Absolutely love this place! I can't get enough of the Butter Chicken! Keep up the great work, I'll definitely be back!!
Fantastic Indian food with a touch of professionalism. Dress up and expect a perfect date night. Lovely staff beautiful food. Even during COVID, a first class meal at home! Thanks legends, keep up the good work!
My partner told me this place was rated the best Indian in Australia and I can definitely see why. Our takeaway dinner was amazing. Loved the butter chicken and the dal bukhara. There's so much flavour in the gravies, we mopped up every last bite.
100% worth the title and I'd love to dine-in when they re-open after lockdown.
What did I love about this restaurant? Everything! The food, service and ambience was beyond what I was expecting. This is by far my favourite Indian restaurant and I’m sure it would be perfect for those who crave/love Indian food or for those that are new to the Indian cuisine. There’s so many other dishes I want to try on the menu so I’m keen to visit back. Must orders: Sukha Gol Gappa, Murgh Khurchan and Dirty Samosa. The cocktails were also so tasty.
Amazing experience at Atta! Really loved the Silkandari Raan dish, I totally understand why it is so popular, it tastes so amazing!! I would definitely return again!
The flavours at Atta never fail to disappoint - deliciously fresh and savouring every bite! My personal favourite is the classic butter chicken. Love the atmosphere here and staff treat you like family
A must try Indian restaurant! Also a must return to restaurant! The venue itself is stunning the lighting is perfection for nice dinner or date night, staff are wonderful ! Food is sensational!! I highly recommend the dirty samosa and the butter chicken. All was delicious and would highly recommend. Will definitely return . Thank you Atta and great job!
Had a lovely dinner here. Definitely the fanciest Indian restaurant I've been to, both in Melbourne and abroad, and the price reflects this. The presentation is lovely and adds to the experience. We ordered a range of entrees, mains and desserts to share, all very nice although I did prefer the mains. The standout in terms of flavour was the biryani - it came wrapped in a bowl wrapped in pastry, and the rice was moist and flavours delicious.
The restaurant was very well presented and the staff were amazing, and this was just the start. We ordered 1 entree and 2 mains and the food came very well presented and tasted amazing.
Highly recommend Atta Indian if you love your Indian or not. Thanks Legends!

atta is leading the modern Indian culinary in Melbourne and inspiring the world too. If you are in Australia then must visited this restaurant, I believe you will share a lot experience after having bites and sips. This restaurant is rating like Indian Accent New York and New Delhi. These two brands are spreading Indian aroma with other cusines too. I saute them....
Located in Victoria Avenue Albert Park, is a beautiful restaurant with an amazing Indian cuisine.
The dishes we started off with were the Pappadoms, Channa chur garam and Chatpatta paan. The Pappadoms were freshly cooked and went perfectly with the mint chutney. The Channa chur garam was served in a wooden hand and was exquisite! We could definitely eat a few of those. The Chatpatta paan were presented on spoons and were divine. Another dish that we could have had more of.
We enjoyed the Dirty Samosa and Sikandari Raan for entrees. They were both delicious and a nice way to start the mains. The lamb of the Sikandari Raan just melted in your mouth and the presentation of this dish was fabulous! 10 stars!!
The mains came out and we were looking forward to trying it. We had the Murgh makhani (Butter Chicken) and the Machi Tikka Masala (Fried Barramundi). Garlic Naan and Saffron rice was also served with the mains. The Murgh makhani was amazing! Especially when you could dip the garlic naan in the sauce and scoop up mouthfuls of saffron rice to go with it. The Garlic Naan was lovely and you could definitely tell that it was homemade and fresh.
Although we couldn’t quite have anything more, and we really wanted to try a dessert we decided to share one. We had the Chidiya ka ghosla (birds nest). It was a delicate dessert, in presentation and on the palate. It finished off our meal beautifully.
The menu is amazing at Atta but they also have fantastic cocktails too. For beverages, we had two cocktails the Varanasi Sunset and the Smooth Operator and also a glass of Martinborough Pinot Noir. The Varanasi Sunset was a favourite, the blend of the alchohol/ingredients was fabulous! They definitely have a fantastic mixologist.
Atta Restaurant has beautiful lighting and a cosy atmosphere. Our table was a very comfortable size. It is a lovely and relaxing restaurant with friendly and helpful staff.
We thank Atta Restaurant for having us. We experienced Atta Restaurant as guests, and all of our opinions are genuine and are based on our experience at the time of our visit.
I visit Atta earlier this month for a birthday dinner and it was a great experience. I shared the Achari Machli (twice-cooked salmon entree), Kerla Jhinga (king prawns and coconut milk curry main) and Palak Paneer (spinach and cottage cheese main). They were all absolutely delicious and larger than I imagined. I had the gluten-free roti, but I was salivating looking at my parents' serves of naan. The staff were friendly and efficient. I can't wait to go back and try their desserts.
Def worth dining here. The most notable aspect is the presentation of each dish is immaculate. Like a piece of art. The desert was spectacular. We tried the scallops, salmon, and samosa for entrees. We had butter chicken & a meat dish for main with breads and rice. The food was good. I felt I needed to add salt to a couple of the dishes. The serving sizes are generous. The price of the food is pretty expensive. The service was good. My only issue was I said that it was a celebration of our 20th wedding anniversary on our booking. It was not acknowledged at all. That was dissapointing.
Been here so many times and always left with great satisfaction. Amazing food and very unique desserts. Always recommend to friends and family. Can’t wait to be back soon!
Atta is the fine dining Indian experience in Melbourne – it's magnificent.
From the outstanding service to the succulent dishes, there's not much to criticise at Atta. Right from entering the door, you and your party are treated like royalty and feel welcomed in the warm and moody venue. There's no snobbery or expectations – anyone can come and the staff are happy to explain and describe dishes and cocktails.
The food is on another level. The Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Chennai, Murgh Makhani Butter Chicken, Dale Bukhara and Palak Paneer were all tasty and filling without the addition of beautiful Garlic Naan. Each dish also has it's own twist compared to other Indian recipes that make them stand out. The desert we were offered was nothing like we ever had tried. It combined so many flavours you'd think it never work but it definitely does.
With an extensive list of alcohol, non-alcoholic, and custom cocktails using Indian ingredients and flavours – Atta is the space for a unique date night.
Check it out.
Fantastic ambience, great architecture, delicious food and super friendly staff! We had a wonderful time, totally recommended! 👌
Incredible service and the food was amazing! Particularly enjoyed Jhinga (prawn fritters) and the Lamb Korma! Both cooked well and tasted amazing!
