Good butter chicken and lamb saag, reasonable pricing. Bought takeaway so not sure what the ambiance is like, but it was ready quickly and tasted good
Grabbed some takeaway from Malabar - paneer makhani, lamb madras, rice and garlic naan. The portions were generous and the lamb was the stand out dish of the two. I ordered "medium" but it had quite the kick to it! The naan was very garlicky but it was more like a flatbread and a different texture to most naans I've had but I still enjoyed it.
Great food for the money.... Haven't been to many Indian restaurants in Perth but Malabar is the best of those so far visited. Highly recommended
This is probably as good as Indian food gets in Perth. Their food is just so much more tastier and much more value for money ! The onion bhaji is really awesome (I've been scarred by this dish many times before), palak paneer is perfect medium hot with so much cheese. Briyani is fantastic, 50% meat and the naans are huge portions. Definitely my go to place for Indian food.
First class Indian. Plenty of meat in the curries and decent naans. The lamb Rahra Gosht tasted amazing. Has now become our local curry house choice.
probably the best butter chicken ive had in perth. generous servings. i Loved the garlic naan too!!
we will back for these two things for sure! Havent dined inside yet as we ordered takeaway but will come in one day:) Thanks Malabar!
Great restaurant. Amazing food and great service! Best butter chicken I've ever had!
Would travel an hour for it
Could not fault anything about it A++++
Nice Little Indian Restaurant. A nice, casual Indian Restaurant with very attentive staff. We were using a Scoopon deal, which gave us a starter, a main, rice, naan and dessert for $15 a head.
Everything came out hot and fresh, with very generous servings. As a vegetarian, I had a whole page of food that I could choose from. I was a little disappointed with my dish, in that the vegetables and ricotta was chopped so small that it felt like it was swimming in sauce, but it was still quite tasty.
We had a little mishap with my food which I want to disclose, only because I want to emphasize how well the staff handled the situation. I found a hair in my curry (which happens sometimes! Not a big deal!) and I notified the staff immediately. Our waitress apologised and told me how long it would take to remake. They took it away and remade it, which came out promptly and hot.
We had so much food that they put it in takeaway containers to allow you to take it home.
I would like to go again so that I can try another dish. Least I have a lot of options! My meat-eater family members were very happy with their meals. We all walked away very full!
Really Good food! I recommend for everyone who wants a taste food, full of flavour.
Delicious. We visited this local restaurant with a voucher and we were looking forward to it after seeing the reviews.
We were not disappointed. The decor was nice but we were the only customers which was surprising. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We particularly enjoyed the lamb kebabs, the butter chicken and the naan bread. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants we have visited.
We will be returning to enjoy more dishes.
Great food and service, even with a voucher. Portions are huge while prices are normal, so really good value for money. Probably the best indian I've tried, wonderful rich curry, divine stuffed lamb kebabs, everything perfectly cooked. Dessert is average, but you probably won't need it anyway.
Best indian I've had in Perth and great friendly service. Owner operator which makes it even better. Highly recommend.
Good food. Great service.. We went on a Sunday night using a scoopon. Good food, good service and I would recommend you go if you like Indian food. There was 4 of us so we had 4 starters, 4 mains and 4 deserts. If we did not have the Scoopon I would suggest only having 4 starters and 2 mains or visa versa as it is quite filling. We had vegetable and meat samosas, vegetable pakoda and onion bhazi for starters and for mains we had butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, lamb korma and nav ratan korma. It also came with garlic naan bread, steamed rice and biryani rice. All very tasty but as I said very filling. Desserts were tasty as well and included chocolate sunday, chocolate brownie with icecream, mando almond kulfi and rasmalai. Staff are very friendly and make sure you are happy with everything. Note: if you can't finish your meal they are quite happy for you to take the rest home in a container.
Recommended. My husband and I used a Scoopon voucher on Friday night. We had an early booking at 6.30pm and expected to be lone diners. However, by 7.00pm five other couples had arrived and were seated and ordering. The restaurant is BYOB, so the waitress was prompt with a wine cooler and a beer glass for my husband. We shared a mixed entrée with four different choices (2 pieces each) - very happy with that dish. The mains we chose were Saag Chicken and Mixed Vegetable Curry - both lovely flavours and rice and two Naans. We were on our way to the City by 7.40pm. I can only say anyone who does not dine at this restaurant is missing a real treat. Well done to the wait staff and kitchen staff.
Best Indian food in Perth. Great food, big serves, fast service and friendly staff and very good value.

Best Indian in Perth! A real gem!!
Coming from the UK I have been eating Indian cuisine for 40 years. When we first arrived in Perth we found it difficult to find good Indian restaurants. Not any more. This is a favourite and we shall be regulars
Decided to try this Indian restaurant after reading good reviews - it did not disappoint. It was not busy the mid week night that we went but that did not mean that we were rushed out - we were left to sit and savour the dishes we ordered. Complimentary papadums and mint dip were placed on our table to enjoy. Deciding on two entrees and one main with accompaniments was a good decision - the serves are generous and we could have ordered one less entree and still walked out fully satisfied. The Fish Amritsari (marinated in red yoghurt batter) and Malai Kebab (6 x Cheese, onion and capsicum patties) were both different and delicious. For main we ordered the Lamb Korma - also delicious, a little spicier than normal but lovely flavours. The Butter Naan was recommended and we were pleased we ordered it. A real gem in suburbia - we will certainly revisit to try the other dishes.
The staff are lovely and the food was delicious. We had a lamb / tomato based curry and lamb biryani. The mango lassi was served with a smile:)
Second time around and it was even better. Tonight the weather was wild and cold and we needed something to warm us back up. The Malabar take away we got was just what we needed. Delicious.

We were not able to make our booking to eat in but did decide to get some take away tonight to try Malabar. It was excellent and their online ordering system is one of the best I have used. The food was delicious, well priced and ready on time.
Well done Malabar and we will return!
After going to other Indian restaurants in Perth I didn't have high expectations for this place. I was blown away by the food, appetisers could have been a little more rich but mains were absolutely amazing. By far the best Indian Restaurant I've been to in Australia, Naan is beautifully Naany, and the Chicken Tikka Masala and butter Chicken were mouth watering. Thank-you, I'll be back.
Fantastic curry! Had the lamb korma as I'm a fan of more mild curries however find many are bland.. Not this one! Definitely recommend giving it a go.
Takeaway - Malabar. Took a takeaway from here, was blown away by the service from the staff, and to add further the food was just fantastic and the breads are to die for, I recommend everyone to take a visit to malabar
Very good , best curry in perth. Beef madras + garlic naan ,
Fabulous! We were so impressed by the quality of food and generous portions that we rang the restaurant after to thank the chef for feeding us such a delicious meal. By far one of the best Indian curry houses in Perth.
Excellent. This place is excellent. Delicious food, generous serves and great service. Will be taking some friends next time.
Glad we dropped in on a whim. Fantastic service and yummy food. We even had leftovers for the next day. Really enjoyed the garlic naan and the korma. Will be back! :)
Definitely one of the better indian restaurants in Perth. Everything was exceptionally fresh tasting, the service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. We ordered the palak paneer (I think the best we've had!) and a very delicious potato and eggplant dish! Will definitely be back! Nom!
