Tried some 물냉면 (mul naengmyeon / cold noodle soup). So refreshing and just the right amount of sour-ness and a hint of sweetness. The serving is really generous so I couldn't finish the whole thing. Very good for the price.
Also tried the bossam, though they didn't really give you any ssam vegetables to wrap the pork with. It comes with rice and some miso(?) soup.
It's really good though. Scoop some rice with your spoon and dip it in the soup, grab a piece of pork and some of the onion and radish salad (?) and put it all in your mouth and you get an explosion of flavours 😍
This is a place tucked away in a small Asian food court on rundle street just behind James place . If your in the mood for some serious katsu curry this is the place to be,I will not say its Japanese Katsu because it is not,with the Korean katsu which is slightly sweeter but tasty. The portion size will not and I mean it will not disappoint. With food size being bigger than your face I promise! I was amazed what I had purchased for 10 dollars! Absolutely worth it. Go try!
The shop owners are so nice (i think so). The toekbokkki looks big from the outside but actually theres not much food. The beef soup with rice and kimchi is good as well, the beef is tender and easy to chew, it tastes so healthy omg. The cold noodles are kinda sour and chewy, it’s getting better after taking a few bites. The jjajangmyeon is so good, would be better if they have some rice to eat with. The total cost for 4 of these dishes is $50 and it’s not expensive at all compared to other korean restaurants out there
Reasonably priced, good service and the food is pretty authentic to me.

I like that it is not altered to suit Aussie taste and kept to Korean taste.
Conveniently located in a foodcourt in a corner of Rundle and King William Road. It is cheap, the dishes come out quickly (they really do live up to their name) so this place is great for a quick Korean food craving fix when you are on the go!

having eaten a lot of Korean food myself, I can safely say this little restaurant does a BIG GOOD JOB. Its not the usual Adelaide style place - its design and layout is very much like the restaurants you will see in any Dong, Gu, or Ssi in Korea. The food at Seoul Express is also very good and you can sample at least 15 dishes. Trust me, I have lived in Korea for 8 yrs and this is good, cheap Korean fare.
For cheap, quick and hearty Korean dishes. Seoul Express continues to serve up tasty meals for a fair price. Portions are hearty and so is the food. Menu selection is varied and each dish is significantly different from the last. I've been there so many times now that the owner recognises me on first sight! Don't expect world-class cuisine and a fine-dining experience (in a food court), but if you are looking for a quick lunch in between a meeting or on the way home, do stop in to Seoul Express - it'll be a $10 well spent. By the way, I highly recommend the Dak Dori Tang.
Way underrated. There are only a handful of restaurants in all of Adelaide that I choose to re-visit and Seoul Express is one of them.
Being set in a food court leads restaurants to be looked down on but don't underestimate the value of great quality food that is fresh and steaming hot coupled with quick service.
This is the formula for any great restaurant, regardless of the location.
