Tuno Izakaya - Adelaide - Photo album

This is not your typical Japanese restaurant - it's SO much better! The Ramen is amazing - rich and flavourful. The ala carte items are prepared fresh -within view if you choose to sit at the bar (recommended for couples and a small group of four). Beautiful, fresh, authentic - love it.
I found everything to be quite overpriced. Ramen tasted great, but I was expecting to get more than one piece of meat for the price. I donโ€™t recommend the small dishes here, so I would only come for ramen. The fried chicken wings were over-cooked and there were only 4 for a whopping $11.
Was pretty disappointed with the ramen. It was under seasoned and overpriced. The fried squid however was amazing. I don't think I'd come back just for the ramen, but would definitely come back for the other dishes.
DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. Just have a visit after 3 years, still overpriced and not tasty, even as an Asian customer who been to JP and a lot of other Japanese restaurants. Firstly, only one chief who did the grilled skewer work for the whole place, then only one waitress which is lack of service:) A
It is the first time we came and we ordered some popular dishes: - Spicy Miso Ramen: ๐Ÿ™‚ (why is cabbage in ramen? Even it can be chefโ€™s creativity, I suppose it could not be in square shape) - Tonkotsu Ramen: ๐Ÿ™‚ (not too much flavour, egg is not marinated enough, no seaweed) - Chicken wing with fish
The best ramen and yakitori in Adelaide and holds its own against the great ramen shops interstate. Can always appreciate the continual improvement, attention to detail in their ingredients and dishes. My go to for ramen for years.
We tried the spicy miso, tonkatsu, black garlic tonkatsu, salmon skewers, karaage. All of them were good no complaints at all. Will definitely be back
Ramen could of been firmer (preference) but broth was really smooth and creamy, very tasty. Salmon worked quite well in the spicy miso. Karrage was the best I've had in Adelaide. Juicy, lightly battered, crispy ๐Ÿ‘ Gyoza could of had less pork but were tasty. Will be coming back for the Tonkotsu ๐Ÿฅข
