We have been here lots of times always excellent service and without fail food š„ is always fresh and tasty, they always have plenty of staff on you never have to wait for drinks or food , can't wait for my family to come from Queensland to take them there .
We eat at Citizen regularly ... we eat out regularly ... Citizen is, without a doubt, one of our favourites. This restaurant has beautiful architecture, well presented food, endless decoration, it is comfortable and affordable.
We ordered Peiking duck (2 way - wrap plus stir fry) ; Beef stir fry and a tofu fish. Unfortunately all the dishes came out almost all at once, otherwise it would have been a 5 star.
The restaurant offers traditional Chinese dishes, banquet and yum cha.
Itās a good place to go with a big group of families and friends.
The food was really delicious, and it has a great variety of meat, but the vegetable options are relatively limited.
The staff are very friendly and attentive.
I wish the service could be a bit better and more thoughtful, especially for customers who come for dinning on special occasions.
Definitely one of the places where I have had authentic Chinese food. Pecking duck is too delicious. Dessert menu is innovative too. Service is just what is required with top speed and no too many questions asked . Looking forward to go again and try more from the menu.
Our go to yum cha spot. Comfortable surroundings and plenty of different choices on offer. Staff are friendly and efficient and there is a good wine list. Very well organized.
Citi zen always is our choice when it comes to yum cha. The place is clean and comfortable and the food is always great. The only negative would be the wait staff. They will sometimes offer u dumplings when ur table is empty and you are clearly waiting on your other guest. Or they offer you food when you have already received the bill. Just small things like that they can work on. Tentativeness.
We went to this restaurant on Christmas day for yum cha. The service was very good compared to other yum cha restaurants. The staff actually came all the way to your table to offer dishes and tried to clean the empty plates as quick as they could. The food was quite nice but I would expect more choices for a yum cha restaurant. Would try again for another day that is not public holiday.
lmao who did disĀ

one waitress didn't understand my chinese ripĀ
coconut jelly was succulent
One of the best Yum Cha restaurant in Adelaide! Love the fancy ambiance and decor. So many weekend special dishes on the Yum Cha trolley and the service is pretty responsive as well. Unfortunately, they seems always got fully booked on every weekend. Overall is great!!
Citi Zen is located inside one of Adelaideās most historical buildings the old Brenock Hotel. After renovating the interior they are now Adelaideās largest Chinese restaurant specialising in Cantonese cuisine and traditional yum cha. Shallot pancake. One of my favourite dishes. The pastry was light and crispy but definitely needed more spring onion inside.
The best thing about this place is the space. Can you imagine? Yum cha in Adelaide that 1) doesn't involve waiting half an hour past your booking for a spot, 2) not being squeezed into a tiny niche and 3) has clean cutlery and crockery. Amazing. Life changing even. While the perfect number of people for yum cha might be three, if you must bring your entire extended family, Citi Zen might be your only choice. It's just as well the food is good too. Would gladly return.
Yum cha, yum cha - here we go! CitiZen transforms to an awesome yum cha restaurant for brunch over the weekend. The dishes have a price tag to match with a sitting between two people costing us $72, nevertheless, couldnāt fault any of the plates. The squid was sensation and so was the prawn noodles so we naturally had to get two plates of bothā¦
Best Dim Sum place in Adelaide. Loved the food served on carts, just like the old times. Loved the dessert food cart. The pace was good and so many different choices!
FIVE STAR: food, service and dinng experience (spacious seating, feels comfortable)
Having never experienced Yum Cha dining before, an invitation to join friends and family for Chinese New Years was an offer to good to turn down.
The food was fast, fresh and satisfying. Copious plates of food and array of options had my eyes darting about as the lazy-susan spun like a top, as everyone fought for their favourite dishes.
Judging by the full dining room and happy faces, I have been missing out.
Only criticism was that they had no gluten free options for those like my wife who are Coeliac.
Love it. First time last night after hearing so much about the place.
The restaurant was nice and spacious.
Food was delicious and nicely presented.
Will go back again.
