This Indian restaurant has to be one of, if not the best in Adelaide! Pleasant, quiet atmosphere, attentive staff, excellent beverage menu & delicious food. Although I didn't choose to eat a lot, the Mango Chicken Curry was superb. My friends chose a vegetarian option & a beef vindaloo, plus steamed rice with naan. The prices are very reasonable & I look forward to my next visit.
Been coming here for a few years never had a bad meal service is top always attentive and the ambience of place great
A Nice place serving authentic Indian dishes. The Ambiance is quite nice and is designed like that of India. You should try Butter Chicken and Panner Makhni.
Good place for Indian food. The service is prompt and the food tastes nice. The biryani is the highlight of the menu. Naans and gravies are a good quantity. If your craving Indian food, this is the place to be! The dessert is a bit of a downfall. The atmosphere and ambience is quite nice.
This is an excellent indian restaurant to get indian food at. There is a variety of food on the menu here and there is even a bar to get drinks at.
Came here for dinner with mum. Wasn’t many vegan options but I still ordered one of their vegan curry dishes. Was alright! The rice cooked so nicely we finished all of it. Also we had a starter which was three pcs veggie fried thing, it’s gluten free and vegan 🌱 yummmmm
I ordered from Deliveroo, didn’t get a chance to see the actual restaurant so I can only comment on its food. The shrimp vindaloo was excellent, very tasty and great aroma. Lamb rogan josh was a bit heavy for me. Mango lassi was really thick and tasty, much better than some of the watery ones I’ve had before. Salad was not really special, but just need to have some greens with my meal! I think it was a pretty good food choice 👌🏼
Regular in this restaurant - always good food with good spice to it! Take away is super quick, and if you visit the restaurant, it is always busy (which is always a good sign). It's really good Indian food!
I was never really a big fan of Indian food probably because they are so rich. I mean I like them but would probably prefer other dishes if I have to choose. But I came here on a Basketball Team dinner arranged by one of the parent and I have to say, I was blown away. The cracker thing (sorry don't know what they are called) that they served at the beginning of the meal was light, savoury and crunchy. I ordered the chicken vindaloo being a chilli lover and my god, what a vindaloo. They were amazing! Both my partner and son had the butter chicken and they both said they were great. We also had the garlic naan to share. All did not disappoint. Everyone on the table (10 of us) definitely left feeling satisfied. Highly recommended and we definitely will go back.
Now the food here, i enjoy quite a bit. Quite a good biryani, their curries are tasteful with large servings (one serving feeds over one person) except the rice servings are small. I also had a really delicous cocktail here but if you deter from the menu the bar staff dont know other cocktails (im pretty sure they googled on the fly what we ordered). My friend ordered a long island ice tea and it was 4 shots in a short glass with a dash of coke ontop - wasnt drinkable.
However the actual problem for me was the staff, they made me feel like an inconvenience for just being there and werent very gracious. However the girls on the staff were polite and attentive so idk whats going on there.
Beyond India brings a lot of good things to the table, the staff are friendly and fast. The menus cover a lot of ground and the food above all else was great. The only issue I had with the service was the bar, it seemed under stocked and the drinks I ordered weren't quite to par of what one would expect from such a nice place.
Would definitely eat here again and recommend, so long as your drink standards aren't too high.
Had a nice mid week dinner at beyond India the other night. It was a cold winters night so I was in the mood for some hot curry to warm me up. We ordered the tandoori tasting plate entree and butter chicken, lamb roganjosh, garlic nann and rice. The chicken was great but the lamb was missing something. I think they both cold have been a lot more hotter! Chili wise that is. The waiter never asked us how hot we wanted it, but maybe all the dishes are just mild. Besides that it was still a delicious meal. But I still prefer mela on north east rd for India. Can't beat it.
Great place for a quality night with your partner, friends, or even colleagues.
You're nicely welcomed by polite staff upon arrival. The food quality and variety are great. Food arrives on time. Totally recommended for a quality evening.
One thing to mention though, the Google map photo takes you to Twin street to enter to the restaurant; however, the restaurant is situated behind the Hindmarsh Square Playground.
What an amazing food experience. Food was to die for, wine spot on. Staff were on point. Will definitely be back on return to Adelaide. Superb is the only way I can describe the meal. There is a reason the place was full, in the city, on a Wednesday.
Must visit restaurant in Adelaide. Staff are lovely, Food is amazing and the place is quiet and calming. An ideal spot for a date. I recommend the feed me menu. The staff are happy to make adjustments to the dishes depending on your preference and dietary requirements and you have the opportunity to try a range of dishes. If you’re up for a spicy food challenge, try the Tindaloo dish.
This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions. Mouthwatering food and amazing staff. Must visit restaurant in adelaide. Tried chicken tindaloo(toooo spicy and delicious).
Spectacular food and service – Amrik and Lee plus the wizards in the kitchen made for a perfect family night out. We were a party of three – 2 adults and a 7 year old. Had the entre serving platter and lamb tandoori followed by mains of Malabari beef and Chicken Tandoori. Side of crispy cucumber salad. Dessert of orange cake and cream. Spiciness was mild with a gentle kick, just right for the little one and enough spice for the two big ones. Portions perfect. Strongly recommended, we’ll be coming back.
Fantastic service, Lee and the rest of the team were all on the ball and alway checking to see the food was good and I didn’t need anything. The food was great and I would highly recommend. They can be very busy but we’ll worth the wait.
Fantastic value, and the awards were totally well-earned - food was so yummy. Attentive service and food came punctually as well! Would suggest the Chicken Mansala and Chicken Tandoori!
Easily my favourite Indian restaurant in Australia. The blue vein cheese naan is mesmerizing and the tindaloo will knock your socks off. Fantastic menu and even better service. Will always come back here for A+ quality food.
