Had a really lovely time here tonight with some great food, friendly and helpful staff, and a beautiful view of the river out in the deck. I'm vegetarian and the only vegetarian main dish on the menu was a mushroom risotto but I can't eat mushroom. Haisley, our very helpful waiter said not to worry, Ludo the chef was very creative and he would ask if he would omit the mushroom and add a different vegetable. Ludo went a step further and totally blew me away with a made up on the spot zucchini, asparagus, and bean risotto. It was lovely and I was very grateful for Haisley and Ludos thoughtfulness and ingenuity. Thankyou for a lovely dinner!
We enjoyed a beautiful breakfast at the River Deck, the coffee was divine, I had the best scrambled eggs and garlic mushrooms I have tasted and my husband had the RD Hollandaise with avocado both were delicious!! The service is amazing the staff are very friendly and the service was prompt and efficient we actually came back after going for a walk and had probably the best muffin I have ever eaten it was Strawberry and Blood Orange and was just amazing!! Such a beautiful cafe!
Had a private function - staff were excellent and the food couldn’t have been better. Stunning view.
Absolutely loved the food here. It's like Mexican Indian fusion or something. The jackfruit tacos and fritters are so good. But orange juice is too expensive, 8 bucks for a glass. Also the chai powder isn't vegan and they don't have Vegan ice-cream for their drinks which is disappointing. Will defs return though and hope to see more options in the future.
We booked a table on the deck. Great spot overlooking the mighty Murray. Entrees were good. Main meal the chicken was simply delicious. Loved the food, waitress was exceptional. A must visit, worth the drive
On par with Canvas in Central Albury, River Deck Cafe is in my opinion one of the best food spots in Albury. Great food, beautiful interiors and in the most perfect spot overlooking the Murray River. What I love about RiverDeck is in it's simplicity which allows it to be casual and comfortable during the day yet can refine itself and jazz up to be a fabulous and classy spot to have a more formal experience.
I've eaten here about 3 times now for dinner and have never been disappointed. Food is always great and I love the selection of wines on offer which showcases some of the neighbouring Rutherglen Wine Regions finest. Staff are attentive, friendly and helpful.
Have never been disappointed with my experiences at RiverDeck and would highly recommend it. Looking forward to visiting during the day for brunch.
Beautiful spot on the Murray River!! Only ever ordered from the kiosk. Delish coffee and ice creams. Fish and chips were super fresh and crispy. Can be a bit of a wait even for an icecream but staff are very friendly and the lovely guy making the coffee(same guy each morning we’ve been) deserves a pay rise. Flat out but still manages a friendly ‘nearly ready’ if you catch his eye. Beautiful location next to the Murray river and family friendly area with playground, plenty of room for a picnic lunch or bbg if you want.
I was here on the way from melbourne to canberra and surprise that in the middle of small city they have a nice restaurant by the river ... we order few dishes ribs, burger, soup and pancake as dessert ... everything was excellent except the ribs a little bit hard and too chewy.. taste was good but too hard ... pancake is very smooth and refreshing because they add berries on the side
Had breakfast here on overnight stop in Albury - perfect! Service fantastic staff were pleasent and friendly. Meals were great. Highly recommend
What a fine cafe!!! Relaxing by the river and kids playing at the playground. Ordered takeaway wagu burgers, fries and calamari fritto and a chai. The fries were delicious with a taste of truffle. Burger was delicious and decent $10. Love this place.
What a find! The River Deck Cafe has temporarily moved to The Albury Club whilst the river water subsides.
Other than the unusual start, walking through the gentleman's club, the surroundings was refined and service was good.
We ordered fruit toast with house made orange marmalade, banana bread with honey ricotta, Avocado on toast with a side of bacon and the President's breakfast. Everything was spot on with presentation and flavour.
Looking forward to returning in our next interstate trip and visiting the permanent location along the river.

Amazing food! Wonderful service! Despite being super busy the food came super quick and was yum and beautifully presented. We had the granola and green breakfast. Large servings too. Surroundings was great. There was also a playground right outside perfect for young families. Highly recommend.
Lovely spot with river view. Great for kids beside the playground. Delicious pancake, fritters and kids Mac n Cheese hash brown. Sophisticated vibe.
Very pleased to say this visit finds it much improved and virtually back to it's old self. Eggs cooked perfectly, coffee good and service prompt and courteous. Very pleased to have the old Riverdeck back!! Hence the ammended review and 2 stars back to 5...Yah!!
Disappointed! This is our regular stop on the drive from Melbourne to Sydney. With 2 kids at USyd, something we do quite regularly.
I don't know if because of COVID or they have changed hands but no comparison to what it was. Photos and menu are what is WAS like!
Now the Eggs 'Benedict' had no muffin...or even toast! The eggs were overcooked...not the slightest bit runny! Instead of bacon (was free range, locally produced before) got slices of roast pork which was dry and almost unpleasant. The coffee was very ordinary. The 'freshly squeezed' (maybe) orange juice was OK....but so it should be at $9!
I am REALLY hoping this was just a glitch. I always looked forward to my breakfast stop here.
Had lunch on ny eve. Absolutely beautiful location. Food was ok, service friendly and attentive. Next time i would byo picnic by the river and grab coffee and cake from river deck.
