Great quality ice cream - it was delicious! Although, $8.50 for 2 (very small) scoops is a bit too much for the amount we got.
This place has always been busy the few days we've been here. There was a wide selection of ice cream, sorbet and gelato with colour keys to indicate main allergens. We ordered raspberry sorbet, chocolate ice cream and chocolate sorbet and chocolate hazelnut gelato. It's a bit pricey and while the chocolate sorbet and chocolate hazelnut (which I had) was yummy, the price was too much in comparison to the taste.
Beyond Expectations and extremely amazing ice cream shop that has won many awards you could see the awards pasted all around the shop. The 2016 and 2019 Australian Grand Dairy Awards Champion premium chocolate was smooth and creamy and we can see why they won the accolades.
We really liked the texture of the ice cream and how they weren’t overly sweet. So There were many groups heading towards great ocean road and when all groups get here, the line gets long...Despite the large crowd and only one staff, the service was great. Got to taste few ice cream before purchase. Ice cream was nice and too much to eat for 3 scoops!
The ice cream flavors are delicious, smooth, texture wise the best I have had. So we Ordered Chocolate flavour and Coconut plus butterscotch all 10/10.
They have some flavour called Vegemite which everyone recommends..havnt tried that though!
Offering a wide range of ice cream and sorbet flavours. We tried passionfruit and lemon sorbet which were ok. The biscotti and tiramisu were probably the nicest available. The blueberry one and the kiwi fruits were both nice too. They also offer vegemite ice cream but we didn't try that one.
Great range of flavours, and definitely worth a visit if you are in town.
I tried a bunch of different flavours in the few days I was in Apollo Bay.
- Banana 10/10 superb, must try
- Strawberry 10/10 amazing
- Chocolate 9/10 very rich and creamy
- Coconut Marshmallow 9/10 great flavour with real marshmallow pieces
- Rocky Road(pictured) 8/10 Great marshmallow choc flavour but needs more nuts and extras mixed in.
- Cinnamon 6/10 needed a stronger cinnamon taste maybe some swirls mixed through.
Had the chocolate ice-cream, strawberry cheesecake, bubblegum and passionfruit ones. Oh my..... chocolate and passion fruits are award-winning for a real reason! You gonna try it!!!

Beautiful quality ice cream on the coastal strip of Apollo Bay. When your groups get here, the line gets long. With award winning ice cream, it’s a must try. They’re known for their chocolate flavour but there are so much more to choose from. Great place to come for a quick sweet treat.
Best ice-cream in Vic! If you're in apollo bay you can't miss trying one of dooley's icecreams. One of my favourite things in AB, definitely worth checking out!
Stumbled upon this ice cream place after our lunch at Apollo Bay, what a pleasant surprise! The wall is full of award certifications and oh boy the ice cream is out of the world. Tried the Vegemite (tasted like salted caramel with a hint of bitter aftertaste) and honey malt. Love them to bits! They have other interesting flavours as well, don’t miss it if you drop by Apollo Bay
