Review North Annandale Hotel - Annandale

There's not much of a vibe to the pub itself, being more of the commercial variety than the cheerful local joint, but the selection of drinks was good, the service friendly, and the food surprisingly good. The fish & chips doesn't look like much but the fish itself actually had a great flavour and the battery was lovely and light. For $17 as a lunch deal, I was very happy with it.

I organised my work Christmas party (2021) to be held here. I liaised with the bistro owner Michael and he was fantastic. The communication was on point. There were 36 of my colleagues in attendance and we had the outdoor/indoor space which created the perfect atmosphere especially with covid times and wanting some fresh air/ventilation. The food was absolutely amazing. My colleagues loved their meals. The steaks were cooked to perfection (even the one “well done” was great). The gnocchi was great as well (Italians are fussy with their pasta so this passed the test). Great portions and value for money. I would definitely recommend this venue for small group functions.

Good food at a high quality. Lots of good drinks to choose from also. The pub is immaculate. Good variety of inside and outside spaces. Each area has its own vibe. I really like it here.

A year that I have just been to this pub close to my place, Annandale. Always get quality good food especially steaks, perfect cook and fresh salad, another menu you can trust them. Clean, covid safe, nice gaming room, kids friendly, many function rooms and great atmosphere. A shame we have known a long time ago. Highly recommended, I come every week.

Great selection of beers. Food is good - big servings. Staff are very accommodating. Chilled out pub that can take the family to without issues.

There's something about the pub grub algorithm that is very appealing for time constrained dinners. You pitch up without a booking. There is a stable menu of staples. You pay upfront for everything, and tip BEFORE you receive service, which is an interesting exercise in motivation, and you leave at the time of your choosing, essentially as soon as the meeting wraps up. Works for me, and North Annandale runs very smoothly, bar, then lounge, then dining, logical sequence. Easy to find. On street parking hugely better than similar venues in Paddo or Woollahra, just as easy to get to from Nth shore, City, easier from South and West, and since the X-City tunnel, pretty easy from the East.

Sorry guys, really average experience tonight. Had an okay experience previously and likely the atmosphere, but tonight was just disappointing. The kitchen Got our order completely wrong - after waiting 45 mins for a steak and a schnitzel. Food was very average relative to price paid. Ruined our night. Sorry Won’t be back.

Good beer, great setting,watch the passing parade on Johnston Street or watch the footy on multiple TV's. Comfortable and inviting.

Had an awful experience ordered the chicken schnitzel took 1 hour and a half to come out mind you it was not busy at all. Schnitzel came and felt and looked like it had come straight off the shelf no love in the food pre packaged! Will defiantly not be attending again not worth the $23 and the wait no Way!!

There are loads of really great things about this place. But their vegan food range is poor. Let us have some vegan protein!!

I would give this 5 stars if it wasn't for a member of the kitchen staff with an extremely unpleasant attitude. Clearly she's well and truly over hospitality - anyways enough of the bad stuff and onto the good - very last minute I needed to book a space inside as my daughters park birthday was rained out - all the staff were so helpful and ensured we had plenty of room and were so attentive. Fantastic spot for a kids birthday!!! Thank you all very much for being so lovely and making it a stress free event!

Had a great meal which was the pork belly. It has been awhile since I have been here. Loved the new dining area and outside space!

Great family bistro, nice and clean play area and a perfect place for a family meal. The kids love it and beg to go all the time.

Really disappointed. We got there at 7:00pm on a Sunday and when we lined up to order we were told they were out of chicken. How does that happen on a Sunday night?? One of the people we were with doesnt like hot food but really wanted a burger minus the jalapeño aioli. She asked for just straight aioli or mayo but we were told 'sorry cant do that'. Attitude deluxe from the kitchen who had 3 people working. With no more than about 25 patrons the food took over 70 minutes to come out, nothing special just basic burgers and chips and a steak. Wont be back, plenty more friendly and appealing pubs to eat at in the area.

Awesome food. Especially love the specials menu that lets the kitchen staff show their "mojo". We loved the variety available. Will be back :)
