Food quality was good. Service was quick even though it was busy. Prices are not cheap but not too expensive either. It’s cleaner than most other Cafés in Apollo Bay

2 fried blue grenadier, 2 potato cakes, 2 seafood sticks, 2 fried dim sims & chips.
Everything was amazingly fresh, delicious batter and very tasty. High quality fish and chips with generous serving for 2 people, good value for $24.
My only complaint would be they don't allow you to swap the fried fish to grilled even if you offer to pay the difference.
Food and service was alright. Not much to expect from from a small town for a stopover. Everything tasted fresh. Ordered mussels pot (garlic and white wine), 1/2 doz of oysters, 1 butter fish and 6 calamari strips.
We had a good dinner here, fresh grilled barramundi, yummy scallops & chips were perfection! Only thing that need improvement was the potato cakes, they were a little dry and didn’t have the same crisp and crunch as the chips. Overall- good meal, fast service and nice clean place 👍🏻☀️
Popped in for lunch as tempting as the souvlaki would be opted to try the calamari and the steak sandwich. Had to amend my initial order after paying which was dealt with no problems which was good. The calamari was fresh cooked well and very tasty and the steak sandwich with the lot was enjoyable. Staff very friendly.
Great service and the fish and chips was perfect - also have beer wine if you want to have a drink. In the Main Street - rate it 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Put simply, they were one of the best fish and chips I’ve every had - and I can be difficult to please.
The fish and seafood we had was caught this morning and you could tell. No fishy smell and treated perfectly. The batter was light and crisp and the chips were perfect. The calamari was battered as a long strip which I’ve never seen done before and it melted in your mouth.
Couldn’t fault the food. And the cafe is meticulously clean with plenty of staff to crank out the orders quickly. I’d be very happy to go back again on our 2 day visit to Apollo Bay. They are also fully licensed.
Stopped in for lunch the other day and got the grilled flake along with a scallop and calamari. Everything was cooked perfectly and was a reasonable price. We enjoyed lunch so much we returned for dinner and got the grilled calamari with Greek salad. Everything tasted very fresh and will definitely return!
The freshest fish and chips I've ever had. We had it takeaway and order battered flake and grilled flake with potato cakes and chips. The flake was so fresh, yummy and most importantly not greasy! Will be the first place we go for dinner when we are back in Apollo bay!
This is the best place for the freshest fish in Apollo Bay at reasonable prices. Service was fast and friendly. Oysters were fresh too. Been here before, and the standard is still high. Chips are nice and crisp too
