Didn't realise there was such a hidden restaurant like Red Ochre Grill, but glad I got the opportunity to check it out! My pork belly dish was unfortunately a bit disappointing since all I got was the fatty part which wasn't even rendered properly. Halway through my meal, it went very jelly-like and any more spoonfuls could have been fatal for my arteries. But, the flavours were beautiful and made up for it! The mushroom risotto was quite nice, and the dessert was a success!
If you want to impress visit this stunning setting, it overlooks the beautiful city from the Torrens.
The Service is second to none, with every single hostess dressed impeccably and willing to accommodate every need whilst being attentive but not intrusive, and the service didn't stop from the surface
This was the second time here this month and this time I was left very very satisfied and impressed once again the service perfected the evening.
It made everything perfect.
Tonight was the first time I used festival of food app, was it worth it yes I like the idea of planning it!
The entree tasting plate was Devine the pork sausages where bedded on saukraute with a hint of aniseed myrtle to taste left me wanting more and the kangaroo shooters were a pleasant accompaniment to the entree tasting plate.
I picked the wattleseed gnocchi for main it literally melted in my mouth, he had the kangaroo fillet on a bed of sweet potato mash with crispy leek.
I did try his too it was excellent!
The side salad was incredible but the French fries douced in black onion were unique and yet stunningly flavorful.
By this time I was too full to have dessert so I had a taste of his.
The Meringue was the best I have ever had as as quangdong was incorporated into it and topped with a thyme sorbet on top of a yogurt type Eaton mess.
And on the other plate was 2 coconut chocolate mousse petite fours which finished the night nicely.
Highly recommend this venue as it was a first class experience from start to finish.
A little pricey but well worth it.
Hands down this place is what we’ve been searching for. Fresh clean balanced food!! Yesss!!! We didnt expect much as we had a deal with dimmi but mygosh from breads, entree to mains and salads we gobsmacked. So entrees was emu and squid. Both dishes beautifully presented and were both just so refreshing. Very clever plate decoration with the squid ink. Mains we had the steak and chicken. My steak was perfectly medium well done!! Chicken was succulent, yum yum. We shared a rocket salad with fresh peas. Our daughter ate most of the peas so i guess that says it all.
