If the idea of Cuban inspired cocktails, latin beats, and South American themed tapas seems like your things, then this Mr Goodbar creation will be your evening destination of choice.
Unfortunately my subsequent visits to Mr Goodbar have been going slightly downwards. I'm not sure what's happened but the vibe of Mr Goodbar is not what it once was and the service is definitely not as good as it used to be. When compared to some of the nearby places Mr Goodbar is lacking at the moment.

A very beautiful bar overlooking Ebenezer place..... Staff are always friendly, professional and efficient.
Split over two levels of a heritage-listed building – with some very beautiful old worldy windows looking down on Ebenezer Place to prove it – Mr Goodbar has pedigree, run by some of the country’s best bar magicians.
This Adelaide bar also has a moody atmosphere, taking inspiration from the Deep South of America. They do an impressive espresso martini (not that I normally like my coffee in martini form). And, on the weekends, there’s a DJ in the house. Although, when we were here, we were convinced we could do better, and commandeered the decks, plugging in our iPhones. Mr von DJ didn’t agree when a Spotify ad came on. Whoops! Yep, we’ll just go back to drinking our espresso martinis.
This place is deceiving with a tiny front downstairs bar. After a few sets of stairs, you are greeted with a beautiful, two level, spacious bar! Funky ambience with cool decorations, DJs and lovely menu options. Mr Goodbar is a great East End bar!
Adelaide has seen an emergence of the small bar scene in a few short years and we are benefiting from a healthy and vibrant late night scene. One bar that seems to be one of those bars with little fanfare is Mr Goodbar and that's how owner Goran Dedic likes it! The bar has an underground vibe and leaves you intrigued on what it has to offer. Kind of like the place the ultra cool Rat Pack used to hang out at in New York city.
We visited Mr. Goodbar on a Friday evening for some pre-dinner drinks and snacks. Enter on Union Street and up the stairs, Mr. Goodbar's fit-out is very cool - booths, neon signs, cool music and a large cocktail list are all cool.
On arrival, our service was quite good. We were offered a seat where we liked. A spot at the window overlooking Ebenezer Place was great.
Between two people, we shared the picked vegetables and crab cakes. We were disappointed with these and wouldn't recommend them. Moreover, we were given one set of disposable cutlery which was inappropriate, and without side plates, sharing was difficult.
However, the drinks list is quite good. There's a good offer of craft beers, small batch SA wineries and selection of spirits.
I would return for pre- or after-dinner drinks, and would recommend others to also check it out. Just be careful of the food.
Impressive cocktail list at reasonable prices. Awesome venue with great music and kind staff. The Raspberry Bramble was my favourite.
What a lovely experience my partner and I had. A lot of cocktails to choose from. I had a few favourites. I just want to say thank you for the lovely time. Kind staff members. We will definitely be back.
Great bar in an archway with live music and djs. Reasonably priced drinks plus happy hours.
Absolutely love everything about this place. The cocktails are amazing, the staff are so nice and friendly and it has such a chill and relaxing atmosphere.

Very friendly service here!!! The bartender was great, clearly loved his job and made a delicious dirty martini (even asking how I liked it!!). The bar itself had a great fit out and from the ‘second floor’ overlooked the Laneway below, very cool!

Good vibe on Saturday night for after dinner drinks. We had the watermelon cocktail and it was very nice and refreshing. Cocktails are about 20 dollars and wine is regular prices. Lots of drinks options but highly recommend the cocktails.
DJ was playing and the place have variety of seats and table but I guess you can dance there too if you want.
Best cocktail I've had by far. I asked for a sweet gin based drink, and this one goes above and beyond. Tastes like lolly snakes, little on the sour side ... How I like it !! Amazed. Thanks Mr Goodbar
