Amazing food! Wonderful service! Despite being super busy the food came super quick and was yum and beautifully presented. We had the granola and green breakfast. Large servings too. Surroundings was great. There was also a playground right outside perfect for young families. Highly recommend.

Lovely spot with river view. Great for kids beside the playground. Delicious pancake, fritters and kids Mac n Cheese hash brown. Sophisticated vibe.

Very pleased to say this visit finds it much improved and virtually back to it's old self. Eggs cooked perfectly, coffee good and service prompt and courteous. Very pleased to have the old Riverdeck back!! Hence the ammended review and 2 stars back to 5...Yah!! Disappointed! This is our regular stop on the drive from Melbourne to Sydney. With 2 kids at USyd, something we do quite regularly. I don't know if because of COVID or they have changed hands but no comparison to what it was. Photos and menu are what is WAS like! Now the Eggs 'Benedict' had no muffin...or even toast! The eggs were overcooked...not the slightest bit runny! Instead of bacon (was free range, locally produced before) got slices of roast pork which was dry and almost unpleasant. The coffee was very ordinary. The 'freshly squeezed' (maybe) orange juice was OK....but so it should be at $9! I am REALLY hoping this was just a glitch. I always looked forward to my breakfast stop here.

Had lunch on ny eve. Absolutely beautiful location. Food was ok, service friendly and attentive. Next time i would byo picnic by the river and grab coffee and cake from river deck.

Had a really lovely time here tonight with some great food, friendly and helpful staff, and a beautiful view of the river out in the deck. I'm vegetarian and the only vegetarian main dish on the menu was a mushroom risotto but I can't eat mushroom. Haisley, our very helpful waiter said not to worry, Ludo the chef was very creative and he would ask if he would omit the mushroom and add a different vegetable. Ludo went a step further and totally blew me away with a made up on the spot zucchini, asparagus, and bean risotto. It was lovely and I was very grateful for Haisley and Ludos thoughtfulness and ingenuity. Thankyou for a lovely dinner!

Have always received great service here with out doubt, however the breakfast we received today was subpar for the price. The smashed avo was ok, though only comes with avocado and half a tomato and some rock hard lavosh crackers. The meal does not come with toast which I found strange considering the price. In addition The zen breakfast was very dry and the tofu had little to no taste. Again, disappointing for the price.

We enjoyed a beautiful breakfast at the River Deck, the coffee was divine, I had the best scrambled eggs and garlic mushrooms I have tasted and my husband had the RD Hollandaise with avocado both were delicious!! The service is amazing the staff are very friendly and the service was prompt and efficient we actually came back after going for a walk and had probably the best muffin I have ever eaten it was Strawberry and Blood Orange and was just amazing!! Such a beautiful cafe!

Super disappointed with our experience at the River Deck yesterday. We waited for over an hour for our food, then the food brought to our table was incorrect. We didn’t enjoy our meal and when we went to pay the bill there were additional items that weren’t ours. There were no apologies for the poor service and we paid for below average food.

I really loved my breakfast at The River Deck. Best food,best friendly and genuine service , and it's all overlooking a beautiful park and the meandering Murry River beyond. Highly recommend.

Haven't been for some time but very disappointing. Used to be lovely and informal with wonderful food. Since our last visit, the cafe has now been 'gentrified', enclosed and a hipster menu introduced. Used to be a favourite brunch and lunch destination for our Sydney to Melbourne road trip- shan't return.

The food is always amazing, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed and laid back. I also love that I can bring my puppy with me and sit outside on the deck while enjoy a great meal and coffee .

My family and I came to The River Deck for lunch yesterday and it was perfect. We are all vegan and the amount of vegan options that they had was incredible. Best smashed avocado we've ever had, hands down. It was perfect. The tofu scramble was a rare find for Albury and it was beautiful, especially with the garlic mushrooms which they were able to make vegan for us. The coffees were outstanding, it can be hard to find baristas that don't burn soy milk but this milk was perfect. What stood out the most was the incredible service from the staff, they were highly professional, friendly and accomodating even though they must have been incredibly busy. We had an amazing dining experience here and I will definitely be coming back for a smashed avo in the near future!

Actually had our wedding reception at the riverdeck. Wanted to thank the staff for the effort and service throughout the night. Had many compliments on the venue and the location from our guests. Food was also sensational and a great time was had by all. Would recommend the river deck.

We held our wedding reception at The River Deck during Autumn 2017. We cannot speak highly enough of this venue and how spectacular they were on our special day. No request was too hard, especially the number of guests we wanted for the size of the venue. Alex and his team were incredibly accommodating. The food was amazing and we had so many guests comment on the high quality of the service provided by the staff on the night. Our function coordinator, Brooke Kilo, met with us on multiple occasions before the night to ensure that all the finer details were covered and everything would run smoothly for us. We were also very lucky to get a mild evening, and guests freely moved around the restaurant, deck, dance floor and outside photo booth all night. We both highly recommend this venue for weddings and functions and are so glad we chose it for our day - Alison and David

Had a private function - staff were excellent and the food couldn’t have been better. Stunning view.

Loved the area and the cafe decoration . Friendly staff. The coffee counter is great too . It’s a handy place to come with kids when you are looking for a stopover on the way to Sydney or back to Melbourne however we ordered kids nachos and were served a few corn chips with small bits of avo, at $12 I thought it was way overpriced . Coffee is a bit expensive too at $4.5 for a small one . I didn’t like the fact that there was a credit card surcharge of nearly $2 and was not told about it and knowing that it’s now illegal to pass it on to customer . A bit disappointed because of that but great location overlooking the Murray River and the playground . Just a bit overpriced and average food . We only tried breakfast though

River deck cafe in Albury. On the way from Melbourne to Sydney. Albury is a nice small town to stop by. Lovely design and friendly staff with good service. River deck cafe is located near the Murray riverside. Food was average but the ambience was very good.

Absolutely loved the food here. It's like Mexican Indian fusion or something. The jackfruit tacos and fritters are so good. But orange juice is too expensive, 8 bucks for a glass. Also the chai powder isn't vegan and they don't have Vegan ice-cream for their drinks which is disappointing. Will defs return though and hope to see more options in the future.

We booked a table on the deck. Great spot overlooking the mighty Murray. Entrees were good. Main meal the chicken was simply delicious. Loved the food, waitress was exceptional. A must visit, worth the drive

On par with Canvas in Central Albury, River Deck Cafe is in my opinion one of the best food spots in Albury. Great food, beautiful interiors and in the most perfect spot overlooking the Murray River. What I love about RiverDeck is in it's simplicity which allows it to be casual and comfortable during the day yet can refine itself and jazz up to be a fabulous and classy spot to have a more formal experience. <br/><br/>I've eaten here about 3 times now for dinner and have never been disappointed. Food is always great and I love the selection of wines on offer which showcases some of the neighbouring Rutherglen Wine Regions finest. Staff are attentive, friendly and helpful. <br/><br/>Have never been disappointed with my experiences at RiverDeck and would highly recommend it. Looking forward to visiting during the day for brunch.

Beautiful spot on the Murray River!! Only ever ordered from the kiosk. Delish coffee and ice creams. Fish and chips were super fresh and crispy. Can be a bit of a wait even for an icecream but staff are very friendly and the lovely guy making the coffee(same guy each morning we’ve been) deserves a pay rise. Flat out but still manages a friendly ‘nearly ready’ if you catch his eye. Beautiful location next to the Murray river and family friendly area with playground, plenty of room for a picnic lunch or bbg if you want.

The food at River Deck was good, but the service could do with some improvement. The bread we ordered arrived at the same time as the main course, rather than ahead. We had to chase our wine order after the main course arrived, which then arrived in an unnecessary carafe with an empty glass, adding clutter to the already small and cluttered table. The Gnocchi was only luke warm. At dessert time we weren't told about the cakes available in the display case until we asked about them. The cakes were delicious, and the waffle was excellent and very indulgent. Tables are very close to each other which, combined with the wooden floor, made for a very noisy indoor environment. People talking on their mobile phone nearby didn't help. Although we had reservations, we hadn't specifically requested an outdoor table. On arrival we asked if we could have an outdoor table, and were told they were all reserved. Fair enough. However, shortly after we were seated, and before we had placed our order, two tables on the verandah became vacant, but we were not offered the choice of moving. Shortly after our food arrived two couples arrived without reservations and were offered the outdoor tables. Overall, not a bad experience, and we will probably return, but we hope the service is better next time.

I was here on the way from melbourne to canberra and surprise that in the middle of small city they have a nice restaurant by the river ... we order few dishes ribs, burger, soup and pancake as dessert ... everything was excellent except the ribs a little bit hard and too chewy.. taste was good but too hard ... pancake is very smooth and refreshing because they add berries on the side

Had breakfast here on overnight stop in Albury - perfect! Service fantastic staff were pleasent and friendly. Meals were great. Highly recommend

What a fine cafe!!! Relaxing by the river and kids playing at the playground. Ordered takeaway wagu burgers, fries and calamari fritto and a chai. The fries were delicious with a taste of truffle. Burger was delicious and decent $10. Love this place.

What a find! The River Deck Cafe has temporarily moved to The Albury Club whilst the river water subsides. <br/><br/>Other than the unusual start, walking through the gentleman's club, the surroundings was refined and service was good. <br/><br/>We ordered fruit toast with house made orange marmalade, banana bread with honey ricotta, Avocado on toast with a side of bacon and the President's breakfast. Everything was spot on with presentation and flavour. <br/><br/>Looking forward to returning in our next interstate trip and visiting the permanent location along the river.

Just a divine serene setting by the river. Allow time to sit and relax while you take it all in! Food was absolutely fantastic! Struggled to decide what to order on the extensive and surprisingly inventive menu! Everything was exceptional! No complaints at all! Will be back for sure!

Ate here last weekend. Amazing. Food was great. Service was fantastic. Everyone working there said hello and goodbye. They forgot 2 of our drinks, they all apologied for it and ensured they came straight out. <br/>Perfect location for a relaxed little weekend get away brunch, along the river.

This cafe offers a relaxed atmosphere with stunning views over the Murray river. Staff are vibrant, friendly and well presented.<br/>Coffee is fresh and aromatic, probably the best on the border.<br/><br/>The dish I ordered was an absolute delight. Produce were fresh and rich in flavor. <br/>An overall pleasant experience. Highly recommend.

Amazing place! Best view in albury, the staff were all friendly and our meals were fresh and tasty. I had the Niçoise salad and the brownie and both were fantastic! Will deffinately be back

Very friendly staff and loved the atmosphere. They've pulled off nautical chic really well. Coffee was 7/10 by Melbourne standards so better then most spots on the border. Epic spot for a gathering with friends!

Can't beat the location (overlooking river & park) or layout with inside / outdoor options; & our service was attentive & positive. <br/>Our breakfast meals missed the spot however, with my pork belly & blood sausage dish massively over-salted & my partners smashed avo & feta was delicious, though like other reviews, was missing bits (roast tomatoes not on the plate). Our coffees were just ok with our short macch's really quite dull (so we went elsewhere for our 2nd coffees). <br/>I'd use the River Deck as an alternative cafe, rather than my preferred local as their food & coffee (the staples) need improvement.

Beautiful fit out & ambience. Staff really friendly except for one really rude waitress who made everything seem too had. Chef forgot tomatoes off dish, no apologies. Breakfast and coffee were average.
