Came here for a family dinner and really loved it! The slow cooked meat is beautiful and sides were not too bad either. Excellent beer menu as well!! Really good place to bring a group. Casual atmosphere and good value food - large servings for decent price. Definitely a great spot for meat lovers - would not bring a vegetarian here!

Great little joint to visit after you’ve hit the beautiful Alexandra Headland beach! It’s right near the beach, just over the sand dunes. Plenty of seating available and such a great atmosphere. It’s always lovely to see a Queensland business supporting local produce, this place serves up brews from Green Beacon (Newfarm) and Fortitude Valley Ginger Beer. The squid salad came out so much bigger than what I was expecting. The beans were just delicious with almonds and feta! Totally recommend that you drop by this summer!!!
We stayed in Sunshine Coast recently and headed to Black Bunny for some food and drinks. We ordered the Fried Chicken, Ribs, Fries and Corn bread. The corn bread was amazing! came out warm and crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the rib meat was falling off the bone. Yum! We only ordered entree dishes as we werent super hungry and we were both super full. On the pricier side but the food is really good.
Dined for a degustation dinner with rare Belgian style beers. Each course was fine food like abalone, bone marrow, oysters and scallops with a myriad of rare garnishes. Individually they were all super delicious and the beers were amazing. Combined though some didn't match too well and left my palate overwhelmed at times. Next time I'm holidaying on the coast I will drop by for a burger and some more great beers
Really nice relaxed place. My husband thought Black bunny was going to be a girly cafe and presently surprised when he saw good beer and a smoker. Really spacious inside and beautiful how it backs onto resort pool. It gives it some water and greenery. The staff were friendly. The food was delicious. The beef brisket was tender and mouth watering. The sweet potato fries were nicely salted. The Southern fried chicken didn't taste that Southern fried it just tasted like fried chicken but the sauce was nice we had the alabama white sauce. My husband was super impressed with the beers there.
Great place and awesome vibe for drinks and share plates. Can't really fault for a fun night out went with a group of friends and drank & ate till our hearts were content keep it up guys!
The Black Bunny Kitchen (and Bar) is fast becoming a favourite venue. Enjoyed a great breakfast on Sunday, Fat Kid was to die for with a very ample serving and my partner enjoyed the unusual but very tasty Kimchi Pancake. Service was excellent and when an off wine list Bloody Mary was ordered, the manager went out to purchase the tomato juice from the local store and made one of the best Bloody Marys that I have enjoyed, many other restaurants should take this as an example of fantastic service. This one is a keeper!
Friendly staff, plenty of seating. Moderately priced menu, but good food for the price.
Car parking available out the back. Overall, a pleasant experience!
These guys know great food, great beer and good coffee. Been here three times in the last two days - once for a breakfast meeting, once for after dinner munchies and drinks, and once for coffee. Each time the service was friendly, the food and drinks were top notch, and the vibe the best on the Sunny Coast. Get your Bunny on!
I had the chicken salad- was so delicious with macadamia nuts and picked cucumber! Not your normal chicken salad but very flavorsome. Also good choice of "different" drinks- try the Jamaican ginger beer- yum!!! Great, casual venue- friendly staff. Good place for late arvo bite to eat when all...
My family and I go to Black Bunny quite often and it always feels like home. We are so welcomed, catered for and relaxed during each visit. My mum Michelle & I love sitting out by the pool. I've even managed to encourage my friends to host events there just to eat the food (guilty). Service is great, beer is better but overall its nice being able to converse genuinely. Good people they are.
This place is an absolute gem in a beautiful location. The staff here really know how to welcome visitors and treat them as part of their obviously very close family. It really is a beautiful, warm experience feeling so welcomed by the kindest and friendliest of people. The food here is of a high standard yet prices are very reasonable amd affordable. Plenty of nice seating inside and out, to suit the needs of everyone, including an outside area overlooking a lagoon pool which is lovely and relaxing. I honestly cannot fault this place and not would not want to. If you are ever in the area and haven't visited Black Bunny before, you have to stop in for a visit and bite to eat - it will soon become your favourite place to eat and relax, just like it did for me and my family 👍😊
Beautiful setting lends atmosphere from neighbouring Breakfree resort pool. Classic menu options for breakfast, coffee could have been better but can't complain.
Ordered a take out,though I don't think it is a core component of the business.
I was delayed in getting to the location.
And I had asked for an item that was a variation on their standard fare.
A steak sandwich with extras,,,
Despite all this, the food was very good when we did eventually get to eat.
One criticism though,the steak in the steak sandwiches was tough.
I suspect it was taken straight from the freezer and put on the grill.
If that was not the case I would suggest they look for another supplier
But their service and willingness to go the extra mile can't be faulted
Staff are lovely. extremely accommodating for dietary requirements and the food is delicious. Went for both dinner and breakfast and will definitely be back for sure!
Absolutely beautiful meals, great value for money. Staff were wonderful and welcoming. We are on holidays from Hervey Bay and we will be back! Thanks for great meals with a great atmosphere!
