We were walking on the street and were craving for chinese food & found this restaurant on zomato with good reviews ,we had a banquet which was enough for 2 person and value for money ,spring roll and beef with veggies were my favourite.Staff wendy was lovely and welcoming with her beautiful smile .Clean and hygeinic ,overall a gud and satisfying experience . Give a shot 👍🏾
We have always enjoyed their food and found the staff to be very accomodating. Either Take Away or Dine In, my favourite Chinese Restaurant by far. (And I have eaten at quite a few around Adelaide.)
If you're looking for take away in Melbourne St this place is perfect. We got a Party Banquet to serve 5 adults and it was a pile of food. I often find Chinese salty, but Lotus was OK.
I'd go back.
Lovely fresh food & service. Don't forget to ask for chilli oil and chopsticks. Ginger scallops, Szechuan chicken were both delicious however very 'Australianised'. Banquet menus very predictable but other items off the menu more interesting. Grab a bottle of wine from next door. This place is pretty good.
Lotus Chinese restaurant, BYO and a banquet for either $23, $25 or $34. Great traditional Chinese food, well presented. staff friendly and helpful. What more could a weary traveller ask for.
The decor is pretty much as you would expect, but it's clean, neat and tidy.
The service was attentive and very polite.
We had one of the banquets. We were impressed following the soup and entrees to be asked if we would like a break before the mains came out. Sometimes in similar genre restaurants, banquets can be served far too quickly.
We (two of us) had the $33.00/ person banquet. There was plenty of food and it was generally very good. In fact, despite being pretty peckish when we arrived, we couldn't eat all the food.
We were asked if we would like a container to take the leftover food home, we didn't even have to ask for one.
It's also BYO bottled wine if you wish at a very fair $8.00 per bottle.
Did we love it ? Yes.
Will we go back ? Yes.
My usual Chinese Restaurant was closed so gave the Lotus a go for takeaway. We shared entrees, main courses and rice. It was all delicious, couldn't fault any of it. The meals were ready quickly and it was great value for money. Will definitely be back.
The lady at front of house was so lovely and friendly, the food was so delicious. I had the sizzling steak and it was so tender and flavoursome, hubby had the curry chicken and loved it. The fried ice cream was also delicious . I will definately be coming back for dinner with the rest of the family next time . Highly recommend a meal at Lotus

Staff were attentive, food was bought out without waiting too long between courses. Each dish, was very tasty.
Food great but the greatest thing about this place is their customer service. Polite and friendly staff and individual attention.
