We reached Albury at about 8.20pm and most of the shops are already closed. We wanted to have some sushi at the nearby shop, but at 8.20pm, their kitchen was already all packed.
Out of quite a desperate situation, we hopped over to Newstart Noodle for dinner. I can see that they were already packed for the day, the floor was already mopped. Thankfully, they were willing to cook for us and re-clean everything after that. This gesture was very much appreciated on a winter late night.
The food was acceptable! I had laksa noodles which I really enjoyed the hot soup with the generous amount of veggies and seafood in it. We also order combo noodle, spicy fried rice and another noodle. The taste of the dishes were nice. We actually slurped them up rather quickly.
The person also waited patiently for us to finish our food. Thanks so much!
This is a little noodle shop with big flavors. Quick service and reasonable prices. Fresh ingredients and lots of menus choice. It is mostly a takeaway restaurant so there is only 6 inside seats and 8 outside seats. I had the beef in black beans sauce and enjoyed every morsel or it. The 3 main menu choices are noodles, rice and soups yet there are many more other choices such as dim sims, buns, vegies pancakes and spring rolls. There are no toilet facilities and there is 1 step up into the shop to note for those in wheelchairs.
The taste of the food is amazing. I always have the combo noodles which is the best I feel like. Friendly and well behaved owner. Highly recommend!!
