This Indian restaurant has to be one of, if not the best in Adelaide! Pleasant, quiet atmosphere, attentive staff, excellent beverage menu & delicious food. Although I didn't choose to eat a lot, the Mango Chicken Curry was superb. My friends chose a vegetarian option & a beef vindaloo, plus steamed rice with naan. The prices are very reasonable & I look forward to my next visit.
Been coming here for a few years never had a bad meal service is top always attentive and the ambience of place great
Such an exstensive menu. Great service. Some of the best Indian food I've tasted in a long time. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Beyond India takes you to an Indian experience like never before!!! Wonderful wholesome Indian food and dining experience!
Loved the cocktails too!!! Papadams were so crispy and tasty! Nan bread was heaven!!!!
George and his staff look after you with such care and friendliness ! Service was exceptional!!!
Can't wait to dine again !!!😊😊😊😊💕
Butter chicken, beef vindaloo and lots of cheese naan with a side of vindaloo chutney.... Amazing food... My fav place on earth
The food was top notch and the staff were very attentive.
A Nice place serving authentic Indian dishes. The Ambiance is quite nice and is designed like that of India. You should try Butter Chicken and Panner Makhni.
Good place for Indian food. The service is prompt and the food tastes nice. The biryani is the highlight of the menu. Naans and gravies are a good quantity. If your craving Indian food, this is the place to be! The dessert is a bit of a downfall. The atmosphere and ambience is quite nice.
This is an excellent indian restaurant to get indian food at. There is a variety of food on the menu here and there is even a bar to get drinks at.
Came here for dinner with mum. Wasn’t many vegan options but I still ordered one of their vegan curry dishes. Was alright! The rice cooked so nicely we finished all of it. Also we had a starter which was three pcs veggie fried thing, it’s gluten free and vegan 🌱 yummmmm
I ordered from Deliveroo, didn’t get a chance to see the actual restaurant so I can only comment on its food. The shrimp vindaloo was excellent, very tasty and great aroma. Lamb rogan josh was a bit heavy for me. Mango lassi was really thick and tasty, much better than some of the watery ones I’ve had before. Salad was not really special, but just need to have some greens with my meal! I think it was a pretty good food choice 👌🏼
Regular in this restaurant - always good food with good spice to it! Take away is super quick, and if you visit the restaurant, it is always busy (which is always a good sign). It's really good Indian food!
I was never really a big fan of Indian food probably because they are so rich. I mean I like them but would probably prefer other dishes if I have to choose. But I came here on a Basketball Team dinner arranged by one of the parent and I have to say, I was blown away. The cracker thing (sorry don't know what they are called) that they served at the beginning of the meal was light, savoury and crunchy. I ordered the chicken vindaloo being a chilli lover and my god, what a vindaloo. They were amazing! Both my partner and son had the butter chicken and they both said they were great. We also had the garlic naan to share. All did not disappoint. Everyone on the table (10 of us) definitely left feeling satisfied. Highly recommended and we definitely will go back.
Now the food here, i enjoy quite a bit. Quite a good biryani, their curries are tasteful with large servings (one serving feeds over one person) except the rice servings are small. I also had a really delicous cocktail here but if you deter from the menu the bar staff dont know other cocktails (im pretty sure they googled on the fly what we ordered). My friend ordered a long island ice tea and it was 4 shots in a short glass with a dash of coke ontop - wasnt drinkable.
However the actual problem for me was the staff, they made me feel like an inconvenience for just being there and werent very gracious. However the girls on the staff were polite and attentive so idk whats going on there.
Beyond India brings a lot of good things to the table, the staff are friendly and fast. The menus cover a lot of ground and the food above all else was great. The only issue I had with the service was the bar, it seemed under stocked and the drinks I ordered weren't quite to par of what one would expect from such a nice place.
Would definitely eat here again and recommend, so long as your drink standards aren't too high.
Had a nice mid week dinner at beyond India the other night. It was a cold winters night so I was in the mood for some hot curry to warm me up. We ordered the tandoori tasting plate entree and butter chicken, lamb roganjosh, garlic nann and rice. The chicken was great but the lamb was missing something. I think they both cold have been a lot more hotter! Chili wise that is. The waiter never asked us how hot we wanted it, but maybe all the dishes are just mild. Besides that it was still a delicious meal. But I still prefer mela on north east rd for India. Can't beat it.
The best Indian food which definitely is beyond the Indian flavours. Love their butter chicken, lamb roganjosh, lamb vindaloo, & the keema nan. The food, the service and the overall dining experience is top grade. I would highly recommend this place to all foodies. Keep serving the good food Beyond India!!
Amazing food! Omg, omg !
I good the butter chicken and the lamb , I had it delivered to my house although I had forgotten to order rice with the meals and as they had delivered it they gave me free rice.... Amazing! Thank you so much guys! I will always come back
This was my very first experience with Indian food. I loved every bite of the butter chicken and fell in love with naan bread. Still to this day if I want Indian and don't want to travel far, I will come here. Also on a side note, the service is amazing.
Beyond India is one of our favourite delivered meals, we'll quite often get it using one of the apps, so we can sneakily order dinner whilst putting one of the kids to bed. In the past, we've also dined in a few times with large and small groups and have always had a good time. So, when we received an invite to come into the restaurant and try some of their dishes, we were pretty sure we couldn't say no. And, we thought we'd take the kids this time! Sitting in for a late lunch on a Saturday, meant the place was pretty quiet. Which is ok, then the kids can move around a bit without disturbing the other diners. It's quite formal for an Indian restaurant, the tables are set nicely and the furniture is ornate.
Had a lamb roganjosh and the lamb biryani! The roganjosh was good, except for the surprisingly tough meat. The lamb in the biryani was tenderer - a confusing part. I'd think that lamb stewed in a saucy dish would be far softer than one cooked with rice. Otherwise, the flavours were all there!
Excellent food, service, outstanding presentation including decor and furniture created a lovely ambience.
I highly recommend this restaurant
Visited beyond India on our visit to Adelaide. Being Indians, I must say that the food was very good given the comparison of other Indian restaurants around. The Masoor dal was excellent along with the Nan and the Jeera rice. The Lamb Rogan Josh could have been given a miss as it lacked the real zing. Moreso the pieces of lamb were a bit tough. The tandoori chicken had a lot of colour added to it and wasn't the regular succulent tandoori chicken. However, I don't mean to sound harsh as possible one cannot find the same Indian spices here in Australia and given the circumstances I would definitely visit again if I missed home or Indian cuisine. The ambience and service are excellent. And yes, they actually serve Kingfisher beer here :-)
Quality Indian cuisine.
I ordered the Malai Kofta, which was coated in a lovely tomato and capsicum based sauce. My friends had Alu Gobhi, Lamb Roganjosh, and Butter Chicken. All dishes impressed us. We were spoiled for choice with their assortment of naan bread, but I was very happy with my selection of garlic and cheese.
I've been here many times, and every time it has been good. However, I'm judging this based on my latest experience.
Because we got in a during rush hour, the service was understandably lacking a bit. Cutlery were wrongly taken away, there weren't enough napkins, food orders got mixed up etc. It was a bit awkward.
Food was still good though, as usual. The peshwari naan continues to be a stellar dish, and the chicken korma and butter chicken are always reliable.
Granted, Beyond India tends to be a bit more expensive than the average restaurant but you do pay a bit more for quality.
The staff were friendly, we asked recommendations and we had garlic nann, and a tandoori tasting platter and a spicy curry and also their traditional dessert. Dessert is too new and different to me but the food were so good!
I love beyond india oconell st. I've been going here for quite some time and have never had a bad experience, the food is always fabulous, the service impeccable and the staff are amazing. Always greeted politely and the staff go out of their way to ensure we are happy. It wasn't long before the staff got to know our regular drinks and orders and brought them without having to ask us. If we felt like trying a new dish the staff gave great recommendations and knew the menu well. The decor is beautiful, beautiful statues and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Beyond india north adelaide is one of my favourite restaurants and I cannot fault it. 😀😀😀😀😀

Went here for dinner, the service was amazing, friendly and quick. Food was delicious, mango lassi to die for. Highly recommend :)
One of my favourite restaurants in Adelaide. The lamb briani is my favourite dish at Beyond India. Good atmosphere at the restaurant and good service
Beautiful decor and attentive service. The meals are delicious although serving sizes are disappointing so expect to order more than you intended to. The entrees were all to die for and the paneer dish is one of my favourites. Definitely worth a visit or two.
This is Indian food at its best. The surrounds are great, the seats comfortable, plenty of table space, great selection of food & drinks and service which is very good. You always feel your are in for a good dining experience and it never lets you down. We visit a number of times during the year and the food quality and quantity is consistently very good. It is difficult to recommend any particular dish as everything we have tried meets expectations and we leave feeling well fed and not too light in the pocket.

An absolute delight. By far, our most favourite restaurant! Vegetarian dishes are amazing and the service is even better. Just a little less oil would be great tho! But nevertheless, definitely recommend it. No one should miss this wonderful dining experience!
Favourite Indian restaurant! Been many times and always consistent with great food and excellent service! Butter chicken is the best I've ever had!!
Great outcome to a long search. Since moving to Australia and spending so much time working away, i have searched high and low for a great tasting Indian restaurant.
Beyond India nails it for me, great tasting foods, fresh ingredients and great service. As i work in Adelaide several times a month i get to go back and this is where it gets my praise; for the restaurant delivers great food consistently.
Having been so disappointed in so many places, i really believe this restaurant is serving-up some of the best Indian food in the country.

Amazing flavours- perfectly succulent chicken, lovely papadums and my partner said the garlic naan was awesome. GF marked on the menus and SO MUCH CHOICE. Just wish we could come again- alas, we are traveling through and are so thankful our friends gave us the recommendation. Paying it forward by taking the opportunity to tell anyone thinking of it- GO! It's delicious.
Love it. I've had a lot of Indian, but Beyond India is my favourite that I keep coming back to. Great tasting food, PERFECT naan bread, and they deliver! The delivered food is served in generous portions, and tastes great, but you really have to go eat in the restaurant to experience Beyond India properly. We go here for anniversaries and birthday dinners.
Always nice curry, the service was pretty slow but the food made up for that. Would love them to deliver further out in the suburbs.
Beautiful food, service and ambience. Best Indian in Adelaide.. Well worth the price!
Congrats Gorgeous George. We are sooooo delighted that George Papatolis extraordinary Matre'd has won his well deserved Oscar Award at being such a wonderful frontman @ Beyond Nth Adel. We have been regulars for years & simply adore George & his beaut team with such admiration.
The food is always outstanding & service is always with a smile & a social banter.
We applaude you George clap, clap, clap....
Our best wishes to you,
Your Regulars!

Some of the best Indian in Adelaide!. Everytime we go here we leave happy and satisfied!
This time when we went we had the Chicken Vindaloo (something a little different, however next time will stick to beef) which was delicious although i do prefer the beef and we also had the beef Chennai which was lovely! The currys are always cooked beautifully and the consistency is always a winner never to dry, thick or watery... just right!
A "posh" Indian restaurant which has a good range of curries and other Indian delicacies (including their homemade ice cream). Went with a bunch of colleagues and was amazed by the curries! They are all alil different from each other but delicious! Remember to ask for it to be HOT! However stay away from their entree platter as they are really small. Dessert is true to their Indian origin sweet & full of sugar! Definately recommended! Oh! Also the nth adl branch has a nice ambience to it compared to other Indian restaurants. And service is top notch.
Dosa. Dined here recently for my birthday dinner, it was sooo good!! I want to express my thanks to the kitchen for making my vegetarian all time favourite (the masala dosa) into my new vegan favourite, by putting the aloo gobi as the filling. It was really yum, and we will be coming back for it :) You made my day!!! Great service too!!
Best curry I've ever had! Tandoori chicken. Amazing.
FANTASTIC!!! We are gluten free Vegans and we came out with very full bellies!!! The staffs service was excellent, extremely friendly and they waited on you hand and foot!! My young children loved the food too!! We even had left overs to take home and very reasonably priced! Best indian I have ever eaten!!! HAPPY CUSTOMERS!!
Food was good, if slightly on the pricier side. However service was a atrocious. The person servicing me didn't speak a word to us and seemed annoyed at our presence. Definately keep as a takeout but avoid the dinner service.
Cha'party Time. Quality restaurant all the way. The food and service are top rate and the food is outstanding. Not the cheapest place around, and you can get quality Indian food for much less, but you will loose the level of service and ambiance of what is a classy place. Must ask for the side dishes it really makes an Indian meal.
Yum. Their butter chicken is the BEST! Dip in a cheese papadum and it's the ultimate!
Hard to fail. We've been regulars in this place for a while, and every time it was a pleasant experience -- excellent food and nice personal service. Great place.
Oh My Goodness Gracious!. This is deluxe Indian food fit for a Maharajah. Quality, fresh ingredients. Prepared and cooked with skill and passion. Do try it!
Authentic. This place serves some of the best indian ive had since being in India. Pappadums on arrival were very welcome. The Chicken tikka dosai was very good for entree and prepared our appetites for what was to come.
The garlic, cheese and mince naans were all superb and a must to soak up all the flavours. Our mains were all incredible. Chicken Korma - very smooth and lots of sauce. Lamb Shank - huge serve and the meat fell of the bone. Tasted amazing. Lamb Byriani - served in a bowl covered in a bread/pastry top and had plenty of flavour and was very filling. The staff are efficient and provide quick service. Had a great meal and would recommend you try it.
Best Indian food in Adelaide. Love the food at Beyond India North Adelaide! They are consistently brilliant every time. The staff are always friendly, the food is great value and mouth watering delicious...Their butter chicken is the best in Adelaide... Their naan is perfect..I am a regular patron and have never experienced nothing but the best after all these years...On the very slight negative side, i am not sure what the points system is all about, regular customers would notice that points are accumulated with every purchase, but i have never been told how these points can be used! Other than that Beyond India is an example ofwhat a great restraunt experience is all about!
Good but not really good!
Food is great but the service is sloppy! Ten people, four menus and took forever to be served.
Great Food & Great Service. The food was excellent specially Beef Vindaloo and Barrah Kebab. Garlic and Cheese naans are big and filling. Contempary Decor. Love the sliding door at Beyond India
My husband and I love the food. Great atmosphere and the table setting. Great service, especially the manager that working at the restaurant. The prices are a bit too expensive but it is w
New king of india food. With my once favourite Tandoori Oven now closed, this is my new favourite indian restaurant. lovely !!
Always good but expensive. Also very noisy inside or on the street. Good Indian food but let's face it, you pay a premium anywhere in Nth. Adelaide.
Great food and very professional service. The menu is well writen which makes it easy to order dishes with flavours that you like. The stuffed chili entree was great, and had a good amount of heat. Bit expensive but worth it for the décor, food and service.
Great place for a quality night with your partner, friends, or even colleagues.
You're nicely welcomed by polite staff upon arrival. The food quality and variety are great. Food arrives on time. Totally recommended for a quality evening.
One thing to mention though, the Google map photo takes you to Twin street to enter to the restaurant; however, the restaurant is situated behind the Hindmarsh Square Playground.
What an amazing food experience. Food was to die for, wine spot on. Staff were on point. Will definitely be back on return to Adelaide. Superb is the only way I can describe the meal. There is a reason the place was full, in the city, on a Wednesday.
Must visit restaurant in Adelaide. Staff are lovely, Food is amazing and the place is quiet and calming. An ideal spot for a date. I recommend the feed me menu. The staff are happy to make adjustments to the dishes depending on your preference and dietary requirements and you have the opportunity to try a range of dishes. If you’re up for a spicy food challenge, try the Tindaloo dish.
This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions. Mouthwatering food and amazing staff. Must visit restaurant in adelaide. Tried chicken tindaloo(toooo spicy and delicious).
Spectacular food and service – Amrik and Lee plus the wizards in the kitchen made for a perfect family night out. We were a party of three – 2 adults and a 7 year old. Had the entre serving platter and lamb tandoori followed by mains of Malabari beef and Chicken Tandoori. Side of crispy cucumber salad. Dessert of orange cake and cream. Spiciness was mild with a gentle kick, just right for the little one and enough spice for the two big ones. Portions perfect. Strongly recommended, we’ll be coming back.
Fantastic service, Lee and the rest of the team were all on the ball and alway checking to see the food was good and I didn’t need anything. The food was great and I would highly recommend. They can be very busy but we’ll worth the wait.
Fantastic value, and the awards were totally well-earned - food was so yummy. Attentive service and food came punctually as well! Would suggest the Chicken Mansala and Chicken Tandoori!
Easily my favourite Indian restaurant in Australia. The blue vein cheese naan is mesmerizing and the tindaloo will knock your socks off. Fantastic menu and even better service. Will always come back here for A+ quality food.
