Our wedding was held at this beautiful venue in October. New owner's Nicole and her husband have done such an amazing job in improving the entire venue. We did our own decorating and they were both so helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond in helping us. They ensured that the grounds were watered and would look nice for our special day. Nicole was very calm and reassuring and offered advice to ensure the day ran smoothly, even having a copy of our music playlists as backup. We had a guest who needed to be taken to hospital and Nicole calmly organised the ambulance for us. The food hamper they supplied for our photoshoot was amazing as was the grazing table and dinner. We highly recommend using this venue and wish Nicole and her team all the very best.

Great place! Probably the best restaurant in Yeppoon area. It's so European! Love it😍

Beautiful, homey venue for hosting events with a large or small crowd. The staff are great and the whole place feels familiar as soon as you step through the door. If my family weren't such tight-bums who live interstate, I'd definitely host my wedding here. Check the place out if toy get the chance, it's really pretty.

Booked Kanangra for a wedding. Bit of a bumpy trip with them getting to the event, dealing with conflicting information from the owner and manager (I think). Arrived at the venue the day prior to set up all of our decorations for the wedding, as previously arranged. Disappointed to find myself, the groom, scrubbing the gazebo we were getting married under clean so that it could be used for the wedding. We received incorrect information from the manager, which we then had to argue with the owner about, who was not willing (originally) to honour the offer. Day of the wedding, 1 hour before the ceremony was due to start and the chairs were still not all out for our guests to sit on. Again, found myself and my grooms men setting up the venue for the occasion. Throughout the day of the wedding, we did find things to run smoothly on Kanangra's behalf. They were accommodating to our changes of when we were doing things, cutting the cake, speeches etc. The food was fantastic, even with our obscure menu choices. 3 star rating as definitely some things could've been smoother, however the overall atmosphere and vibe on the night were good.

I booked Kanangra Heights as the venue for my recent wedding. I don’t think I could have booked a better venue to suit our purposes. Connie and Tom were flexible, accommodating, genuinely excited for our big event, and got on board to make it as absolutely brilliant as it could possibly be. We were married in the middle of a heatwave and it was very evident on the day that Connie and Tom put in a massive effort keeping the grounds green, attractive and in good condition for our event. Every time I asked for a special favour, they did not hesitate in making it possible. I was surprised in the lead up how flexible Connie was prepared to be around the menu, and how helpful and reassuring she was as I shared my concerns. For a while, the weather forecast looked like my wedding was going to be rained out with thunderstorms - this didn’t eventuate but Connie developed a contingency wet weather plan with me and was prepared to go to a whole other extent of effort to ensure that my wet wedding would be equally magical. These guys are professionals in every sense of the word and I feel so lucky to have found them. I opted for the $95 Gold wedding package and was not disappointed. The food was sensational, it tasted great and I received many compliments from our guests on how the food was of a much higher standard than usual wedding fare. Also very important, they stocked the brands of beer we wanted behind the bar and served it icy cold. If you are considering Kanangra Heights for your wedding venue, my advice to you is do not hesitate. Book it in now. Connie and Tom will do a great job for you.

I would not be writing this if they had returned our $500.00 for their false advertising. Google asked for a review, here it is... An exciting time in our lives was nearing and we were looking for a wonderful place to get married. We had dinner here in 2016, post cyclone Marcia and loved it. We viewed pictures that advertised luscious green grass and beautiful gardens, and sounded perfect, so we called up and booked the venue for our wedding. It was going to be a few weeks before we were able to meet with the coordinator and they wanted a deposit of $500 to hold the venue. We paid this deposit and a few weeks later arrived at what we would describe as a nightmare. There was a gecko skeleton, the grass was dead, the plants out the front were dead, the rustic look was real rust and deteriorated, the walls had stains, the ceiling was years overdue for a coat of paint, the floors were dirty, the outside area was not inviting and there were weeds taking over the dead grass. We mentioned this within two minutes of being there, to be told that it was a dry season and that this would be all fixed up. It was obvious that this was due to lack of maintenance and upkeep for a period of time and the promises felt empty. We argued that the advertisements were from the years previously and that this was false advertising. We asked for our deposit back and they refused. We went with a venue 9km away that has luscious green grass all year round. Response to your response. You have the wrong couple in mind, this might be a regular occurrence. No contract was signed and there was no refund of any of the deposit. If you had just returned our $500, this comment would not exist for thousands of people to see. You are probably losing more than just a petty $500 that you were not entitled to. Get up to speed with legislation around forfeiting deposits, you did not meet the needs based on your falsely advertised venue. Maybe compensation for the stress you caused us and wasting our time. I recall that when we questioned the luscious green grass on the phone, it was stated how beautiful the venue and green grass was and how perfect, etc... At that point, a courteous "hey just letting you know that we are having a dry season, all will be sorted by May" would have been nice.
