Huge ticks for great atmosphere, staff, wine list and the cheese platter was fantastic. Big ticks to the gentleman on the door. Added that extra friendly touch.
A must visit everytime I go out in town. Love the food but best of all is the wine selection and the great knowledge of the staff behind the bar. I take all my visitors here.
If you need to transport yourself to France then this is another little place to do so. A great selection of French wines and cocktails and good French snacks to go with it. Really great staff and it always has a great atmosphere. They are now open all day serving coffees, breakfast and lunch.
So charming! Lovely bar offering a good selection of drinks and tasty snacks. My friend and I ordered the croquettes, and bread with butter to share. The latter may sound bland, but we trusted it would be executed well here of all places, and it was exquisite. Staff are incredibly polite and I just love hearing their French accents.
So happy... Love the decor, love the drinks, love the service.... I'm glad you can get such quaint bars in Adelaide now... Friday night drinks- here I come!
A great little place for a drink and nibbles in the city. Excellent variety of drinks and wines by the glass. Duck rillettes was delicious. Will definitely go back.
Gorgeous little bar with an amazing vibe and very relaxed vibe. Staff were so friendly and helpful, and the wine was delicious! Will definitely need to come back for some food next time! 👌🏽
Food was DELICIOUS, highly recommend the snails 👌🏼!!! The wine was fantastic and service was above and beyond. From the moment we walked in, staff was welcoming and helpful, deco was simplistic yet beautiful and the overall vibe was perfect.
Security shook my hand upon entering. Didn't think much of the place until I noticed the excellent range of unique and boutique liquor on offer. We had several cocktails (all brilliant) and finished off with some special liquor and whiskey on the rocks. Really impressed.
Service was absolutely flawless. I felt so sorry for the bartenders who were putting up with some feral, rowdy customers demanding shitty drinks (like JD and coke) and whining about their 'flat drinks'. If you want a JD and C or Coopers go to your local pub, they're great there. Both female bartenders held their cool with the desperates hitting on them as well.
Nibbles were well above standard too. Will be back again with friends.
Lovely atmosphere, dark and mysterious. Chivalry reigns with security man at doorway also greeting and holding your hand to help you up the small step, enough to make anyone smile. Lovely wine choices.
Went here early evening for an after-work drink. Very attractive little bar. The staff were really pleasant and the bar snacks were excellent. Very tasty goats cheese tart, though the chevre was so chaud, it was nearly running out of the lovely, crispy pastry. Will most certainly go there again.
Have been back a few times since I wrote this, and it just gets too packed on a Friday for comfort.
Firstly, anywhere with the word ‘drinkery’ in the title has my tick of approval.
Stepping through the doors into this Parisian-themed wine bar, La Buvette Drinkery does give off a haughty French vibe. With its luxurious fit-out of Parisian street lamps, exposed beams, navy blue tiles, white panelling and leather booths, whilst serving up the likes of escargots and French aperitifs, it’s unlike anything else in the area – a feat given that laneway bars are the new black.
I did have a moment where I genuinely thought I might be in France, when a French-looking and sounding moustached man hip and shouldered me out of the way so he could order his drink first and then preceded to have a hearty chuckle at his rudeness. I clearly missed the hilarity. If the patrons were rude, service made up for it, with staff very knowledgeable and friendly.
One of the little gems in Adelaide that you must visit! I always find an excuse to go back and never disappoint.

A great place for a drink with friends. This French themed bar/restaurant has an extensive wine list and offers cocktails and mixed drinks. There is a small menu of mostly snacks and some bistro meals to have with drinks or as a supper. Fun and friendly.

My partner and I went to this bar a few weeks back, this place has the perfect atmosphere, great staff and you can taste the quality of drinks they are exceptional and passionate at their craft. Not to miss that the food nicely compliments the drinks. I've travelled through Paris, Annecy, Nice and Monte Carlo for a month and definitely felt like I've travelled back to France. Keep up the great work guys, I will be definitely recommending La Buvette to others.

Our usual go to in the afternoon/evening for a decent cocktail or wine and some nibbles.
The creme brulee at this joint is always perfect, and their cheese platter is always lovely. Music can be bit loud and overbearing towards the evening, but that can be expected for a bar.
