My friends and I tried La Petite Souris today for the first time.....the lemon tart that I had was spectacular......it was the nicest lemon tart I have ever eaten. My friends also commented on how lovely their choices were also. The coffee was great and so was the service staff......we will certainly be back........

As soon as we booked our Sunshine Coast holiday Airbnb in the Alexandra Headlands area, I knew I'd be hitting up La Petite Souris, thanks to seeing it featured multiple times in a friend's IG stories.

Unfortunately I'm not enough of an early bird to get there in the morning, so only managed to drop by around noon to pick up some items to supplement some other food our group already had lined to for lunch. Some things like the sausage rolls had sold out by then, and there were only 2 pies left.

Items we sampled:
* almond croissant, 1 plain and 1 chocolate, $6.50 each
* danish, 1 rhubarb and 1 pear, $6.50 each
* pies (can't remember what the difference was in the two we got), $8 each

It would be another 40-odd minutes before we walked the food home and sat down to eat these baked goods along with the rest of our lunch. The pastries were still pretty good but next time I'll want to

1. get there earlier
2. on an emptier stomach
3. without so much sharing
4. eat my purchases sooner.

Came here twice on holidays and loved it! The coffee was A+ and the pastries were delicious. I’ll look forward to my next holiday just to come back here!

Fabulous artisan patisserie

This popular beach side patisserie produces sensational pastries, coffees and baguettes. The food in the display cabinet looks fabulous and tastes amazing! We visited this patisserie on the recommendation of our apartment host and liked it so much that we came back the next morning for more. This is truly an artisan bakery - the food is made with quality ingredients and with love and pride. We envy the lucky Sunshine Coast residents who don't have to travel far to get a taste of France!

Great selection of fancy cakes, pastries etc. It's hidden away so a lot of people don't know about it. Next to the Spar supermarket. Good coffee too btw.

Beautiful little French Patisserie!

They have a great selection of classic and authentic pastries, breads and savouries, as well as some creations that change from time. There are also some stunning desserts/cakes if you have a sweet tooth! I’ve tried their Nutella doughnut, a few danishes, brioche, blue cheese quiche and almond croissant.. All of which were absolutely delicious and met my expectations. (Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos!)

My stand out item would have to be the classic almond croissant- light, yet buttery layers of pastry, just perfectly sweet enough, gorgeous almond filling and generously topped with slivered almonds!! (Trust me, I’ve tried A LOT of almond croissants).

The fit out is very simple, but I like the quiet and relaxed environment (I’ve only visited during weekday mornings). Just a lovely spot for a morning coffee or afternoon treat! The staff are always friendly and you get a sneak peek into what goes in to make these creations, with the chefs working in the open kitchen behind.

TLDR;
Food: 5/5
Environment: could be improved
Service: prompt, with a smile
Would recommend: 10/10

Will absolutely visit again during my next trip to the Sunshine Coast. Great potential, this patisserie is going to do amazing. Thank you for the lovely experience. Il est bien fait!

This is a place you don’t want to miss. Just the thought of an almond croissant like the ones they sell there… it makes you want to have breakfast again and again. I am not French, but my French friends say it’s really good. Go and have a look, it’s busy because it’s worth it. You pay for what you get, it’s all flavour, buttery and creamy, all the pastries look great, but believe me they also taste amazing. Grab one and a coffee to go, you will arrive anywhere with a smile in your face.

I never knew this place existed, parked near by while I was heading for a walk and went in for a look after, got a takeaway coffee and quiche, wow what a treat incredible flavours the best takeaway I have had for a while!! Sort of glad I don't live too close I would be buying sweets all the time 😳. Definitely will visit again!

This place was amazing. Sooo many nice pastries to pick. We had an almond crosaint- the best ever, a Berry muffin, nothing like I've had before, soo much fruit inside and another tartlett. Absolutely worth going to if your at the Sunshine Coast.

A delightful trip to France. Pure traditional patisserie: gourmet or family style. It is perfect! Awesome to see the French heritage shared 17000 km away from its base! Lovely team as well. The boutique has a great look : modern and traditional. A nice terrasse not to waste a minute before having a bliss with a croissant, a croque monsieur or a delicate cake. Can’t recommend it enough!

Arrived here for morning Tea and was glad we finally got here. Wherever we go I always like to hunt down a Good Patisserie with a French Pastry chef. We had the Lychee love, the Pash-on & the zesty lemon Tart..They were all awesome but the Lychee love stood out the most - Just so refreshing! So deciding whether to come back later we decided to retrieve some goodies for mummy - So brought home the Delicious Fig Tart, Cool As & the Lychee love.. but couldn’t resist a delicious looking Pear Brioche.. Being Fairy free (if it’s worthwhile I happily suffer hours later) I had the Almond Flat white which was beautiful.. Thank you guys for the fantastic food !!

Chef selection is so good strongly recommand to everyone u can taste so many different small desserts even though its a bit pricy comparing to the other ones Croissants are crunchy on the outside and soft and moist inside not too sweet Brioche is a bit dry though The slightly burnt flavour of the baguette is nice balanced with the sandwich filling Loving the strong vanilla flavour of the custard

La Petite Souris just opposite the beach at Alexandra Headlands is a wonderland of patisserie. Friendly convivial staff and a huge range of sweet and savoury foods make this a worthwhile visit. There's room to sit out in the morning sun with coffee and your feast. It's set in an accommodation block back from the noisy road with plenty of parking , which is an absolute plus. After your meal , cross over to the beach and walk it off. You can always head back for baguettes or croque Monsieur later. Bon appetit! This is a must- do when you're on the Sunny Coast.
