A fantastic little restaurant! The service and quality were impeccable and the ambience is great. Be sure to venture beyond the front bar and beer garden into the main restaurant at the rear. Wait staff were attentive and friendly, providing great suggestions and well balanced service without feeling harassed. The food was phenomenal. They've recently revamped the menu and the new food is a wonderful gastronomic adventure. We had the porterhouse and the venison While the porterhouse was perfectly cooked and a well rounded dish, the venison was the true star. The venison was perfectly cooked and brilliantly presented. Flavours were well balanced and it was delicious. For dessert we shared the mango and coconut parfait (with steeped apricots and finger lime). It was a creative dessert, well put together with a hint of spice, great flavour and texture. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Lovely upmarket pub. Relaxed and contemporary interior. Friendly and attentive service. Icy cold tap beer and delicious menu options. We loved the duck pate and gourmet burger. Highly recommend!!

Several cuts above “usual pub fair” food presentation and taste was amazing and for the price I’m quite frankly blown away. Hats off to the chef!

First time visit yesterday. Really nice decor. Good menu. Not cheap to eat but gave a very strong impression that everything coming out of the kitchen would be top notch. I ordered a porterhouse steak. Normally I would order medium rare but if you ever get a hint that the meat will be spectacular order it rare as I did. The dish will speak for itself. It was memorable. The staff were particularly friendly and that stood out. It was a great day for a Christmas lunch, and many thanks to the Publishers

Excellent food, and the bar staff have good knowledge of the beers they serve which range from boutique to old favourites. Meals are equally suited to sharing or keeping to yourself. The ribs, fries and the jerky were all excellent. It's a very trendy scene inside, with like lighting and was brick walls. Would recommend to anyone. Ever.

Our weekly jazz session on Wednesday night. These young students are fine musicians.
