Loved this place! We did the 3 Courses Lunch on Sunday, and they were all amazing. Intense but simple flavors. And Fiona's and Matteo's service was excellent! The French and Italian selection of wine was very interesting and the place was very family-warm... it really made you feel at home (como en casa). Totally recommend it and would go back every month if I could! Thank you very much!

My husband & I did the Masterclass today & we can not stop talking about it & how much we learned while having so much fun!! It was so informative, the people who own Casa Carboni (Fiona & Matteo) are fabulous particularly Matteo who is a great teacher with lots of humour. It feels like your cooking somewhere very comfortable & at home. I have to say that the pumpkin ravioli with parmasen & sage butter is close to the most delicious thing we have ever can't wait to get our pasta presser & start making our creations for our friends & family & also teaching our little girl how to make pasta! We will be be back! Love the Mandranis'

We had the best day learning to make potato gnocchi, piadina and tagliatelle. Super easy and fun, and an incredibly nourishing feast at the end. Thanks so much.

I spent a highly enjoyable and hands-on Sunday doing a Pasta Master Class in this absolute gem of a place. Matteo was a quick-witted and passionate teacher, and Fiona a welcoming host. I am sure I'll be back for another course, and next time I'm on a day trip to the Barossa I'll be calling in for lunch and to browse the store. Looking forward to putting the new skills to practice in the kitchen. Grazie mille!

We were tasting wine all around Barossa and Adelaide Hills that weekend, and this was by far our best pitstop! Wonderful pasta, energitic and inspiring cooking paired with a large shelf with a great mix of classic as well as tasty organic and biodynamic wines!

A wonderful 4 hour experience & a day we’ll never forget! COVID ruined our chance of a cooking class in Tuscany last year but after discovering & attending Matteo’s cooking class last week, it was as though we were there! Matteo & Fiona provide an authentic Italian experience in the heart of their own restaurant’s kitchen. Matteo patiently & humorously demonstrated & guided us through the meticulous, hands-on preparation of 4 delicious courses from start to finish including: a baked zucchini flan; the lightest, fluffiest potato gnocchi you’ll ever taste, swimming in a divine beef Ragu that simmered for 2 & a half hours; THE most incredible ravioli stuffed with spinach & goat’s curd coated with a silky butter & sage sauce & for dessert, a mouthwatering baked panacotta... yum!!!!! After we prepared the meals, they were all cooked & served to us in the last hour in the restaurant, paired with the most incredible Italian wines. Preparing, kneading & rolling out our own pasta through the machine was a definite highlight of the day but learning so many cooking tips from an experienced chef like Matteo was invaluable. Casa Carboni’s cooking class is a must-do activity when visiting the Barossa. We will certainly be spreading the word! Thank you again Matteo & Fiona for an everlasting, memorable day.

My wife and I had a brilliant time taking a cooking class. They have a nice selection of euro wine and do some great coffee, so highly recommend just going to eat if a cooking class isn't your thing

We used a voucher that we got for our 30th to go to a cooking class last weekend. Absolutely worthwhile! Matteo and Fiona were great! From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with a coffee, eased into the kitchen and then guided through 4 different dishes, to be enjoyed with a glass of wine afterwards. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend to anyone!

My partner and I joined 7 others in learning the art of making fresh pasta and gnocchi. Once made we all sat down and ate what we created.. Matteo and Fiona were the perfect host to what was a very memorable day. Grazie!

Arriving in the sleepy town of Angaston, on a lovely Sunday morning and entering casa carboni, with a welcoming sense of warmth and homeliness set the scene for a lovely cooking experience. Matteo with his quintessential style of fluid Italian flair made us feel as if we were in the heart of Tuscany! Delicious quality food, well presented, thought through delivery and sensational wines. A lovely event for couples to bond, meet new people and experience warm Italian hospitality.

During a 3 week vacation in Australia I took a cooking class from Matteo Carboni, co-owner (with his wife Fiona) of Casa Carboni, in the Barossa Valley. Matteo and Fiona recently opened Casa Carboni in Angaston and I'm glad they did; this cooking class was a highlight from my vacation that I'll always remember. Matteo is a talented chef and a patient instructor. The 3-hour hands-on class covered 4 types of pasta, including sauces for each. Of course the best part was eating (accompanied by wonderful Italian wine of course) my creations with Matteo and Fiona. The quality of the ingredients, facility, and instruction were excellent. Matteo and Fiona were knowledgable, friendly, and made me feel at ease from the minute I opened the door. Great people, great experience.
