I had a takeaway coffee and a organic beef pie one afternoon. I like it that they have a mini size coffee as sometimes I’d just like a small coffee fit without filling up on so much milk. The coffee is perfect, beef pie was very good as well- good filling not too greasy. Lovely staff

Took @Codalicious for our first breakfast in our new neighbourhood. All Day Menu was simple, but had a good range of breakfast staples and burgers for lunch. Codalicious had the chilli scrambled eggs and they were sensational. “It was like they had all my favourite things in one dish.” The whipped feta in the middle of the eggs and shaved Parmesan on top provided a nice balance to the Asian flavours. I had poached eggs (cooked perfectly) on toast with a side of halloumi (it’s Fried AND cheese... it should be a core side on all menus). It just really should

Boma Is one of the greatest Melbourne cafes In existence. The food, the staff, the customers and the whole community is incredibly Inviting and super friendly.

The food was INSANE.

Pancakes: a no brainer for me! They were cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of drizzle.
Granola Bowl: With a gorgeous, pink poached pear sitting on top of a bowl of crunchy, granola goodness, you can't go wrong!
Halloumi Burger: Literally speechless. I could eat this all day. Crumbed and spiced to perfection!
Eggs Benny: Well, Duh! It's a cafe staple! With a spicy bacon crumble atop this classic, the flavours were mouthwatering and hearty!
Chia pudding: A decadent bowl of chia seeds with a subtle mango cream layering the bottom. Garnished with fresh fruits like kiwi, the citrus cut through the sweet, creamy flavours perfectly!

I'm so Impressed and can't wait to take my friends and family here!

Came here for brunch with a friend a few weeks ago and despite being unexpectedly small with quite limited seating - I was glad to find a table inside for us as I arrived just before 10am on a Sunday. Soon after I sat down there were many people arriving and had to wait for a table so get in early.

Coffee was great - I ordered a batch brew which came along with a tasting notes card and was one of the best brews I’ve had. I ordered a Small Salad + eggs which gave me a choice of 2 salads which were in the window display at the counter. These were both equally delicious. My friend ordered the chilli scramble (a popular dish amongst all tables) and was enjoyed thoroughly.

Would be back again to try the other menu items!

Kentucky halloumi burger, beef burger and pulled pork egg benedict all tasted delicious. Definitely not on the light-and-healthy side, but high quality of ingredients and friendly service. We’ll be back!!

The west has sometimes lagged behind the East in brunch quality, but Boma matches it if not tops the best cafes of the East. Food presentation and taste is impeccable, and the staff are genuine, upbeat.and welcoming.

Boma is located off the side streets of Yarraville and you can tell it’s a locals favourite. This cozy cafe has a sleek and modern interior. Their menu is focused on classics with a little twist and their dishes are flavourful and beautifully presented. My personal favourites have to be the eggs benny as well as the granola, my friends who are regulars love their chilli scrambled eggs and the pancakes are absolutely stunning. The staff are super lovely and chatty - honestly, this is a great representation of the Melbourne standard of hospitality

I'm always excited when a new cafe opens up out west, so I couldn't wait to try recently opened Boma in Yarraville. Away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of this cute suburb, Boma is a tiny space with plenty of heart. With just a few tables available, it's small... but it's beautifully decorated, extremely light and airy with plenty of windows. A relaxed ambience encourages you to stay a while, and the delicious menu will keep you coming back.

On a freezing cold day, I couldn't pass up on the apple porridge...a sensational mix of creamy grains, syrup, apple matchsticks and toasted nuts. Absolutely delicious, hearty and filling; just as the perfect porridge should be.

The strawberry meringue pancakes are the standout dish of the cafe. A towering stack of fluffy pancakes, with fresh berries and meringue shards; these pancakes were amazing. So light and fluffy, with just a touch of sweetness, I savoured every mouthful!!

There is also a gorgeous array of savoury dishes, and pastries and sweet treats are also available. The coffee is fantastic, and really hit the spot. There was a regular stream of customers coming in for takeaways, so it would seem that these guys are already attracting a regular customer base. With impeccable, friendly service and such fantastic food, I foresee Boma being a huge hit with Yarraville locals, and they are definitely onto a great start.

Thank you for hosting us.

Fresh New Face on the West Café Scene

After only opening a few months ago, Boma is quickly becoming a new favourite by the locals and their fury friends.

🐶 Attention Dog Lovers – This is definitely a café for you!

As a local, I heard about Boma through visiting Kodama in Williamstown. The owners had proudly opened their second café, and naturally I knew it was somewhere I had to try. I can definitely say, I was not disappointed. Every aspect of the café was fantastic and true to it’s location.

📍Located in the beautiful community of Yarraville, it is just a short 5-10 minute walk from the centre of Yarraville and it’s train station.

👥The staff are as lovely as they get and warmly welcome you into their beautiful café. I watched in awe as they made a genuine effort to ensure that everyone who stepped through their doors felt as important as the next. I enjoyed speaking with the passionate Head Chef Django and discussing some of the genius behind the Boma and Kodama menu.

🔆 The café is small, but still offers a fair amount of seating. Indoor and undercover outdoor seating is available. The wooden paneling paired with the gold tabletops creates an unexpected comforting interior. It works well.

The delicious menu flows consistently with their Williamstown café, but continues to offer new brilliant options.

We were treated to an absolute feast of a breakfast. The best part? It tasted as good, if not better (how is that possible?) than it looks!

🍐 House Toasted Granola with a delicious and utterly perfect looking Saffron Poached Pear, seasonal fruits and maple yoghurt. $17.50
💬 Honestly, the poached pear is such a showstopper. Slicing through it was pure satisfaction and biting into it with the mix of the house toasted granola.. crunchy morning bliss!

🍒 Rolled Oat Porridge with a delicate addition of the vegan coconut mousse, chai roasted almonds, blueberry gel, orange syrup and lemon balm. $16.50
💬 It was such an interesting mix of flavours. Reading back the ingredients now.. it just doesn’t make sense. The mix of flavours all compliment each other so well, that it creates an overall DELICIOUS taste. The least boring bowl of porridge I have ever had! There was a lot of impressed yummy noises after first digging into this one.

🍓 Strawberry Meringue Pancakes (WOW) with vanilla custard, lemon balm, mascarpone and dehydrated strawberries. $17.50
💬 To be honest, the most powering flavor in this dish is the lemon. It absolutely steals the show, but as a lemon lover – there were no complaints here! The addition of the strawberry flavor was subtle. An interesting dish that looked stunning and provided a light hit of flavours.

🥑 We picked the Smashed avo, but went with the vegan alternative. As a big fetta and egg lover, I was interested to see if the other flavours were still able to carry the dish.. (with beetroot hummus, almond dukkha, kalamata olive soil on sourdough).
💬 However, I can confirm that the dish was still great! The flavours brought through with the beetroot hummus and the almond dukkha, were fantastic and held their own ground!

With each dish meticulously thought out and superbly executed, this no doubt formed one or the best brunches we’ve had for a long while. The flawless pairing and contrasts in flavours and textures, coupled with top quality ingredients, served by warm and hospitable hosts, you bet this was a memorable meal!

Good addition to the Yarraville cafe scene (even if tucked away into the backstreets of Yarraville)

The food was good for the price point. Good thought has gone into the menu with a variety to suit different tastes. Loved the coffee and service from our waitperson Brooke was great. The only gripe i could have was the slight 'tightness' of the cafe seating inside which made it a little uncomfortable.
An opinion is only an opinion, but worth trying it out for yourself.

The moment we entered Boma we were instantly greeted by their friendly staff and felt welcome.

We sampled five of the dishes on the menu including:
1. House made granola - one of the best granolas we have ever had. Very refreshing fruit and perfectly toasted granola 🥝
2. Halloumi burger - another great dish with the great addition of avocado and pickles. Loved the waffle chips as well 🧀
3. Smashed avo - almond dukkah on the egg was delicious and beetroot hummus was also great 🥑
4. Chilli scrambled eggs with a side of bacon - perfect level of spice with fluffy eggs 🍳
5. Strawberry meringue pancakes - light and fluffy, balanced well with the mascarpone 🍓

We highly recommend this cafe - despite being small, it had some great dishes with some of the best staff and service we have ever experienced.

Thanks for having us, can’t wait to return! 😊🙌🏼

Love this new place in Yarraville! I have been here for drinks several times (shout out to the great coffee and the best chai tea in Yarraville - go for the leaves, you won't regret it) and now have finally also had a meal. I got the granola with saffron poached pear and it was DIVINE! The granola was perfectly crunchy and the pear was soft but not too soft and there were lots of yummy fruits. Also a great blueberry compote/gel/concentrate thing to stir into the creamy yogurt (or just eat on its own...). I also tasted my partner's chilli scrambled eggs and they were scrumptious. The staff here are so friendly and attentive. They offer blankets if you sit outside which is a lovely touch. Will be back here pretty much every weekend if I can make it...

🌶 Chilli Scrambled Eggs 🥑 Smashed Avocado, Carrot Hummus Boma Coffee is a cosy cafe located in a quite backstreet of Yarraville, by the incredible team who graced the western suburbs @kodamacoffee and @pango_melbourne. My go-to dish at any of their venues is their signature Chilli Scrambled which is my favourite in Melbourne (and I’ve had a lot to compare to). Just everything about it is pleasing, the crunch from the fried shallots, the heat from their house fermented chilli oil, freshness of the coriander and creaminess of the whipped feta hidden inside. 😍 The “Smashed” Avocado was an interesting surprise given that it does not actually come smashed and more of a DIY situation. This didn’t bother us too much, it meant we could mash to our preference. Avocado and Carrot Hummus are actually a match made in heaven. The bread was super thick cut sourdough which made it abit tough to eat, but overall a very enjoyable dish. 👌🏽 During the week this venue is quiet and serene which I love. Seating inside is limited around 12 seats with plentiful seating outside. I love the consistency between the venues and that each have a few unique dishes that will have you craving and coming back again.

Fantastic neighborhood cafe with friendly and welcoming vibe. Worth the extra block walk from the village. We shared kumara fries, smashed avo, and a superfood salad bowl, all were excellent. Both the oat milk flat white and skinny latte were top notch. Thanks guys!
