Nooooooo! I came to Adelaide especially to come to Bliss Organic Cafe as the food was always awesome and the ambience greatly refreshing. I just arrived in Adelaide again and the website said "Bliss Cafe is now closed." So I ran down here sure it was a mistake but it has been replaced by an omni place! Goodbye Bliss, you will always be my favourite escape. :-( :-( ;-(
Bliss Organic is now one of my new favourite cafes in Adelaide! I came here today and ordered the acai bowl; this is something, that if offered, I will order at every cafe I go to. I'm always on the hunt for the best acai bowl, and I have to say, of the cafes in Adelaide, Bliss Organic officially makes my favourite!
The acai bowl came with a nice variety of toppings (banana, coconut chips, buckinis, goji berries, rockmelon, and a mint for decoration). Moreover, I was given a very generous serving size, probably the largest of the ones I've ever had, and for $14, I think it was well worth it! The acai mix stayed cold for a long time, and was very filling! The balance of flavours was perfect too! I like my acai bowls on the thicker side, but still smooth and not icy, and this was exactly that! I was very pleased!
The workers here also seemed like nice people, and there is plenty of seating, indoors and outdoors. Parking is also easy, if you just park in the Chinatown carpark, where the 1st hr is free on the days Central Market is open. This also gives you a nice opportunity to explore it later too! Overall, I highly recommend trying this place! My friend also says that she loves this place, and has ordered the Bliss Burger 4 times alone!
Such tranquil relaxation on a hot day in the city. We drove into Adelaide for 1 day and loved this place. Tofu scramble was flavourful and so filling. Also had coffee and partner tried a smoothie - all yum! Really chilled courtyard you can spend hours reading or chilling.
Bliss Organic is definitely worth your attention if you are vegan, vegetarian or neither. It is so much more than a cafe and On The Chopping Board wrote a comprehensive review back in 2013, which is still very relevant and showcases what this cafe has on offer even though it changed hands about a year ago.
We went there on a Saturday afternoon. It was not overly busy but I think it may have been because both of the things I wanted (burgers and acai bowl) were sold out. This just gives me a reason to go back as what we did order was tasty, well presented and arrived quickly at our table. The dumplings were beautifully fried and stuffed full with a tasty combination of minced vegetables. The crumbled tofu was lightly spiced. The aroma of the tumeric was just perfect. We also had iced coffee and iced chocolate both made with almond milk; and while these were nothing remarkable they were refreshing on a hot day.
The outside area is like a small oasis in the city, rather like being in someone's backyard. The pergola area up the back complete with couches and cushions was a perfect place to sit away from the rest of the customers. A large shady tree completed this pleasant space. Inside there is more seating at the front of the shop and there are books, pamphlets and magazines to browse while you are there as well as a well stocked shop offering a range of vegan products.
Parking when we were there was no problem as there were plenty of spaces on the street for which you do not have to pay after midday on a Saturday. However, this could be different during the week or earlier in the day when ticketed parking could apply. There are a few large Wilson car parks around so it should be possible to find a spot.
Summary: Friendly service from two young women who clearly loved what they do; food was fresh and well presented, with generous serving sizes. A little pricey but the meal sizes make up for this. Worth a try? Absolutely! This little place definitely caters for vegans and vegetarians but even non-vegans are likely to enjoy the menu choices. I will be back to try the acai bowl soon.
Finding things to eat on an auto immune diet can be really hard so I'm glad we discovered this little place. They have dairy free, gluten free and vegan options to cater to a lot of needs. The service is really friendly and serving size generous. Fantastic place for breakfast or brunch. I haven't tried the lunch menu yet but on the to do list. Definitely try this out for a healthy and organic type of alternative.
Awesome! Came here for at 12 meaning we got to choose between both breakfast and lunch menus. Pretty much everything looked great but we went with the burgers which were very generously sized and delicious. The wedges were also great and again well sized. The smoothies and juices were excellent and the coffee was good as well. Finally, the staff were really nice and very helpful. Definitely recommended!
Amazing good. So many options for vegans. A little pricey, but the quality of food and ambience of the place is fantastic. You'll come back again for sure.
amazing wide selection of vegan friendly, gluten free and sugar free foods - which taste great. large variety of milks and teas. beautiful outdoor area to sit and enjoy brunch with exquisite service
Loved the atmosphere here and the food is excellent! great prices too! I had the Bliss Burger and the organic iced chocolate and they were both delicious. Service could be a little more friendlier but other than that I would give this place a four out of five! I thought they were going to take a long time to bring the food out given that it was pretty busy but they had our meals out quick smart! my mum had the "It's not a pizza" I think it was called and she loved it. Will definitely be coming back next time that I am in the city!

BLISS ORGANIC CAFE:
This funky vegan cafe located off gouger street has been on my radar for a while now and finally I discovered why it's been raved about by others. Serving up vegan foods that are far from bland, Bliss Organic Cafe provides the perfect atmosphere and food for a hot Saturday morning. I opted for the Blissful Toast, Turkish pilé topped with avocado and tomato and my companion had the same but with mushrooms. Both were delicious. The avocado was luscious and was sprinkled with herbs that gave an extra hit of flavour. Also note the long list of juices and smoothies on the menu. Would recommend the wu-tang juice which was apparently 'the best juice' ever tasted by my companion. Overall an enjoyable experience that left me satisfied and eager to return.
Rating: 8/10
Great place for a healthy dinner lunch & breakfast Every one is catered for vegan , gluten free options and low carb. The atmosphere is relaxing, check the outside area out back.
All the food is vegan and organic I had the bliss burger which was very tasty, all the meals are good size servings fresh and healthy. Staff are friendly and helpfull. Great range of drinks smoothies and deserts . Close to the central market . No dairy option for coffee , but its vegan . so that's fine. ( closed Sundays)
Outstanding food, drink and atmosphere! Go out of your way to get to Bliss (I was travelling through and it's easy and central). Rivals best of Melbourne, costs a few $ more for premium organic vegan ingredients, and worth every cent. My non-veg companion was equally delighted with the food. And Steven below, if vegans could complain about the amount of times nasty animal products were in our food, even when advertised veg... and for the record: the coffee is fairtrade and great (I'm a coffee snob too).
This is the best Vegan Café in Adelaide - food is absolutely fantastic, I have never had a bad meal here, the staff are absolutely amazing and friendly and the vibe of the place is second to none. Nothing better than sitting outside on a warm sunny day in the courtyard with a Latte and a piece of Raw Cake. Absolute Bliss :)
Now they have the Wellness Centre upstairs which is truly going to be amazing. It really will be a one stop shop for health, happiness, peace and wellbeing. Just what Adelaide needs!!!!
Great place to visit, a little off out of the way but it adds to the charm. The food is amazing, great outside garden too. Well worth making an effort. A must for any vegan or vegetarian.
A pretty hip place with great ambience. A place that vegans would love. I had one of their burgers, was not disappointed. There is also some lovely garden seating at the back.
Really enjoyed an afternoon here -- super friendly staff, cute little garden, free and fast wifi, and great food and drinks! Big fan of their chai latte (with their own syrup which doesn't have any sugar in it)
Tasty range of vegan cakes and sweets. Delicious coffee and lovely ambience. Check out the garden, its beautiful there.
