself, which is fine. My partner got the banana bread and said it was nice. One fault I would say was because he finished quicker than I did, his plate was cleared whilst I was still eating.
The decor was cute, although it can be super squishy, especially when the queue to pay weaves in between tables.
Came here for Sunday brunch with friends. Chai latte was average, coffee was good and the milkshake was nice, however no freak shakes are made here anymore which is disappointing because it's the reason we came :( Staff were friendly however did my pet hate of clearing the table before everyone had finished eating. Food itself was good, beautiful sour dough bread with the dishes. Baked eggs with ham hock were great, although the bone I had in my food wasn't. Waffles with chicken were flavoursome, fresh chicken however a bit oily and waffles were a bit soggy, delicious flavours though. A good cafe with cool industrial decor, still definitely some points for improvement.
Me and my partner decided to have breakfast out and we opted for Woven Cafe.
The place was really busy but luckily there was a table for 2 (glad to see local support ).
We ordered drinks to start, the coffee (code black) was not bad, let's say it was rushed which it is understandable considering how busy they were.
We waited for about 30 minutes for our meals: Dutch Baby $20 (a special) and the Corn Fritters $19. The food was tasty and worth the wait, fresh produce and good combination of flavours.
Overall a good experience, friendly staff, tasty food and a cool looking venue.
Ps. Must try the breakfast platter next time.
Great tasting green tea shake. Certainly one of my new favorites now. It's appealing to the eyes and my taste buds. Best to share it with at least one more person.

My husband and I came across this little gem 2 weeks ago and have been back 3 times since... Breakfast is delicious... The fritters are the reason we keep coming back!
Home style breakfast was awesome. We had the fritters with a beautiful dressing and poached egg, and ate the lot!! Food service was prompt, along with juices and tea. Coffee service was a bit slow. Overall, pricing was good for quality. Atmosphere was pleasant. Would go back.
I had the breakfast board and the granola was a highlight for me, one of the best I've had. I would definitely be back but to try something else on the menu.

Woven is one of most vibrant cafes in Yarraville. About 7 minutes walking distance from the Ballarat+Anderson Sts intersection, it is worth the stroll. I absolutely loved the ambience, the quirkiness and layout of the place, and the long bench facing the street, perfect for people-watching :O The patrons are a mix of all ages. Family friendly. Dude friendly. Couples friendly. Solos friendly.
Their menu has a mix of all time favourites with a bit of a twist, and some specials of the day. I liked everything being served around.
I had one of the specials of the day, the Corn Three Ways, which was excellent, with a great mix of textures, colours and flavours, and a lot of thought put into it. I truly enjoyed it. I thought that, perhaps, a bit of zestiness or a dressing of some sort (even if put on the side) might have improved the dish without disturbing its beauty and mix of textures. But it might be just me.
Their coffee is strong and well prepared -- Good. Large and average size cups are available. Yai!
Decent to big serving portions. Their burgers are the size of my head, and their smoothies ditto. Fit for a man or for a cookie-monster belly. Just the sight made my belly rejoice.
The main problem with the place was the slow service and the lack of care of some of the staff. Let's be fair. The place was very busy and the staff were running all over. Let's be honest, they needed another waiter for the service to be well-paced, that or a faster system being implemented at the kitchen. It took 10 minutes for one of the girls to come to my place and ask me if I was ready to order; well, it takes me 1 minute to decide on what to eat :O. It took about 15 minutes after placing my order for the food to be served to me. You know, 25 minutes since I showed up. I was starving. The girl seemed not to care about that area of the cafe, looked exhausted and sluggish. Thank gosh for the other girl, who saw my face, and approached to see if I had ordered and what was happening and was nice enough to treat me as a human being. She made a difference. Slow inattentive service does not score with me, unfortunately.
I still loved the place. And that corner with E.T. is EPIC. :))
Straight to the point, the freakshake photos lured us to this place and we were not dissapointed. The thing was massively massive! It was a whole lot bigger than it looked in the pictures. We ordered the matcha freakshake which was actually a secret menu item so you would not find it anywhere on the menu. We were told that they only do this on the weekends and one flavour at a time. Matcha will be on for another two weeks before they try a different flavour. When the shake came our the whole resto look at our table with a mix of surprise, delightness and pure disgust haha.. We also tried the baked eggs and scrambled eggs which were average, but then we were not there for the eggs anyway.
Really impressed. Service was really great nice friendly. Food was really tasty. Had the dukkah rolled eggs. Really yum. Service was nice a quick. Great place.

You won't find Woven Cafe on the main strip in Yarraville, which is is a massive bonus on a busy weekend in the Inner West. A slightly more relaxed and laid back feel than other cafes, the food is definitely a highlight here. I ordered corn & zucchini fritters with bacon. They were perfectly tasty, crispy and were accompanied with a zesty dressing and a well poached egg. I'll definitely be back to try some other items off the menu.
Woven has fast become our go-to place. It may not be the cheapest place for some brunch in Yarraville, but it's been consistently the best. Food and coffee are great. The avocado smash is delightful - my only complaint is I wish they would make the eggs optional! Some days I just can't face 2 poached eggs, and just want the avo, scrumptious cheese, and salsa verde.
The fritters are great. Specials are always interesting and good. Crumpets are yum. Fruit toast, yum (hefty, I can never finish both slices). Boy has had a few of the burgers and they've all been great according to him. Wasn't a huge fan of the kale and tofu gratin, but it wasn't bad. I just wouldn't order it again.
All in all, great place for some nosh. Pretty kid friendly as well, if you have a few sproglets in tow.
What a surprising find. A cute unassuming cafe with warm woody interior and low hanging light bulbs, creating a homely atmosphere. Service was friendly from start to finish. Breakfast was lovely, we ordered the baked eggs and crumpets with bacon. The crumpets were nicely done - crispy edge and soft and fluffy inside. Paired with the honeyed mascarpone, it was moist and delicious. The baked eggs were realły filling. On the way out, the pumpkin custard walnut muffin caught my eye - no regrets at all! A great local cafe!
Stumbled upon this cafe by accident. Had the breakfast board which was amazing. Great coffee and yummy juice (liver cleanser yum!) Service is great too. I would come here daily for coffee if I lived around the corner. Great work!
Fantastic cafe, a wonderful spot for bunch, coffee and cold pressed juice. Service was helpful and attentive and the food was great, with generous servings too. The smashed avo is a stand out.

One of Melbourne’s obsessions, and there are many, is it’s love affair with coffee, more specifically it’s myriad of little cafe’s on laneways, the more obscure the location the more popular it would seem. Woven Cafe, located along Stephen Street in Yarraville, is a relatively new addition to this list of top quality cozy Cafes.
Away from Yarraville village, you will find a warehouse conversion brimming with new offices and cafes. Woven takes a small converted space, transforming it into a cool industrial hangout, complete with dinosaur filled terrariums and suspended succulents. With seasonal rotating specials, the menu is exciting with global inspirations making brunch exciting. On a cold winter’s day, the desire for spicy heat, made the Bollywood Breakfast alluring beyond belief. The Sucuk sausage was beyond delicious, a subsequent google search indicating a high-fat content (no wonder..) and a Turkic origin. Paired with the spice of house labne rolled in dukkah and fried eggs on grilled roti bread, this dish was both creative and flavoursome. The S.O had the oyster mushroom escabeche, a simple dish of succulent oyster mushrooms laying on a bed of buttered poached leeks. The menu at Woven is definitely one of our favourites in Yarraville.
Faultless and consistent. Best cafe in Yarraville. The kitchen produces some amazing dishes and great service. Great outdoor spaces ready for warmer weather and beautiful coffee. Smashed avo is my top dish, followed by baked eggs. If you like it sweet the crumpets with bacon are outstanding
It feels like Collingwood without the high prices and cooler-than-thou attitude. They have fitted out the compact space with wood, brick, polished concrete and exposed beams, in keeping with its formerly industrial heritage. There are a few outdoor seats with umbrellas too. The menu is small but interesting. I choose the tofu and kale gratin with a lemon, herb and toasted nut crust ($14) which sounded smugly healthy and an apt pitstop for those visiting Art of Cycling next door. I enjoyed the umami flavours of the gratin but found the texture a bit dry overall. I think a gooey poached egg on top would balance out all that crunchiness better.
Good vibes and great food- everything I've eaten here so far has been very satisfying and full with flavour. Can't stress how amazing the crumpets are with a side of bacon!
Woven is really really good! A great set up inside and out, it's good to have view of the kitchen and see the food being served, it helps with the decision making process when you want everything on the menu! Avo and feta smash with poached eggs and bacon was top draw, my lady had the tofu dish and it blew her away!! Coffee was perfect and the staff were great...go there!!
All stitched up for a return visit. Was tossing up between their meatball sandwich with handcut chips, or the smashed avocado with poached eggs. Opted for the avo smash with eggs, with a side of salmon and a hash brown and some banana bread sith honeyed mascarpone. My friend chose the corn fritters and was quite pleased with her choice, mentioning that the fritters were crumchy out, soft and moist inside.
I really liked my dish - simple foods made well. I shared my meal with my daughter and she had no complaints either. And their banana bread with the honeyed masrcarpone? Omgoodness!! It was DELICIOUS. I cut it up into soldiers and my daughter had half while I shared the remaining with my friend.
Really enjoyed everything here, and will definitely be back. I especially love how it's in Yarraville, but not where all the terrible traffic is. You guys made my weekend!

Off the beaten track.. On Stephens St a nice step away from the hussle & bustle of Anderson St but close enough to walk or meander between the two. These guys haven`t been open long and getting it right takes a little time, finding your feet can be half the drama & stress of opening and making everyone happy.
My friend and I were comfortable with the seating outside and enjoyed our food only thought was maybe burger meat a little overdone (dry) so had lost its juiciness, this didn`t detract from the overall experience. I`m a real snip when it comes to coffee and didn`t make the time to let them know how I like it, so I had what was served to me & whinged (only to my friend) a little on temperature but regular coffee drinkers would have been very happy.
It wasn`t an awesome lunch but every place fits into your cafedex somewhere, would I be back absolutely they have a nice personal groove happening with a little more conversation with staff I believe I`ll be having an awesome lunch next time.

Superb first experience. Our food was delicious, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully prepared. Coffee was great, prices reasonable, staff very accommodating and respectful.
You've seen this safe choice of fitout before at a dozen other Melbourne cafes; it's clean, with that idiomatic combination of bare wood, brick and dark furnishings. It suits their style of operation to a tee.
Most encouraging of all is the fact that Woven is only a week old. I have a feeling that our visit tally will be well into double figures by the new year - which means they'd better fix or replace that pesky digital till.
Cosy little cafe with a delicious menu, great coffee, and friendly service. The chicken waffle stack was amazing and the coconut ice cream on top was a fun surprise. Poached eggs were great but unfortunately only served with a single slice of sourdough which felt a bit light when ordering with sides. Try the mint and mango iced tea which is a winner. Already looking forward to our next visit.
Amazing chicken tower, I love the idea of the lil injection. The fried ck was soooo good, tasty and crunchy. The coffee was great, they didn’t make coffee too hot, it was perfect temp. Outside area for puppies, nice and comfy, definitely come back again.

The food here is brilliant. Favourite brunch spot in the west at the moment. Everything is delicious and prepared immaculately, coffee is good too!
If your a meat and vege person like I am, then the Brisket Benny special is for you. Its has a hint of heat behind it and was just super tasty. Lots of tasty vegan options on the menu which was good for my friend dinning with me who has allergies. My friend and I had the Salted Caramel Mocha and all I can say is I wish I ordered 2 for myself lol. Staff are friendly, look forward to dinning here again.
Amazing food! So fresh! Had the smashed avocado...absolutely delicious it had to be the freshest avocado I have ever had with feta cucumber and a hint of mint...yummo😁 Service was perfect!
Found this place by accident today while on a drive and am very glad I did. Coffee was great. I also had the pea & mint fritters which were super tasty. The chipotle mayo had some kick to it, which I loved.
