Bononia is a charming little dessert café. It is happy place with friendly staff, and the sparkly lights at night-time gives a fairy-tale atmosphere. A compact space, just right for pausing over an espresso or affogato with a little sweet treat on the side. Perhaps a biscotto or small cake, or some of the house-made gelati.
There are a couple of dozen gelati flavours, including dairy and non-dairy options. Star flavour is the crema antica – egg custard gelato with lemon.
Delicious gelati. I had the Bononia (house gelati which was custard based) and Cassata. Creamy and very yum. Excellent service and friendly owner. I'll be back!
This is nice, not too much sugar, good selection of flavours and all very well presented. Nice choice of gelato and other sweets. Stop on and have a great treat.
