Review Fof Rotary Hotpot - Abbotsford

Peter Nguyen
Really enjoyed this place years ago and would of gave it 5 stars. I came here Thursday night with a few friends and it was a ghost town. It was still early and the staff seem to take the longest time serving us 5. The belt had barely nothing and we had to ask them what we wanted. It was disappointing to be given small portions at a time to be shared between 2 even though it’s a all you can eat? The side dishes and desserts that are usually on the side were not even there and had to be manually ordered. We spent more time waiting then eating. It really just was disappointing coming here and ordering from what you recall because when I asked them for a list of their items and they did not even provide. They were really quick to kick us out and close up shop.
Mao Myheang
There was not much choice of food. Only 3 choice of veggie ( cabbage, bok choy, tung ho) 2 choices of noodle 8 choices of meat balls 4 seafood (fish, octopus, prawn, mussels ) 4 choices of meet (beef, pork, lamp, chicken) Not much choice of sauce 2 choice of desert (watermelon and jello) 3 flavours of ice cream (chocolate, vanilla , strawberry)
Minh Le (Mike)
Used to be great with many food options. Now there’s barely anything on the belt and the portion is tiny, there was 4 tables with guests at the time, still we had to ask the staff for more food several times because the belt didn’t get refilled. Unlike before, the extra meat options that we could order separately are no longer available, and the options of side dishes and dessert are very limited. Will not come back

Great all you can eat hot pot. You can choose between a bench seat with your own individual pot or a booth with a shared pot. They have a selection of broths to choose from and different sauces as well. You just choose what you want, including seafood, and keep on eating until you're full and it also includes dessert too. Great place place to eat if you're unsure what you're in the mood for.
Soo Jin Kim
The worst hotpot experience I ever had. The menu hasn't been updated and the owner doesn't care about the customer at all. The light bulb is blinking and the facilities are all broken. The meat was rock frozen and not edible, and the freshness of the seafood is suspected. The price is also high while selling such trashy food.
Natalie Ngo
I have been coming here for years and it has always been good. Fresh seafood, frozen beef, chicken, lamb, pork and beef tongue are readily available. Appetizers and dessert options have improved since last year. Overall a very positive experience.
Wally Chiang
First time here at this all you can eat hotpot place. Individual pot and dishes rotating in front of you which I thought was brilliant. You pick from 1 of 5 soup base, then eat as much as you want. Because it’s self serve it’s hard to have any wastage. They even have dessert. The only thing is they don’t have alcohol, but it’s only a $2 cockage per head so good value.
Mr T
Buffet, hot pot and sushi train, all fantastic dining experiences on their own, but combined is on another level. 5 broths to chose from, freezer full of thinly cut meats(beef, lamb and pork) various seafood and sushi train with a variety of goodies to cook in your hot pot. There's also some fried hot food which was not bad, but the hotpot is the reason why you're here, there's also a multitude of condiments to fine tune your meal. Service was friendly, definetly worth a visit.

One of our regular winter spots. Seems to be under new management, but the restaurant remains the same. Really liking that the meat for your hot pot is now in a freezer rather than on the train
Lisa
Love the concept, friendly staff, look forward to going back again this weekend
Dr Lin
Great hotpot place located in central richmond. The idea of this self serve hotpot have been popular lately. You get a soup base each and you pick your soupvase and ingredients. All the ingredients were very fresh and staff were very friendly as well.
Tommylicious
Went with a group of friends. Good selection and food. Had a seat where the steam from the other pots would reach me. Made me a bit loopy breathing in that Tom yum oxygen. It made for a good night. 10/10
Melbourne Food Finds
Definitely well worth the money with great choices of variety and seafood options available! The food itself is great and the Tom yum soup is my go to ✅✅<br/><br/>The price is abit on the higher side but decent for an all you can eat. Not sure if I ate my moneys worth though 😓. Not time rushed either like some other places!! <br/><br/>The train is a great concept and there is a nice ambience to the place.

This place could not have changed more for the worse. Their hiatus has seen the quality of food dramatically decline. Their quest for ‘customer convenience’ and perhaps streamlining their service means meat is now sitting in the freezer and a dip in the quality of flavour. Just go back to the way it was...if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Quynh Le
Service was good. Good variety of food circulating on the rotary belt. Overall food items were fresh. Tom Yum is definitely the go-to soup base, it was not too spicy for those who want to try something different than tomato soup base. A great dessert bar options, which were included in the buffet price.
Sunny Days Melbourne
After a short hiatus, FOF Rotary Hotpot is back and it's better than ever. There have been a small number of cosmetic changes including 3 extra soup flavours to choose from (chicken mushroom, Szechuan pepper and shabu shabu joining the pre-existing tom yum and miso soups) and the meats are now in a freezer, ready for you to pick up rather than having to order them separately. <br/><br/>My usual is the tom yum soup and tonight's version did not disappoint. The range of sauces, dips and condiments was mind blowing. I love mixing it up - minced garlic, satay sauce and sesame paste. The possible combinations were overwhelming. <br/><br/>The hot food consisted of fried noodles, spring rolls, takoyaki and potato croquets. All were serviceable. There was also seafood and the already mentioned thin slices of various meats. Plus ice cream if you still have space after the feast. <br/><br/>This is a really lovely place for dinner on those cold wintry nights.

Great and cheap all you can eat hot pot train. Friendly service and fun dining experience. <br/>They have a large sauce selection (sesame paste with sesame oil and spring onions is one of the best combos), a self service freezer chest of beef, lamb, chicken and ox tongue. There is also seafood bay with shrimp, mussel, squid and fish. I highly recommend the tom yum soup base with extra tom yum for a yummy hot pot. To top it off, unlimited takoyaki, croquettes, stir fried noodles, ice cream and coconut desserts.<br/>We're always leaving here full, maybe a little be too full and happy!
Christine Le
Been here a couple of times. Good to satisfy your craving once in a while. The food comes around on a conveyor belt and goes around to everyone like a ‘train’. Very fun and creative! Great for eating with family and friends. There are plenty seafood options as well as sauces which you can mix to your liking. To top it all off come free ice-cream! (Vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavoured)
Some Bunee Loves Food
I love this hot pot place. Cute sushi train style of hot pot ingredients. I love how they have individual pots and their tom yum soup is flavorful and nice. The selection for the cooked food wasn't much though.
Michreviews
3.5/5<br/>Not bad for the variety and fresh seafood section. Had the nutrition pot and my partner has the miso pot. Not too much flavour in soup until you add some seafood in there. Something worth noting was that they top up your soup with the soup that you ordered rather than just a basic soup base or water. Ready food wise, the fried croquettes, dessert sago and ice cream were great. Would consider to pop by again.

Average hotspot train, the was limited range of variety, could really work on this to improve. The pricing was fair and similar to other hotpot trains. The ice cream was actually very nice with the company they use.

Just found out about this place randomly while hungry. Average service but better food! Good value for money for what you get though. <br/>Will be back!

Good variety of food that you can pick from. Service is also good! They didn't mind that we kept ordering the ox tongue and gave us a lot of attention.
Mylinh
great service and great food. there's a wide range of things to choose from on the train. they also have got takoyaki, sushi and seafood on the side. to top it off, you can walk out with a cup of ice cream to end the night. recommended!
Lizzie Eats Melbourne
😱Lizzie’s first impression: This is the first hotpot train I have seen in Melbourne which came about a few years ago - you just pick what you want to put in your hotpot from the moving belt. It is all you can eat and it just doesn’t get much better than that. <br/><br/>🍩Lizzie enjoyed: I love the concept of hotpot train and it’s so satisfying seeing the little dishes in front of you. The produce is fresh and all very yummy. I even love how they have some side dishes like takoyaki balls and croquettes. They also have ice cream! The price per person is very affordable for all you can eat! <br/><br/>🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: a few years back they had ice cream with many different flavours including durian and honeydew but they’ve opted for the mainstream neopolitan flavours unfortunately. <br/><br/>🥇Lizzie rates overall: a great place for hotpot and the staff are super friendly. They even have BYO which is a bonus!
Erin Bennett
Absolutely love this place. The staff are friendly and the service is quick! More vegetarian options would be nice, maybe a picture menu for beginners too.
Tran
The service is usually good when i go. Quite attentive and friendly.<br/>Sometimes good, sometimes not. Idk, hit and miss i guess.<br/>Variety is okay, could be better. But, i quite enjoy their tom yum soup base as it is usually more flavoursome than other hotpot places i've been to.
Vivian
Love a good hot pot and rotary is just that . Unique in the way it’s all you can eat via a hot pot train where the ingredients rotate on a conveyance belt . Could have more variety of ingredients but the soups were so tasty . I will come back
Linda
Was excited to try this place! Unfortunately it wasn't great but it wasn't bad. Been to better hot pot places. Food was very average, the meat and seafood didn't feel very fresh.
Trang Pham
The restaurant was crowded and the staff are nice and helpful. The way they run it was not organized but I can see they try their best. However, the quality of the food was not so good. First, i left half of my bok choy because it was yellow and old. Secondly, I think that my wonton has problem (sour). The beef and ox tongue was good. Well cheap and reasonable
LeixD
Came here on a weeknight for around $33.80 per person, I think its more expensive on the weekends. The restaurant had a weird vibe, maybe because of the bright orange walls and dim-ish lighting ahah. I had the mushroom stock whilst bf had the spicy. Even though it was full of chillies, it actually wasn't that spicy at all. There was a big variety of ingredients on the train and there were some meats where you could only order from the waiters. Portions were small but its all you can it so cant complain. I like how theres also a seafood section as well as a bit of fried food and dessert. They even had taro coconut milk! Overall it was a great experience, would recommend.
Grace Liu
I like how they give out small portion of food for people to put in their little hot pot!<br/>Food is not too bad, i like the ox tongue!<br/>One thing that's not so good was the saucing. Wish they have more choices and refill the sauce more often.. <br/>Overall is alright.
Flying Forward
Points for: individual hotpot, rotary train, all you can eat<br/>Dine Time: Sunday dinner <br/>Tip: wear stretchy pants and a baggy shirt<br/><br/>$35 for all you can eat including seafood, ice cream and light drinks, you can hardly go wrong.<br/>Choices of broth include nutrition (clear, clean chicken stock), tom yum, spicy (probably a 2/5 spicy), and miso. I think nutrition is best because as you add the meat and veggies, the broth becomes concentrated and flavoured.<br/><br/>I really like the strips of lamb and thin ox tongue - a quick dunk in the broth and it's cooked, then into the sauce you've concocted over at the sauce table. Cabbage and chrysanthemum leaves give you a bit of a fresh break, and then you can finish off with one of the noodles. <br/><br/>Save your time on the baby octopus - by the time you cook it, it becomes extremely tough and rubbery, and there's no knife to cut it any smaller.<br/><br/>The quality of everything is a bit average, but it's the sum of it all and the experience that makes it a worthwhile visit.
Avolette
Cool concept and way too easy to eat too much seeing as this is a buffet style hot pot! Good variety of different meats, veggies and other hot pot favourites, and even other dishes (eg: sushi) for those who want something different to supplement their hot pot! Great for a winter feed!
Foodie By Choice
Food good & yummy. Service very good, friendly. But pays to book ahead on certain days. Especially close to chinese new years. Relaxed atmosphere. Have been here about 5 times. Not always easy to find close parking.
Split The Bill
For about $35 all you can eat we were recommended this great secret hideaway.<br/>Essentially you have your own personal hot pot and order a base soup.<br/>As the little train passes by simply select what you want and drop it onto your personal hotpot.<br/>There were a variety of meat balls, fish balls, noodles, seafood and chicken / pork  & beef slices also.<br/>Great concept except we were kind of seated towards the end of the train and noticed that there was a lack of variety in front of us (ie - lack of green vegies and sweet potato noodles).<br/>The highlight was the all you can eat gelati I had two serves lol.<br/>It was a very busy night but all the staff were amazing and efficient.<br/>Make sure you book as there are two dining sessions and there is limited seating available.<br/>
Miss_ZXC
It's a good place for hotpot buffet. 33.8/p in weekend. The place was full of people when we came here and we waited about 15mins. The place has the limited eating time 1h45min.<br/>They have prawn, fish, octopus but it is not fresh, especially the prawn . I think that is why no many people have the prawn.<br/>The other meat and veggies are now very fresh either.<br/>But, in this price is good
Tania
Service was excellent and I've never met staff so friendly or attentive. <br/>Place is a lot better since the first time I tried it, may have been a change in management. <br/>Perfect for cold melbourne weather!
Mrs Mark
All you can eat hot pot and all you can eat ice cream for $34. What more can you want in a restaurant? There is such a high turn over that the food is extremely fresh and there is a huge variety - beef, chicken, lamb, tofu, veggies etc. We had the Tom yum and medicinal soup bases which were both tasty. Definitely book if you want to try this place out
Vanessa Tran
Affordable all you can eat hotpot, under $35 per person they used to have sushi as their included hot food w fried rice, now they have prawns and mussels with calamari for your hotpot and adding icecream for dessert to be apart of the buffet. Still my go to place when I want something quick, cheap and warming when it's on a cold night! Sushi train has the condiments for hotpot, theres beef, lamb, pork and theres bok choy, water spinach, varieties of soup bases to choose from!<br/><br/>During winter and autumn this is my favourite place to go to!
Anh Huynh
Did not regret giving this restaurant a shot tonight. I picked the tom yum soup and it turned out to be super tasty. My favorite item gotta be the cheesy fish cake/ balls or whatever they're called. $32 for an all-you-can-eat hot pot night is unbeatable. Would definitely come back. Unlimited ice cream was also a huge bonus point
Sue Wong
This is my favourite hot pot restaurant hands down! My partner hates seafood so having individual hot pots works well for us. Service is excellent and the soup stocks are very flavoursome.
Lin
My casual hotpot place. Love their tomyum soup ever. They have all items I love for hotpot: ox tongue, cheesy ball, fish ball with fillings.... good to have ice cream after doing hotpot
Tim
My favourite hotpot restaurant in Melbourne. I come here at least once week. <br/>The soup is very tasty. Food is fresh. The only thing to complain is it's always crowded. Quite hard to book for big group on Saturday night.
Jennifer
Would definitely return to this restaurant, it's so affordable and worth the taste !! Honestly, there's nothing bad to say about this place but it was bum because they didn't notify me, they had free sushi ;((
Emily Nakamura
Also had the same experience as some customers have already expressed, the food wasn't very fresh, as the meat were beginning to turn brown around the edges, there was no dessert, my hot pot stove had a broken button. My partner and I waited in line, as well as another customer behind me, but a family who came after us was seated first, they didn't even reserve (they just went straight in and got served). Honestly, would give a 0 if I could.
Justjob1991
The most important of hotpot is soup but im sorry to say that the soup here is too bland, nothing special, i fell they just added water and colors. I hope the next time will better (if have next time)
Leyna Thaiyang
Would not recommend. Would not return. Would not dine there again even if somebody pays me to. <br/>Soup taste worst than instant noodles soup sachets.
Sam Could
Good service, friendly staff. Food is nice, lots of variety to choose from. Unlimited seafood. Free ice cream ( three different flavour), loved it.
Trang
Came here for dinner on a cold Melbourne day and it was honestly amazing! For the price point, the food was good and left us in a food coma! Loved how they had the self serve entree available for us while they were getting the soup ready and the variety of food they had to offer! However I wish they had lamb on the train because we prefer lamb over beef and felt so bad that we kept having to order more lamb! Other than that, everything was good and would come back!<br/><br/>Would definitely recommend the Tom Yum soup!
Eileen
I'm quite upset and disappointing with the food. It doesn't have a lot of choice and the food is not quite fresh. They also ended up with only strawberry ice-cream for dessert. I have requested to ask for chocolate and vanilla flavour. But the waiter told me that they have running out. How could this happen? We spent $33 per person and ended up with only one kind of flavour? Or just because you going to close your shop so you don't want to take any ice cream out? Wouldn't visit again as I think it is not worth at all.
Sara Mao Chhooy
Very upset with the quality of this place. I've been here a few times before and it used to be really good. Recently I visited with a few girlfriends for a Wednesday night dinner. Food wasn't very fresh, the same old meats were rotating the belt for a while. We stayed up until they started to pack up and I spotted two cockroaches run around. Makes me question the hygiene of this place. I notice the workers packing the unused food from the belt into containers (secretly hoping they don't reuse it for the following day) but that would explain the old looking meat I had seen. Probably would be returning to this place.

Awesome place for a beginner “hotpoter”, yes I made that word up😅. If you haven’t been Hot Potting before this is a good place to start, common ingredients and easy to manage👌. <br/><br/>I liked the fact that we weren’t bothered, we just did our own thing and just relaxed. Great place for a few friends to gather🙌. Why I say few, thats because you may get caught sitting apart from each other and end up having to scream at each other from both sides of the conveyor belt. All in all though, a warm warm experience😊. Food was quite good but we prefer our homemade hotpot to be quite honest 😏<br/><br/><br/>P.S the ice cream at the end was amaze! although it may be just some bulk buy ice creams.😂
I S2 Food
All you can eat hot pot for about $25 pp is worth it. We like the concept of the train with all the ingredients rotated. The soup stock Is nice. Our fav is the tom yum and natural. They also have sushi and some hot food options which is part of the buffet. Good value but could have a few more ingredients to offer.
Annie Leung
Very friendly staff. Love the beef, ox tongue and veggies. One minor criticism is the nutrition soup base is very salty. But overall we enjoyed our meal and the experience

I was there for my fifth times some days ago and mostly satisfied. Lovely but small place, you should have bookings in the winter.  Affordable price, good range and quality of food, very nice customer service. <br/>The choices of soup base is not various (4 types) but most of them are fantastic. their soup base is the best in hotpot restaurants and even much better than in their new restaurant in Southbank.
Hanh Hong Le
This is the second time I've been here and I feel like it needs to be reviewd. I always love the idea of hot pot and whats even better is i dont need to share it! For the price you pay I'd say anyone would be very happy with the abundant of vegetables and seafood that you get. One thing i would critict would be more meat!! Overall always a good time here, the staff are alway accomidating and super polite!
MF
Ordinary hot pot with lots of option on the sauces but not on the meat, veg n carbo. The flavour of the broth was okay, i chose the herbal, which doesnt taste like herbal at all. We went there for lunch as it was just so cheapo on the option of the food, the place itself was a bit cramp and no privacy at all. I would rather go for golden leaf in dockland next time as they have much more option of the meat and seafood with simillar price. And also the restaurant itself was much nicer.
Thesun_mtd
Have been there more than 10 times. Good choice for hotpot lovers. Price is reasonable and affordable. They got everything for hotpot. I think some people expected more than what they pay. I heard a guy ask the waitress if they offer oysters? Unbelievable!!! <br/>I have been in many hotpot restaurants in the CDB, had to pay around $38-$40/ person to get the same or even less choices than in FOF.
VS2
Great concept, afford price. Offer wide range of food. Friendly customer service. Just a reminder if you want something but can not find on the belt, you can order with the staff. Have been their 5 times both weekdays and weekends, they are always busy. Be sure to book before you come.
Vivian
Affordable hotpot for meat lovers. Love their tomyum soup base. Didn't expect good sushi in a hotpot restaurant. It's definitely my casual hotpot place.
M. T.
The novelty of this place itself is very exciting. You get your own Hot Pot and can throw in anything you like. The Japanese food selection isn't very authentic and I wouldn't recommend it if you like Japanese food but the Hot Pot broth is flavoursome and selection of dishes to add to it is decent. In saying that, the standard of dishes in rotation aren't particularly world class fine dining selections. Service is very friendly, always making sure you have enough to eat.

Second time at FOF Rotary Hotpot and it did not disappoint. For $33.80 on a Saturday evening session, it was well worth it. I went with tom yum (prawn based) soup and it was delish! We were constantly being asked if there was anything we wanted or need which i highly appreciated. We were seated the moment we walked in. Customer service was 110% and very attentive. Cant wait for the one in City Road to open!! Im sure it'll be a hit aswell.
Big Eyes For A Big Tummy
Great concept and good value. Food train means less wastage if you pick and eat as you need! Read some previous reviews and found it strange about comments re: too much soup and not much flavour and other comments proving many don't really know how hot pot works!! Supposed to start with lots of soup as it dehydrates and intensifies in flavour as you cook! The dehydrated leftover soup usually isn't meant to be drunk in the end because of the intensity of the flavour and if anything, will make you thirsty and give you a "heated" throat (as the Chinese say...). We found it terribly amusing observing the opposite couple grabbing 8-10 plates each from the beginning and stuffing totally everything in the pot with noodles in one go when the soup was barely boiling (spilling of course) - they were obviously wanting to make something to the likes of a tomyum noodle soup! There are all the basic ingredients available for the hot pot, not a huge variety but certainly enough to be worth an all-you-can-eat value especially for only the two of us who wouldn't be bothered to prepare all the ingredients to have hot pot at home for just the two of us. We both had the herbal chicken broth which although had MSG, we thought it was just what we needed. My partner and I both agreed the wontons were the best with the silky skin, freshly made as you order, not of the defrosted type. Very happy they had chicken gizzards, unhappy they ran out of chicken hearts. I think there needs to be labelling of some sort on the plastic coverings of the ingredients to differentiate what's what...as surely there'd be confusion for those who don't eat a lot of Asian food. Or even have a how-to-eat-hotpot instruction with the laminated menu so all those hot pot virgins understand the concept and accept how it is traditionally done! I thought the service was fantastic - all the girls we spoke to and asked for assistance when needed were friendly, full of smiles and efficient. We didn't come with a booking but happily returned in half an hour and seated straight away after a drink at the pub down the road. Wouldn't come here on a hot summer's night but certainly would whenever we crave for hot pot!
Mk Lim
I dined at this restaurant quite a few times. Quite a good place for hot pot with various dipping sauces they offer. Definitely good value. BUT please be careful with your handbags, wallets as I nearly got my wallet stolen at this place not long ago.
KLLYXNG
For around $28pp for all you can eat hotpot, this isn't such a bad spot. I have been here multiple times and it's essential that you make a booking if you are eating at peak times (especially at night). I know that on weekends they have a price special (maybe $25pp or so but please double check).<br/>Soup wise, I highly recommend the tom yum, it's neither super spicy nor bland. Other flavours are quite so so. In terms of variety of hot pot dishes, there are a number of interesting ones! The sago pudding dessert is also highly recommended (have it cold of course). The takoyaki balls weren't too bad, neither was the sushi, but you can tell it isn't "japanese" sushi.<br/>One thing that has been consistent in all my visits, I do get a little discouraged by lack of variety after an hour or two of dining there. Noodles, vegetables and fish balls do fill you up well, and staff do come around asking if customers would like multiple rounds of meats, egg and other order-only dishes. <br/>Wait time if you don't have a booking can range from around 20 minutes to 40 minutes.
SueyLuey
First time to the restaurant - great concept where there are individual hotpot where the foods are on a rotary for you to choose - all you can eat of course.<br/><br/>Service was ok. Very busy even on a tues night. Located at the end or vic street near church st.<br/><br/>4 types of broth. Way too much broth for one person. I got the tom yum and it was ok. Flavours not intense as i expected. Perhaps they should work on the broth and provide less of it? Imaging the wastage!! Variety of meatballs, salad, noodle, meats and seafood. <br/><br/>Perhaps they should introduce a special variety at each intervals i.e 30min? As it did get repetitive. <br/><br/>Sushi available as entree which was ok - bit dry as it was prob done earlier in the day and left in the fridge. Not enough variety in dessert - in fact theres only. Bowl of sago coconut dessert. Sad looking fried rice located in the bain-marie. Sorta weird that we went from Japanese sushi to Chinese hotpot to thai dessert? <br/><br/>Overall an ok experience.

Okay food, can't complain but nothing special either. Best thing about this place is you get to eat a hot pot with a variety of ingredients without all the hardwork of preping food and cleaning dishes after. Besides that, food was really just okay and service was average as well. If you are willing to cool and clean a bit, you can pretty much recreate the whole thing at home with just a fraction of the price here.

We celebrated my brother in law's seventeenth birthday not that long ago, and for something different Akki suggested we try a place in Abbotsford that I hadn't heard of before but boy am I glad I have now!. FOF (Full Of Food) Rotary Hotpot is like a combination of a shabushabu restaurant and a sushi train. Each place setting has a hot plate where you warm your personal soup (you can choose from four), and then you choose the meat, veggies, noodles and other yummies from the 'train' and cook to your heart's content.

Great service, great food. They are really busy during weekends but they handled their customers super well. Sushi and hotpot items are diverse and varied, ensuring that the experience won't become tired after a few eats.

Tasty soup broth, fresh ingredients, good customer service. Nothing to ask more for a buffet $30/ person. My family goes there at least once a week
Van H
Best hotpot buffet I have ever had with a reasonable price. Read other reviews, people complain this restaurant charge for their soup base. However, I have been in most of popular buffet restaurant around the city and I have always paid my soup bowl which cost $10-$16 even we only 2 people ( of-course for unnecessary big pots). In my opinion, with the price around $31.5/ person they offer a decent menu of meats, quality seafood and vegetables, balls and noodle, sauces. My most favorite soup is tomyum and their homemade creamy sesame. Their sushi and sweet was not bad too. My husband likes their fried food: takoyaki and potato cake.

I'm sorry but I just do not like this place at all. From the service straight down to the food options and sauce choices it just hits me with major disappointment and regret.<br/><br/>The positives would be that it's a novel thought, sushi-train style with hotpot ingredients with also the options of grabbing sushi dishes and that you get your own pot to yourself.<br/><br/>The negative points that really strike me would be that the ingredients just don't seem to be fresh, the sushi is definately not fresh and that there is a lack of diversity in the types of things you can add to your hotpot.<br/><br/>BONUS Story: The workers are very diligent in cleaning, so you can guarantee that everything is wiped down properly. I witnessed this first hand as the spot next to me freed up and the worker got to her job and started wiping and spraying detergent all over the place. I was lucky enough to even see the dispersion of detergent and liquid molecules gracefully be blown and fall into my own hotpot. At which point I asked the worker if she could just spray directly into my pot so I can atleast taste the detergent.

They set a price of $28.8 and charge you extra for the soup. I've been to this establishment multiple times in the past and there were never any hidden costs. They brought out a sheet to order the soup base and it stated that kimchi was $2.50 more. I dined with three other people and got 4 Tom yum soup bases in total. After our meal I paid and was not told the price. I got the receipt and was surprised that they charged us $2 each per soup base. How are you going to charge your customers a set price for a meal and not have the soup included. Am I paying $28.8 for Raw meat and seafood, frozen fish balls and ect? It's ridiculous that you would not tell us beforehand and even charge us for the matter. <br/><br/>I referred this place to a friend and she was charged $2.50 per Tom yum soup when she went a week ago. <br/><br/>
Hungry Hieu
You can choose your kind of soup. Personal favorite is Tom yum soup. There are a lot of variety to eat, they also have some sushi on the side to choose and some Asian dessert. Food is okay and filling however they increase their price. Haha.
Victor Huynh
Came here with a couple of mates, food was was okay. Definitely worth the money as it wasn't too pricey considering it was an "all you can eat". <br/><br/>Would highly recommend if you're on a budget and want something good and filling. <br/><br/>Only downside is that this place is always busy, I would suggest you make a booking prior to going there.

You can choose a range from Tom Yom, Miso, Chilli soup and Nutritious soup. I had tom yum, which suited to my taste. It's good to go in a group, I'd hate to waste food. I'd question their sanitation. Otherwise, good value for an all-you-can-eat restaurant.
Melbourne Culinary
FOF Rotary Hotpot is well known as a hotpot restaurant in the Abbotsford area and has gained immense popularity over the years as the first and only hotpot train in Melbourne. Located by the Abbotsford side of Victoria street, FOF Rotary Hotpot not only serves its unique variant of hotpot but also has sushi and other fried foods.

FOF - Full of fun! It was a fun experience with the all you can eat hotpot, with many vegetables and other hotpot ingredients. Going lunchtime though not all the meats were served and having to order each dish of meat was a little bit of hassle when the staff weren't always around. There is a dessert station with Asian desserts and a sauce table which could probably do with an upgrade and new saucing system that looks a bit more hygienic! But overall, good and really filling eat! Must try at least once!

A good place to go for a bit of novelty - the concept of cheap, all you can eat hot pot is pretty exciting. Otherwise the quality is quite borderline and this place wouldnt be my first choice for hot pot. A plus to this venue is that its somewhat well catered to vegetarians, suprisingly. Worth giving this place a try, and even if you dont like it, its not expensive and its a fun experience.
DaGalWhoLovesFood
Had dinner in this place tonight and it was an interesting experience. There werent many fancy ingredients but they do have pretty much all the normal stuff one would cook in a hotpot. Around 32 dollars for all you can eat hotpot and the soup base, its really not too bad. And there were fried rice and sushis/croquette available as well. I probably wont come back in a hurry, but i will definitely be back on a cold winter night for another hotpot session!<br/>

Today i came down to this place, great customer service (offered 50% off for one seat as we wanted 5 but they would have had separated us, but we declined the offer ad they were happy enough to get us a 5 seater). Quick service with amazing all you can eat food. Highly recommend
Josephine
If you want to pig out & crave hot pot, this is the place to go. For $31 per person, with your choice of hot pot soups, you can eat as much food as you want! The food is fresh and there's a lot of different variety. My favourite soup base is the tom yum & I literally binge on the basa fish and ox tongue. Absolute faves<br/><br/>P.s. you must have a herbal tea to help wash it all down.
TM
All-you-can-eat hotpot for $28 wasn't too bad. I got the Miso flavoured broth/soup; not a lot of flavour, and selection for food. Would love to try the spicy one next time. The service was excellent though, very friendly. Most important thing: I recommend calling the place to book in advanced! Overall, I think the whole experience was what brought my rating a bit higher.
Convivialsins
For $28 ... it was ok. similar to the old shabu shabu on Lonsdale St in the city which is now longer there. the soup base is high in msg. the "nutrition soup" aka herbal was / became not drinkable near the end. hmmm I'd rather pay $10 more and have all u can eat jap at isshin! Prawns weren't fresh. Everything else was ok
Darren Ellis
It is ok. For a first time person, staff just assume you know how the system work, etc. There is very little other than soup. The soup is tasty and is created to your tastes depending on what you add to it through the course of eating. Don't think I would go back.<br/>At the end of the night it was very expensive for just soup.
Jenny
Nice Asian all you can eat hot pot only one so far in Melbourne! You got a vary of soup base like Tom-yum to miso soup. Just works like a sushi train and special orders can be made
Narzi-Goreng
Huge fan of this place! Quality of food is average, staff are lovely... But I love the option of shared/individual hot pots. It accommodates for small/large groups... And it's all you can eat! A place you need to visit! Highly recommend!
Aprail Siblagan
Great place to pig out and loose track of how much you're eatting! Good amount of foods to select from, comes in small portions so you can try other foods on the train. But would warn anyone not to go on a hot day or night, as it gets pretty hot inside with them hot pots boiling.
Votaso
Food: 2<br/>Price: 4<br/>Service: 4<br/>There's nothing special about this place except for its hotpot concept. Thawed food on plate and very limited selection of ingredients. Stale meat and seafood. All I could eat was just vegetables, mushrooms , tofu and noodle. Wont be back again.
Dych.1994
Really not recommend for people who want to gather with friends. It might spoilt your day and really made you down. The service is extremely poor and not hygiene at all. I doubt if those chopsticks were from museum.

$28.80 ALL U CAN EAT rotary hotpot. Average hotpot. Different selections. Really cute concept ! Plus there are different types of soups! !!!

FOF Rotary Hotpot provides an interesting hotpot train experience that is great for those you are new to the hotpot concept. The restaurant gives you the flexibility to try as many different things you can possibly have in a hot pot from chicken hearts, baby octopuses, prawns, fish, beef balls and tripe to your more safer options such as tofu, noodles and Asian leafy greens. <br/><br/>There are four different stocks to choose from such as miso soup, nutrition soup, tom yum and spicy Schezuan to flavour your broth and a variety of sauces and condiments to choose from. <br/><br/>Apart from hot pot, there is also sushi, croquettes, takoyaki balls and fried rice just to spice things up a bit. <br/><br/>Overall, I enjoyed the all you can eat hotpot experience mainly because variety of hotpot items you can add into your broth and freedom to eat until you are satisfied, full or overly stuffed. <br/><br/>Future diners be aware that there is a 2 hour session limit, which although makes sense, wasn't made obvious to us in the beginning. For hotpot fans out there, this is a place I would recommend you check out at least once.

It's hard to find a good hotpot place in melbourne sadly.  Until one night, my friends and I decided to come here.<br/><br/>Price + Service + Unlimited for such an affordable price. What else can you ask for?<br/><br/>Very attentive staff! I love the conveyor belt and it's just what I wanted from a hotpot place.
HungryPanda
The best favorite place to be when my partner & I are craving some hot pot<br/><br/>Especially on a cold chilly day ! All day every day !<br/>You can also order some stuff off the menu which is given to you from the start if you cant find what your looking for on the conveyor belt. 4 soup base to choose from Miso, tom yum, nutrition or spicy. Variety of condiments <br/>Its mouth watering & delicious also with other nibbles that they also have (spring rolls, fried rice, sushi & ect) <br/>The experience is amazing every time, consistent, enjoyable and cosy <br/>Its even better than all the places that I've been to for hotpot not only that the price is reasonably decent & cheap $28.80 pp <br/>Staff are friendly and attentive<br/>Service is excellent <br/>LOOVEE IT !!!!!
Barbie
I've been here a few times now, and the variety of food has always been great (when you take into account the cheap price). It's nice that they also offer hot food, sushi and dessert because sometimes you're too hungry to wait for food to cook.... <br/>I have never had a bad experience here, but am so sad that they no longer include the icy pole in the price anymore!!!
Meng Ngo
Been here a few times. <br/>Hotpot Self serve awesome !<br/>Hate the ordering 1 <br/>Love the Soups<br/>Also there's sushi all you can't eat n etc <br/>Service : friendly n nice .<br/>Will be back! <br/>Best in ViC

Went in this little restaurant last night with 2 friends! I actually had a great experience! Good the idea of cooking your own food, there was not a huge variety of it, but it was enough to leave completely satisfied! Staff absolutely friendly.. i will be back for sure

Sushi train meets hot pkt. Finally went to this place last night and it was worth it. I'm pretty amateur when it comes to hotpot but definitely loved this place. It has four different soups plus unlimited sushi, takoyoki and potato croquette buffet. They have like 12 different sauces you can pick from and of course the main event the hotpot ingredients that go around on a train infront of you with most of the common hot pot items plus more u Can order off the menu.. . Friendly service and only $28.50. Defs worth it :)
Winnie
This is not how you do business, Rotatry hotpot.<br/>We walked in one Friday night without anyone taking care of us. There was no "Please wait to be seated" sign so we helped ourselves to settle into an empty table at the time. We asked for service and when a waitress was taking the order from us, a manager came by, asked us if we have a booking. We said no and so we got kicked out immediately because apparently the restaurant is fully booked for the night. <br/>But the thing is, we were half way through our order, and we have already sat down.<br/>The situation could have been more professional if you put all of your customers first, not only the ones with booking.<br/>The experience was embarrassing, awkward and uncomfortable.<br/>Oh by the way, the shop smells like stinky tofu, so if you're planning to go, be prepared to smell like one at the end of the night.<br/>This was my first and last time there.<br/>Never again.

Not worth the money.... I know hot pot trains quite well and know what makes a good one and this one isn't. Not is it just plain way too expensive, the management is really poor...we got moved around 3 times just because the staff couldn't get their seating right...the food is quite average in taste, looks, choice... I can't recommend this hot pot at all, if you wanna spend that kind of money try some of the hot pot places in the city in chinatown. They are worth spending your money on.

Sorry I meant COLD WATER <br/>For my last post<br/><br/><br/>-----26 Mar, 2015-----<br/><br/>LOVE but can improve.... The best and authentic (closest to my mums) Tom yum broth there is! For an all you can eat the food gets very repertive can't believe there's no prawns for an "all you can eat" I pay similar amount at docklands Gold Leaf BBQ to eat all you can eat Hot Pot and they have the lot (with no extra charges) Prawns, Mussels, Oysters, Abalone! There's never cold drinks and the sushi area looks unhygienic over all friendly staff but this place could still improve :)
Vinpor
Great food & very friendly service. What a great experience! Awesome food, awesome variety, and very friendly staff. And all for only $28.80 per head!! You cant beat that? Will definitely be coming back!

Awesome.. Overall the best. Brilliant service & nice hot pot. Have a nice dinner here. Will come back again.~_~

It was ok. Not worth the $29 each. However the sushi wasn't bad.
Cerise
Nice concept. Like the concept of personalized hot pot. They even allow you to try different soup bases without extra charge.
Vanessa Tran
Cheap eat for only $28.80 per person! Variety of condiments to choose for hotpot, i didnt like the hot fried food, they were abit sickening but other than thay, the hot pot with the train along with it was a great experience :)

AWESOME! BEST HOTPOT!. Went there last night with my girlfriend and it was AWESOME!!!!!<br/>Best Hotpot restaurant I've been too! It's fun and a large variety of food!<br/>Staff are EXTREMELY friendly. Can't wait to go back!
Bluewind.bnl
Amazing. Have never tried this kind of hot pot before, the soup is amazing, especially tomyum, i love it so much.... Hot foods are good as well...and a lot of raw materials to put into the soup... It is money for value and cheap for a good dinner! My friends appreciate it as well

I bought a voucher off scoopon and I couldn't even make a booking !!<br/>The restaurant kept ignoring my emails and now the voucher has expired and I can't even get my money back. Terrible.

Good food, good service and nice atmosphere. Would definitely come back

Food is not fresh, No vari.... Food is not fresh, <br/>No variety,<br/>Service is horrible,<br/>All the waitresses cannot speak English.<br/>Everything we order is not available.

Fantastic Food, Fantastic Service! Highly Recommended!. Great concept! We have visited FOF Rotary Hotpot several times since its opening and we have never been disappointing. Being all you can eat, there is a wide selection of fresh delicious food, 4 soup bases to choose from and a hot food buffet. Well worth the price in our opinion! The service was prompt, polite, courteous and very accommodating! We'll be making FOF Rotary Hotpot one of our favorite places to go for hotpot on a cold winters night in Melbourne.<br/><br/>Highly recommended!
Chris
Nothing fault here. Highly recommend!!
Munch On Melbourne
Delicious on a rainy day!. I finally used my Scoopon voucher with my 2 children today and was glad it happened to be a cold and rainy day, hot pot is much more appreciated when weather is lousy.<br/>I have never been to a rotary hot pot before and was pleasantly surprised how much better it is than your regular self serve hot pot in terms of portion sizes and less food wastage and the fact you dont have to get out of your seat other than to help yourself to the sufficient selection of hot food (hot sushi, yakitori, okonomiyaki & tempura vegetables) and cold selection of assorted sushi. <br/>Staff and service were fantastic, we were quite early but a lovely staff member beckoned us in as not to get drenched out in the rain and let us choose where to sit, as I had my 2 young boys with me the booths were perfect as they were more of a communal sharing type hotpot as opposed to the more individual serves on the stool seating and I got to take charge of the cooking.<br/>There are 4 soup bases to choose from, we chose Nutrition soup (not chicken stock but it tasted close enough and was presumably the milder of the 4) and tom yum. The other 2 were a Spicy chinese base and miso soup.<br/>Both soup bases were flavoured nicely but could be tailored to your taste by adding various sauces you can obtain from the sauce/condiment table. After a dash of salt, pepper, sugar, sesame oil and some hoisin sauce our Nutrition soup was perfect and the tom yum base was just right as it was.<br/>Plenty of individually portioned hot pot ingredients made its rounds. Our favourites were the white fish, assorted fish balls, fish cake, quail eggs, sliced beef, bok choy, scallop (we asked for these, you are given a list of all ingredients on offer and if there is something you dont see on the conveyor belt all you have to do is ask) shiritaki noodles, enoki mushrooms, chicken hearts (my 10 year old loved these) and chinese cabbage. All delicious and filling.<br/>Plates are cleared away very quickly and there is never any build up of dishes, there is always help when needed.<br/>I am very happy about my first experience at FOF hot pot, there was no wastage, the staff were great, food was tasty and fresh and the place was bright and clean.

Fun way to eat. Thanks to a voucher offer, we discovered this delightful hot pot restaurant. There are a lot of offerings for entrees that you help yourself to; then you choose one of 4 different soups (we chose Tom Yum) for your individual hot pot. As the little plates with various offerings move by, you just grab what you want and pop the items into your hot broth. There are loads of different sauces and additives to make your meal what you want it to be. Eat all you want and the staff are so helpful both with replenishing your soup and clearing away used plates. And it's healthy too! We'll definitely be back. :)

Went there at 6pm today with a booking and was not disappointed! really amzing service and food, even though we were scoopon customers, they still treated us like royalty.<br/><br/>lots of variety on the rotary, and they're not cheap on the meat! throughout the whole meal, we kept requesting more meats and vegetables from the waiters and they were more than happy to grab it for us from the kitchen. <br/><br/>however, we did not have to do that often as we mainly picked our hot pot ingredients from the always full rotary!<br/><br/>we're definitely going back for seconds, worth it for the price and they really mean all you can eat!
Thuytee
A satisfied meal!. Great concept its like a sushi train joint but serving hotpot ingredients instead. There was a variety to chose from and the serving size was good in a way that it prevents us from wasting food. Staff were polite and helpful especially towards those who've never eaten hotpot before. Recommended place to dine. tom yum soup base goes perfectly well with all the seafood. Chilli base soup is very spicy but yummy if you can handle it :)
Eva Q Huynh
The food just comes and it comes. You will not leave hungry. 4 different soup options to suit any one and heaps of different items to choose from. You can ever select hot sushi and skewers to choose from and a coconut jelly dessert to finish the meal with. Great concept! I have had this in Thailand and loved it, I'm glad they brought this to Melbourne! Staff are very friendly too.
Jen
We really enjoyed our meal tonight, thanks. Lots of choices n friendly staff. Will definitely be back again soon.

Absolutely amazing!! Great concept, really good value and most importantly deliscious. Huzzah!

Wow! Very impressive!! At the same price or even cheaper this restaurant gives a best offer ever. Beside other popular hot pot food such as: beef, lamb, calamari, squid, baby octopus, dried bean curd, lotus, seaweed ..... Their " all -we-can- eat hot pot items" also includes ( no where else could have)<br/>- Mussel<br/>- scallops ( small, of course)<br/>- barramundi fillet ( must try)<br/>- quail egg<br/>- Enoki ( unlimited)<br/>- King oyster mushroom<br/>- shimej mushroom<br/>- Dumpling ( must try)<br/>- shuimai<br/>- fish paste beancurd ( must try)<br/>- fish ball<br/>with spicy prawn filling ( must try)<br/>- fish ball with mushroom filling ( must try)<br/>- Undon noodle ( good quality)<br/>- shirataki noodle<br/>Must try sauces:<br/>- Thai suki<br/>- soy seasame<br/>- creamy seasame<br/>Definitely will recommend this place to friends!!!

We got a scoopon for 4 to try this place and overall experience was enjoyable and would definitely come back if there's another offer. Without offer is $28.80 a bit pricy. There were plenty if food on the belt going around or else you can ask waiter to being it very efficient too. Service was very attentive. They top up soup whenever they can and take plates away very quickly. Food was small in plates but you can just get more! Hot food was not bad. Was disappointed there was no dessert on the belt only a jug of coconut liquid with jelly in it was really gross
Diyar_17
Lovely idea. I had tried the conveyer belt style hot pot in thailand and was hopping it would catch up in australia. I was really excited about this place and it was everything I was hopping and more! The food options are amazing for the price there is so much variety. We tried the tom yum base and it complemented everything nicely. There is also sushi and hot food options - I was not expecting amazing sushi at a hot pot place and to be honest it probably isn't as there isn't a lot of variety but prawn and chicken sushi was quite nice and I just loved the fried sushi with the mayo! The staff was quite helpfull. negatives ? hmm I'm not a tall person so trying to sit on the high sits was a challenge and I was kind of dissappointed that there wasn't any dessert options ( but as they're kind of newly opened I hope they will add some for future). All in all it was definitely worth it I we will be back again and highly recommend this place

Ordinary food, awful staff. We bought a Scoopon for our group of 4. Called on Wednesday afternoon to book for saturday 6pm, booking was accepted. on Saturday 2pm we got a call from a young man stating that there was an error made and they are over booked. As we had booked late (appeared at the bottom of his list) he is bumping us to Sunday. We argued that we had called to book on wednesday, which is acknowledged by the young man, but he said : it is not our fault, it is the systems fault! as we continued negotiation he got the manager on the phone. Manager is a vietnamese lady and apologise profusely the moment she picked up the phone. we explain that we cannot make it for Sunday and next weekend we will be overseas. She checked the booking and offered us to start at 5:30pm instead, moving our booking forward by 30 minutes.<br/><br/>Due to work commitment for one of our group and traffic, we were panicking all the way rushing to the restaurant. I ran ahead from the car once parked to check on our booking, only to find the restaurant quiet with 6 people seated. I note that this is 6pm, our original time of booking. As I stood outside backoning my friends (one of them is large with pregnancy) towards the restaurant, a young man (same one on the phone early that day) opened the door and asked if we have a booking. I answered yes, a booking for 4. He looked at us (pregnant lady in tow) and curtly said " you are late". <br/>I was absolutely shocked at his attitude and spat back " traffic, cannot be help!"<br/>the manager lady and another female employee at the counter both looked confused as to which reserved table to seat us. despite having a pregnant lady in our group (whose pregnancy is very obvious and unmistakable) we were brought to the bar seats all facing the converyor belt, without consultation if my friend can manage to climb and sit up on the high bar stools.<br/>I asked the manager lady what time is the seating session up to, assuming that they have moved our booking 30 minutes earlier for a reason. She said 2 hours. <br/><br/>Food:<br/>self service to sauces + Sushi +Fruit punch + hot food bar <br/>hot pot ingredients are on the converyor belt.<br/>each person gets an individual pot of soup base, choice of:<br/>-Nutrition Soup (spelt incorrectly on the menu, but basically clear stock)<br/>-Chinese Spicy<br/>-Tom Yum<br/>and one other soup base which i cannot recall. may have been mushroom.<br/>a sheet of paper listing the ingredients was left with us and the manager/waitress said we can order anything on the sheet as we need.<br/><br/>the little plates of hot pot ingredient was very very small. I counted approx 20 different items. that may sound like a lot but if you dont eat some items your choices are limited. they are also very very small in portion. I guess it is necessary, but at 2 thin slices of meat (unlabeled. cannot tell if beef or lamb) per plate the table is soon and frequently crowded with empty plates. the staff clears them frequently so that is not so much as an issue, but very quickly the belt ran out of meat. We were after some Choy Sum, which at the time none were on the belt, so we tried to order some. that rude young man came over to take our order of 2 choysum, and curtly asked: " is it on the converyor already?????" before taking our order. ( if it was on the belt, why would we order it from you - why so we can see your pretty face?)<br/><br/>I note a few things, too:<br/>1. signage says $28.80 per person. black plate (which turn out to be prawns) is additional $4.50 per plate. (bear in mind other all you can eat hot pot in town is around $29p.p)<br/>2. we witness the black plate of prawns twice, possibly the same plate rotating twice. they were shrimps, and there were only 3 shrimps.<br/>3.the restaurant remained half empty until we leave at 7:30. <br/>4. only 2 of the 4 4pax tables were taken, although all reserved, by the time we leave. of which only 1 of the table has started to eat.<br/>5. there was a small child hanging around the cashier counter. Assuming is the child of one of the staff. at any other restaurant is probably not a concern. This is a HOTPOT shop with hot water being moved around.<br/>6. the child was screaming at one stage, picking her nose at another. *sigh*<br/><br/>overall, I do not think this restaurant is worth while of our money, even with Scoopon discount. staff were rude or inexperienced. it is great to be able to have sushi, chicken skewers and hot pot at the same time, but the food quality is just ordinary. considering you have to pay $1.50 per shrimp effectively, whilst elsewhere would have gave a plate or more included in the entry price, the novelty of rotating food soon wore off.<br/><br/>oh and one last thing - you need stronger aircon.
Jenny Liu
Loved it!. Used a Scoopon deal, the food was really good had a lot of variety, great service, would deff go back.

Great IDea. Great value for Money! Nice sushi also. Would definitely go back.

Worth every penny!. I've been here with my mates and it's quite packed but completely worth the wait. Everything looked good to me: the view, the food and the wait staffs' warm attitude. Recommend Tom Yum soup to those who have't got an idea in mind about which soup to try, in fact I asked for soup refill twice.<br/>It undeniably deserves 5 stars from me!

Delicious food

Delicious food and friendly staffs. This is the Chinese-Japanese steamboat buffet style, one of the best place for steamboat in Melbourne. They offer many kind of delicious and soups such as Tom Yum, Miso, Nutrition soup. All the meats, seafoods, vegetables are put on a conveyor belt for you to choose whatever you like to eat together with soup. I recommenced Chicken barbecue skewers and Japanese pancakes here. the staffs are very friendly, helpful and ready to serve you. I'm certain that you'll enjoy this new dining experience. I'll come back and strongly recommence my friends.

Very nice restaurant. In my opinion, this is a wonderful place for all of you to come to enjoy foods with friends and family. It's delicious. Many other foods ... People are very friendly. Especially, price is reasonable. I love it!

Although this wasn’t my first rotary hot pot experience (my first being in Thailand), I still found the colourful plates of food gliding around the room captivating. FOF Rotary Hotpot is the first of its kind in Melbourne and is currently offering all-you-can-eat for $28.80. How this place works is that each person has their own pot directly in front of them. The first step is to choose a soup to cook all your hot pot ingredients in. The soups available include Nutrition soup (plain clear soup with Chinese mushroom and goji berries), Miso soup, Tom Yum soup and Chinese Spicy soup (be warned, this soup is VERY spicy). The next step is to grab whatever meat/fish/vegetable/noodle dish that takes your fancy and cook it in your soup. Once you’ve finished eating, grab more food and repeat. An extensive hot pot menu was also given to us so that we could order items that weren’t coming around often enough or those that didn’t seem to be coming around at al
