Great friendly service and homestyle food. I love the classic Aldgate special pizza, thin style with extra artichokes!! Definelty my cheat meal :) The love and passion that is put into this place really makes for an inviting restaurant to dine in or even grab some takeaway from. As a local customer, I love the close proximity, however, I recommend anyone from near and far to come enjoy the atmosphere. All in all, the Aldgate Cafe is defiantly my personal favourite cafe in the hills. Shoutout to the owners and lovely staff who keep it running smoothy!!
Love the Veal Cotaletta! Get it with Bolognese Sauce, always a winner! Been coming here for years, support local, I like their Pasta too! worth a look in
A great place to relax. We often eat at the Aldgate Cafe. I like their fresh salads and the fresh vegetables on the pizzas which are not overcooked. It is a relaxing , easy place to drop in to. Particularly on a night when it is warm enough to sit out by the creek.The homemade cake is delicious . We rarely wait very long for our order.
My friends enjoy the spicy meat dish "Diabalo", but perhaps the other meat dishes need more tender meat and a less cheesy sauce.
Many of the staff are quiet country people , but we do not expect the cooking staff to be stand-up comics, a cheerful, efficient person on the front counter is enough.
I do not understand the very negative reviews.
Amazing! I love this place!. I go here whenever I can, been going here for years and I've never been disappointed. Friendly family vibe, really good quality pizza with delish toppings. So affordable too. A few good wines to choose from make this place ideal. Sititng outside in their stunning garden next to the creek with a Calzone and a vino = heaven.
No it's not pretentious but it is friendly and good value. The food is not Gordon blue but it IS tasty. The desserts are often very good cakes or puddings and homemade. It has an above average selection of beers and wine at very reasonable prices.
As a part time local. I was introduced by locals. I have enjoyed the food the 12 or so times I have been. Tried most of the menu. All good food. Staff always have been good to my findings. Not sure what the bad reviews are on about!!

Tucked away in Historic Aldgate is a delightful Pizzeria. Aldgate Cafe is a pleasant surprise, charming interior decor and stunning alfresco dining at rear, amongst flowers and lush greenery, beside a tinkling stream.
The menu is varied with an excellent range of pizza's and pasta's, which include Vegetarian, Thai and Calzone Rustico, also a range of bruschetta, Salads, cotoletta, scaloponi, cakes, pastries and Gelati.
Our choices, Seafood Marinara Fettuccini, and an Aldgate Special Pizza. Both were of a very generous size, tasty and appetizing, presenting excellent value for money. We were in no hurry to leave, relaxed and enjoyed the ambience with a finishing coffee. Will call again.
Excellent. One of the best pizza places in Adelaide. A nice location and really good value food, the pizzas are great (their new meatlovers in particular is amazing) and the service is always good.
Definitely recommended for a quiet meal with friends or family.

Great food, after a big day at work it was exactly what we needed for dinner. With cheap delivery and very reasonable prices (especially for the size of the meal). This was amazing.
