Kashi without doubt the best Indian food I have eaten. We moved here from Adelaide in the beginning of 2015 and as avid lovers of Indian cuisine we searched the best Indian in Sydney, Kashi came up in the list. Living so close we decided to give it a go....I wouldn't eat anywhere else, in fact if I had to drive an hour to get here to eat the food that's what I would do. We are regulars here now and I can say this place is always packed and is frequented by many Indians, this demonstrates to me that the food must me good. Congratulations to the owners and the staff for outstanding food, service, warm atmosphere and ambience that Kashi exudes...you will never lose us as loyal patrons and we will always bring our friends to Kashi to experience the fantastic food. A massive thumbs up from us
We went for dinner on last Mother's day with my family , to be honest the best indian food we ever had in sydney & served by a very friendly girl jyoti, she explained us the whole menu & dishes, so if anyone like the fine dining and delicious indian meal I'd definitely recommend this place & cant wait visit again soon.

Tried their naan, rice, salmon dopiaza, koshaa mangsho, paneer masala and matka kulfi. Apart from the rice which was a bit hard everything was on point. Beautiful flavours and very authentic. No fusion , no twist, no experiments, pure old Indian food - a rare phenomena in Sydney. The naan is one of the best I had and the matka kulfi is highly highly recommended. Actually everything is recommended. After almost all Indian restaurants failed me I have finally found my favourite one.
This is probably the best Indian restaurant in the Sydney area that I have been to. Located away from everything, in Annangrove, it's quite a trek to get here, but once you do, you are pleasantly surprised.
I almost always have the garlic naan and the butter chicken. The butter chicken is the right consistency and the flavor of the gravy is perfectly balanced. The chicken pieces are actually chicken tikka, the way it should be. The prawn masala is also quite nice. For desserts, you can't go past the matka kulfi, which is fantastic.. Recommended for a special night out!
A very enjoyable night out. Staff are very attentive, handing out table water and menus immediately. They know what each menu item is and how it is served.
Note, curries do not come with basmati rice, a bowl is added at $7 but easily serves 3 people.
Delicious meals, butter chicken and seafood mix curry with rice was great. Naan was absolutely delicious, did not even need to be dipped.
Will return eventually. If you plan on going, remember to book minimum one day in advance.
Really good Indian food, possibly the best I've had in Australia! $26 average for a curry which is on the pricey side but still delicious. Restaurant could do with a bit of a freshen up, entrance is a little underwhelming. I'd definitely go back.
What a great restaurant, service was absolutely spot on. First visit and made to feel like a regular. Food was really good, I will ask for dish to be a bit hotter next time. We sat next to the two traditional musicians but we could still talk in comfort without the music being too loud, but it set a great mood. Thanks Arun for a wonderful night.

Thx so much to the team @ Kashi for putting on a fabulous night. The food was fabulous esp the butter chicken. Could not fault the service. Recommend it to all.
Very Smart. If you live local you don't have to drive far to enjoy a great meal, if you have to drive a bit it will be well worth it. I find the food a bit too 'westernised' but will therefore appeal to most people. There is a great mix of dishes on offer. The scollops for entree are amazing. The service is always good and attentive. Often they will even have a sitar player in the corner which really adds to the atmosphere. My wife finds the food a bit rich for her liking so she doesn't need to eat much. The kids always enjoy the night and like going there. If you like Indian food you will love this place!
We visited Kashi restaurant for dinner. Our initial reaction was one of disappointment. We wanted to have the “Banquet” menu but found out that it requires a minimum of 4 adults in the table ordering the banquet and we were just 2 adults and a child.
Anyways, once the food started to arrive the disappointment faded away. Each and every dish we ordered was delicious and the spice level was as requested. The taste was similar to what you would get at a really good restaurant in India, very authentic.
Only complaint I have is about the size of the servings. I felt it was 25% less than ideal and left me not as full as I would have been ordering similar dishes at any other restaurant. Also, not too much choice for both veg and non veg.
The ambiance is average, nothing much to write about. Basic to the extent that it literally makes you feel you are in India! The staff could have been a bit more welcoming and courteous. The music was non existent.
They had few other stuff like tea pots, tea, etc on sale.
We went on a Wednesday and almost all of the 10 odd tables were occupied. Good to book your table before going.
There was sufficient parking on campus.
Bottom line - food is good, ignore the rest and enjoy!
Always a great meal here. Food is delicious
and service is great. They also managed to squeeze us in as they were fully booked. Been to Kashi many times now and they never dissapoint.
Limited menu but tasty food! Bhaja fish, chicken and naans- Everything was amazing. Quantity is a bit less compared to price but quick service and tasty food makes up for it.
We went many times eg. My grandson's rice feeding ceremonies and lunches and dinners, as well as my friend, are also doing. It is the be Indian restaurant in Sydney. The food is authentic Indian. I worked in eight countries and travelled to many countries. It's the best. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I can assure you that you will enjoy the Kashi.
The cooking experience exceeded our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back for more classes. Both Sumi and Aron were great hosts and made us feel really comfortable and were really knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
