First time ordering , everything was delicious . We ordered the dinner pack and were very pleased with quantity and quality of the order . The order was hot when delivered . We frequently order Indian of Uber eats but tried DoorDash for a change and found this little gem .
Janoon is hands down the best Indian in Melbourne. It’s my sons favourite restaurant in the world. It’s top class without the price tag. Even the restaurant itself looks like a hatted restaurant.
Everything is superb. Bitten chicken world class. But if your into your indian get some of the spicy vegetarian specials and ask if you can get the chicken special with cheese As a main. - it’s their signature dish you wouldn’t of ever had it before and it’s unbelievable. They have their own delivery but don’t do Uber eats I dont think. At the price they charge for the quality it would be impossible. Support local and get them to bring it or go get it.
As we are all trapped inside I’m trying out so many new indian restaurants and Junoon was absolutely delicious.
Firstly their breads were outstanding - garlic naan and a Kashmiri naan were perfect with the curries.
We had a butter chicken - very generous portion on the large serve. I do prefer breast meat and not thighs but it was still good. The korma chicken was also delicious.
Great delivery from DoorDash - the only company I use now as they are helping restaurants in fees at the moment so it’s a win win!
Beautiful Ambience, food was super delicious, very well priced, and the owner was very friendly to us. Wonderful 5 star experience and highly recommended.
I had a great experience over here. They serves the best food. It’s an amazing fine dining restaurant. Everything was super delicious. I can’t get enough of this restaurant. Everything is so innovative and so delicious. Ambience is very classy. Kudos to the chef and Mr. Rajan Bhatia. He’s so amazing and friendly and very sweet.
Would love to go back there and have some more amazing meals. Best Indian restaurant in Armadale. They have wide varieties of mouth watering entree and main course meals both in veg and non-veg.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Couldn’t write something negative if I tried about this place. Delicious Indian food, highly recommend.
The aesthetics of the restaurant is what caught my eye while driving passed a week or so ago, so I thought I'd give it a go after then scouring their menu.
Be careful of the step when you walk in. It leads to a really pretty designed area that houses about six or so tables. There's a long passageway to go to the back of the restaurant where I think they have parties and buffets. The furniture is modern and bright and was a lovely ambience.
The entrees came out in reasonably good time; though one dish quite a bit ahead of the second. They were both delicious, each with a bit of a kick. The samosas pastry was really good, and the filling nice too, but a bit of spice in there. The onion bhaji were a bit spicy also, but tasted good. The Garlic naan was really, really nice. Very flavourful without being burnt or too garlicy. The sauce for the butter chicken was absolutely smooth and delicious. Everything was spot on.
The service was good without being too overpowering and parking at this part of High St isn't too difficult. However ... they do take out and Uber Eats etc, so food can come out slow, and there's really only six main tables in the front. So if you want to be sure to get . a table, I highly recommend you book. With that said, I found this to be a really good dining experience overall and would love to go back again.
Good food with amazing service. We had paneer khurchan and mix platter. Paneer was very flavorsome. Seekh kabab is a must try. I will go again at this place to try other things on the menu.
The customer service and ambience at this place is A1. The food is yummier. I had a Malai chicken and Kulfi while my friends had KaliMirch Paneer, Garlic Cheese Naan, Khurchan and Boondi Raita. The food was extremely rich and they have a very different take on their fusion food. I might have to go there a few more times to experience the place a 2nd time.
The entrees are a really delicious combo of tandoor and sizzlers. Loved it. The Khurchan reminded me of the streets of India :)
The Kulfi was soooooooooooo good. I wanted another one because it's filled with Khoa (which is made of dried while milk).
There's a lot for them to improve on:
- Flavour combinations
- Mocktails
- Food suggestions
Visited Junoon on a monday evening with my friends after work. This has got to be one of the most beautiful Indian restuarant in Melbourne who has managed to maintain the ambience and cosy vibes. Perfect for a date night or unwind your hectic long day along side of friends with some amazing collection of drinks at really good price range or for intimate conversations with family. We were attended by Raj and have to tell you this their staff hospitality and service is impeccable. We ordered for chicken 65 as a starter because we wanted to have something spicy and curries with naans. To be honest it was quite a journey through North India. Punjabi butter chicken was creamy and delicious. My personal favourite was the goat curry because the meat was perfectly cooked and with well blended spices. For vegetarians their Paneer Khurchan will be a good option it is different from your ordinary paneer bhurji. Ended with chicken biryani and dessert. I am a rasmalai fan and will always be my pick. I am definitely visiting this place again for yummy curries and the vibe! Ending with an important note: Their food is by default comforting for aussie or kiwi taste buds spice level and for all the not so faint hearted for spicy hot eaters don't hesitate to ask for your level of spiciness they'll make sure they make it precise and not mix red chilli powder in your dish like few other we usually complain about. A bit pricey but worth the experience!!!!!
