Convent Bakery - Abbotsford - Photo album

Visited the bakery with family for lunch on a very hot Sunday. There was plenty of shade under the big umbrellas which made sitting outside very pleasant. We tried a number of food selections and drinks and found the whole experience to be very enjoyable. I would highly recommend the bakery for catc
Purchased an absolutely delicious hot cross bun here this morning. So fresh and full of flavour. Their spice blend is a little different to typical hot cross buns - so good and highly recommended.
The bakery is located right in the middle of the Abbotsford convent. You can find a couple of different other cafes too. In here you can get mostly sandwiches/paninis and few brunch dishes. Overall the sandwiches were okay, but the fritters were underwhelming and had this awkward limpy texture. Food
Loved the chilli scrambled eggs. Had a side of chorizo and hash browns. Quick service. Lots of items in cabinets that looked yummy. My son loves the frog in the pond too :)
Great atmosphere and location, but if you want a chai, it’s not the place. First one tasted like a hot soy milk, we asked for a replacement and they were kind enough to try again- same result. I’m sure the food and coffee is lovely. Just not a chai place.
I had the most delicious breakfast and I really enjoyed the atmosphere but not the pigeons! I wasn’t comfortable with them flying around me thinking they might attack my food in any second. Definitely coming back because what I ordered was really great.
Great food, mostly made in house, so not sure why the bakery has bad reviews. The pigeons have made a mess on many of the outdoor tables, but you can always take away and sit anywhere in the convent gardens to eat.
Great atmosphere. Good selection of food made on premise. However, I found the prices a bit high.
