Nice place, sweet waitress, The owner looks like Guy Ritchieđ
Me & my husband are regular customers and we love the fact that all the fish is sustainably caught with no damage to the environment.
Never been disappointed. Particularly love the Curry, Tacos and Battered fish & chips. Also the Alaskan Salmon is to die for.
Fish & Co offer sustainable and quality seafood!
The raspberry daiquiri was so so good! The bartender has some serious skill and customer service.
We werenât extremely hungry on the initial visit and decided to share a few dishes. I highly suggest ordering the prawn tacos! So delicious! We also tried the Salmon bowl and potato fries - yum!
The food is so good that I visited twice in one week! Taking my partner back to order the grilled seafood share plate! I love that the seafood isnât oily.
The only reason Fish & Co arenât receiving 5 stars is due to the a little error made by the waitress. I totally understand that sometimes mistakes happen and Iâm not one to complain. However the waitress took an order for two bowls and we only ordered one. Staff seemed frustrated that we sent one of the bowls back and I felt a little uncomfortable.
We werenât provided with small plates for sharing, I ended up asking the bartender for some plates.
Nice restaurant ambience, good lighting and decoration. The chairs were quite odd looking.
The dish that we ordered seem pretty organic and healthy, maybe that explains the cost, pretty pricy. The salad was fresh, fish was good. Good meal, but for big eaters, you will never get full on the main dish.
I absolutely love Fish & Co, I love that I can eat seafood that has been responsibly sourced and that I'm eating  sustainable seafood.  On top of that I love the atmosphere and the service is so friendly and just right!  Best of all I love the food!!!  The Fish Taco's are devine!!  My daughter practically inhaled the Alaskan Salmon it was soo good.  I recently tried the Seafood Curry and it was delicious and a huge serving.  This is not just a fish and chip place (however that do do fish and chips beautifully).  This is a place where the food is brought to your table with care and thoughtfulness.  You know you are eating good fish, you know it's sustainable seafood and to top it off its cooked beautifully and tastes delicious.  And my other favourite is the Fish Pate, which I also buy on the way out so that I can take a bit of Fish & Co home.  Thanks Fish & Co for making Seafood so enjoyable !!
Can not rate 'Fish and Co' high enough.
My husband and I have visited Fish and Co quite frequently over the years. Not only do we prefer to eat sustainably, but we thoroughly enjoy the diverse and interesting menu options.
We visited the new establishment for the third time recently with friends, and despite the staff managing huge numbers coming through the door, we were incredibly impressed how they maintained their professional, warming and ever so friendly nature.
Our friends all loved their meals, and were surprised how expeditious the meals were in arriving at the table.
More importantly, the food is AMAZING!! I look forward to coming back every time I leave!
I honestly cannot get enough of the fish cakes with a chilli like dipping sauce, and the wild Alaskan salmon is heaven!!
Thanks Fish and Co! Keep doing what you are doing!!!
Despite the bad layout of the carpark and seemingly rich parking fees, there is a pretty decent reason to visit Tramsheds, this being Fish and Co. They have a long standing reputation since operating in Annandale and after visiting their new restaurant this appears to be continuing. Walking down the main entry ramp, its hard to miss the ceiling mounted timber boat, complete with dazzling fish illuminated with beautiful blue hues. Symbolic you may think, as Fish and Co focus on sustainable producers who supply wild caught seafood to make sure all of the number of fish floating beneath that boat don't dwindle.
For this, you are paying what some might deem a premium. I like to think you get what you pay for with most things in life, and Fish and Co really hit the mark and live up to perceived prices, as the quality extends beyond the food, hitting high notes in service, options and overall experience. You're also not at your local takeaway grabbing an oily-battered piece of shark to eat on the way home.
We were easy walk ins, late and midweek, so only joined a few diners who soon departed. There's a mix of seating options with high and low tables, and the dining arrangement is not dissimilar to the Sydney cafe scene and as such, a little tight. There is low lighting and alongside the small restaurant it makes for a cosy little setting. The service is prompt, yet cool and casual in style. They have Printhie wines on tap, which are a quality drop. Vermentino with our dinner works well and extremely good value at $8 a glass which I find relatively rare in Sydney without it being plain awful.
Seafood pate ($17) has a thick and rich consistency, and not fibrous like a salmon/trout rillette as you would expect. Sourdough is well toasted, and pickled cabbage and cucumber cut through the density. The Cod taco ($8.50) is the easy return pick. Cod is hot, juicy, firm and golden, looking all very pretty with greens from avocado and red cabbage. A little hard to manage - like most tacos yet probably the best fish version I've ever experienced. The battered NZ Hoki ($23) is fleshy and moist, and the batter is crispy and not too thick. Chips are addictive, as is the complex tartare to the point we could have done with far more sauce. Like the taco, the salt and pepper squid ($18) is the best I've had. Its salty, its peppery, its also crispy-crunchy and the squid is not overcooked or chewy. There's a delightful onion-like aioli, but with so much flavor sitting in the squid its more of a luxury than a necessity. The bean salad ($14) is light and refreshing amongst all the fried food. Beans are cooked well yet retain crunch, and the wildrice and quinoa features the odd pepita or two, chickpeas, and a chimichurri like dressing and is well seasoned.
All the dishes was amazing. We ordered crumbled hake with asparagus, 3 prawn cakes., Australian fish of the day. TBH , I dont know what type of fish it was, but tastes nice. I'm sure all the raw seafood materials were fresh based on the sense of taste of the seafood meat. The last one was Lobster roll with fried sweet potatoes. Hahah. Fried sweet potatoes is much better than fried chips.. !!
But the price was a bit expensive for me maybe because of the special location. I still recommend this restaurant. That's why I rated 4.0.
The latest incarnation of this sustainable fisheries focused restaurant is a big improvement on the little old place in Annandale. The original low profile, homely atmosphere has been replaced by a slick, upmarket design with an new set of glam clientele bustling to get in to the recently opened Tramsheds development. I had the amazing fish tacos with a side of chips, fresh out of the fryer. Prices seem to have gone up a little and there were few choices for smaller, more affordable meals. Service was good though I could see some customers being forgotten on a very busy day.
enthusiastic, passionately sustainable produce... i went to fish & co with my family on a regular basis when it was in annandale, and we loved it - great service, open at family friendly times, with great food... the owner is a really interesting man, who's been crusading for sustainable harvesting for much longer than it's been popular.
now that it's moved to the tramsheds, the rent has gone up, and it's a little less family friendly, but still the same great food. it'd be wonderful if dinner was served from 5 on weekends, but we'll see if demand helps that to happen.
A really nice surprise. We picked the place completely randomly and we loved it.
Great seafood that couldn't be fresher. The
scallops were the best I had in a while - paired with almonds which is brilliant. Definitely the highlight for me.
I recommend the Vongole fettucine as although a very simple dish the flavours were spot-on.
Cherry on the top, really good cocktails too.
The venue has a cool vibe and intimate due to the place. We will go back.
Every dish was delish!!! The only downside was the very slow service but yet friendly...
The Spanish Style Garlic Prawns are mouth watering, Fish n Chips are amazing and prwan tacos are so yummy!
Trendy location and nicely decorated restaurant. Our dishes did take quite some time to come out. Waitress apologised for the wait and explained that their kitchen was short staffed that night. Lobster pasta was yummy.
We recently happened across Fish and Co at Tramsheds on a recent holiday to Australia, and I am so pleased we did! It was great to get out of the city centre, and the building itself is epic! Loved seeing the old tram and the hustle and bustle of all the different restaurants and bars under one roof. Fish and Co offered such a great menu of our favourite fish dishes, my only complaint was we didnât get to try more! The tuna and seaweed nachos were such a great twist on a classic, but all the food was delicious. The wine list was also really well put together - we loved the sparkling rose. Wishing we could return very soon.
Enjoyed a nice Motherâs Day lunch at Fish and Co. sashimi, oysters, and fish were all fresh. Wait staff and were very helpful. Would go back đ
Fresh, amazing tasting food. There are a few vegan and vegetarian options to choose from as well.
My companions loved their fish fillets, they were so fresh and tasty and flavourful.
The vegetarian dumplings were delicious and so fresh! The Hot Chips were some of the best I've ever had!! YUMMM
Incredible friendly and welcoming service. They go above and beyond to make your visit an amazing experience.
The seating is comfortable and spacious in an authentic rustic warm feeling sea-side vibe. The decor and attention to detail was on point.
The only negative is that the food is so so so expensive for really small serving sizes which was a bit of a disappointment. I came in starving and after paying 24 dollars for one dish and a side, I was still really hungry. They don't really put much on your plate especially for the high prices.
Overall I had a great experience here, but I probably won't come back because I don't want to pay such high prices for barely any food on my plate :(
