Made a booking for 7.30pm, Arrived at 7 and there was plenty of tables to choose from so they happily accommodated us. We ordered the Squid for entree, the Canadina for main and a rose and a lemon lime and bitters. This came to $55 and was worth it. The entree squid was quite large and very filling. It came with a lovely aioli and was of good quality. Unfortunately it was heavily battered so it lacked a lil bit of flavour. I think this dish would have been better if it came with a wedge of lemon and had a bit more salt on it but it was quite nice and I would happily eat it again. The Pizza was large and was a combination of Italian sausage, fior di latte & potato. It was a good size two and didn't lack toppings either. Whilst the pizza was nice it too lacked a bit of flavour. I think if they added some rosemary/thyme and some more salt it would have been better but it was cooked well. The staff were very nice too. When we came in they seated us and served us entree and main quite quickly but as more and more people kept coming in it seemed like they forgot about us, We didn't get brought the dessert menu either so after 15mins of waiting we kind of gave up and left which is a shame because the dessert options looked quite good. We will be back. Decor was quite nice too with polished concrete floors and exposed brick. The pasta and prosciutto pizzas eaten by our neighbours seemed to also go down a treat. Will be back to try these out :D
This place is quite small , I think they have 2 levels. We had a entree and pizza for dinner which was decent. I did enjoy our meal and the service we received was not bad.
My fiancée and I held our engagement party in the upstairs
function area of Osteria Antica. We were thoroughly impressed with the
comfortable, cosy atmosphere that the venue provided indoors and on the outdoor
balcony which was set up for the night too. Dustin, Dominic and the rest of the
staff on the night were extremely well prepared and ensured the night ran
smoothly from start the finish. We were very happy with how the night went and
our guests commended the quality of the venue and the food and drinks which
were provided. We will definitely be back again.
First time visiting with 2 adults and 4 children. Although the menu is small every dish we ordered was perfect. We had 2 seafood pastas, 2 gnocchi Riviera and 2 pizzas and all were so fresh and delicious. What really gave this place 5 stars were the friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them even when we sent one of the pizzas back. Would definitely go again and recommend to my friends. Thanks for a wonderful night.
I recently booked two large groups here for dinner. The second dinner was for around 30 people and we were allocated the whole upstairs area exclusively. The service was excellent, very attentive, and the food was very authentically Italian. We had sit down set menus for both nights and there was more than enough food. The space was also warm and cosy, and we had the balcony area as well. Highly recommended. Bravo!
The polenta chips with four cheese aioli are superb, and so moreish. You won’t want to share. The pizzas are also great, as is the house made gnocchi, and the upstairs dining room has a beautiful ambience with its sandstone walls and dark wood furniture. The garlic loaf is perhaps a somewhat misleading menu description of what ultimately turns out to be a garlic and cheese pizza.
The gnocchi here was so so delicious, it reminded me of mac and cheese but so much better. All the entrees were delicious (but would recommend the arancini balls). The staff were very kind and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice.
Thank you to the team at Osteria Antica! We held a birthday function in your beautiful upstairs area on Saturday night and everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly. The food was delicious and plentiful and many guests have commented on how wonderful the food and venue was. The Italian wines suggested were also thoroughly enjoyed. All the staff were brilliant! Their relaxed yet attentive manner helped make the function run smoothly. We will definitely be back!
We held an event at Osteria Antica and would definitely recommend. The ambiance was lovely, the food was delicious and plentiful - we had a really great night. Thankyou for your flexibility, and to your staff on the night! We'll be back again soon.
Mama Mia papa pia, this pizza so was so good I could just kill myself!! This was osteriout of this world lol. The pizza? Mmm yeah just lika mama used ta make. The pasta would be enough to make any nonna fall down the stairs! And don't get me started on the Wait staff, who farted in my tiramisu like any authentic italiano cucina should! Or so ive been told, but who am I to argue with tradition.
Only issue is they don't sell curry. Other than that gooooooooood restaurant
