Had our son’s 50th in the Astoria room last night. What an absolute delight. The staff were wonderful. Thankyou to Will and Kym who set up the technology and got my Mac power point going through the tv. Just made the night special. Thankyou too for the great food. The enclosed balcony with heaters was a hit. Thankyou everyone for making it a memorable night.
My fiance hannah and I had our engagement party here at the Astoria. Great vantage point, great atmosphere on the balcony and private bar is a plus too.
The staff helped with music, microphone setup, lighting, food, drinks and even had a big chef fridge for our 18" cake.
The food was outstanding and all of our friends and family were shocked at how good it was. The venue was just perfect. Couldn't have asked for more. Definitely recommending to friends to come here for next event.
10 for $10. You can't really beat that value. Plenty of options like S&P Squid, Snittys, Thai Beef Salad, Cheesburgers, Chicken Wrap, Nachos, there is something for everyone. The Thai Beef was very good with a generous serve of perfectly cooked soft beef. The cheeseburger was fine for a pub, with perfect fries. Service was fast, I needed to be in and out within 45 mins, as during a work lunch break and I have plenty of time to spare.
Loved the food. Great service. Nice and warm in winter. Really great specials. We will be back. Thank you Astor and keep up the great work!!
A lunch menu that is cheap but most definitely NOT nasty. Lots of choice for $10. I enjoyed the Steak Sandwich with side serve of crispy chips. I must mention, my Asahi Beer off tap was super fresh and beautifully ice cold.

Had a nice meal there the other night, a beautiful fillet mignon and my missus had an chicken enchilada - good food, good price, friendly service - no complaints
Good value, decent quality. Not the best food in the city, but the portion sizes are large, and the prices are reasonable. Suffers from inconsistency in service quality, and food quality. You do have to walk up to the bar to get service, which has always kind of bothered me. That said, we keep going back - it's certainly nice not to be in the busier areas of the CBD.
Good cheap food. Can't beat it on value!

The staff here are very friendly, there's a restaurant section and also a pub section, if you like you can also sit outside. Definitely give this one a go!
Just held youngest daughter's 21st at the Astor after middle daughter 3 1/2 years ago. Belated as COVID struck so had to delay a month. Astor staff very accommodating with rescheduling. Once again great venue, friendly staff, great food and a fantastic night. Highly recommended for functions.
The food is always quick and tasty! Exactly what you need from a local pub! The service is great, always greeted with a smile. Great price range, love that salad is extra with schnittys as the partner never eats it! Means you pay for what you get!
Thank you for making my best friend's birthday an evening to remember upstairs at the Astoria Room! The staff were super friendly and so very accommodating... thank you for providing the candles to the birthday cakes and the food was all deliciousness!!!
I only provide feedback honestly on my best knowledge and The Astor Hotel deserves a praise. The food was delicious and nicely priced.

Brilliant menu choices, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Well worth a visit if stopping through the city or needing a quick catch up, always the go to for a delicious feed and a nice cold drink.
I have dinner here every Friday with the Friday Feed group, and my steak is always awesome.

Had my 21st at The Astor and corresponded with Kym and Julie over months after Covid had caused me to reschedule twice. They were very efficient and reassuring. Chloe and Bri were there on the night and were fantastic. Music was nice and loud, food was good and the staff were amazing.
Great range of beers on tap and the food is extremely reasonably priced and tasty. Recommend the steak Santa washed down with a pint of ichiban beer 🤤
