Wonderful place!
I went down to this small, boutique restaurant with a mate who had recommended it.
It's a lovely, softly lit place filled with timber and character.
We ordered five courses from the tapas menu.
The pattatas bravas were delicious, a twice cooked potato that I could imagine as a perfect side to a protein dish.
We also had a pork and beef meatball which were tender and juicy in a rich tomato sauce.
The pork belly was well cooked and the apple accompaniment was a perfect fit.
The grilled halloumi and caramelised onion really hit the spot.
And finally, our cheese croquettes were sharp and bitey.
We washed it all down with a bottle of earthy red; a fantastic choice.
The wait staff were attentive and helpful, I never felt like we were struggling to get someone's attention.
At the end of an expansive and delicious meal, the bill was a very reasonable $110.
All in all I highly recommend you visit!
The best food we have had in a long time. Calamari cocked to perfection.
Margaritas to die for. We will make it our favourite place to eat when we come to Melbourne. The ambience is terrific you don't want to leave.
Delicious food & friendly staff. Food was tasty, hot and quick to come out. Very reasonably priced too!
Not a bad word to say, it was just a really nice restaurant and we’d definitely go back
Great food, amazing service. Everything I ordered was amazing - the eggplant with goats cheese, octopus, croquettes, chorizo! The cazuela de marisco was beautiful, had so much flavour on it! The bread that came with was probably the best bread I had in my whole life.
Probably my absolute favourite restaurant in Melbourne, food wise. They are super gluten free friendly and every time I’ve been I have not been disappointed. The crumbed Camembert cheese, halloumi with caramelised onion on bread, stuffed peppers, and the sherry mushrooms are a must, and even if you’re not GF, I would recommend trying the GF bread as a side with your mushrooms and moping up all the sauce with it. Delicious. Staff are a little under attentive, but the kitchen is quick to serve and it’s a family run business so I think that’s totally understandable. They also have a great Spanish wine list and a sangria that is not too sweet. Very reasonably priced (don’t be fooled by the small portion sizes, the food is very filling!) I would eat here every day if I could!
Cozy environment and very nice food! We loved the black pudding and everything else was also amazing. I would definitely come back to try the other dishes! 🤗
Dinner on a Saturday night.
Last couple of visits convinced us that Arcadia is definitely a winner when it comes to good Spanish inspired food.
Service can be a little wanting when it's busy, however the wait is well rewarded if you have already received one of the great wines on offer.
A selection of plates to share is always a good choice.
Octopus is a must. Pickled and salted Anchovies are equally as good.
Quite enjoyed dining here. Service was friendly, ambience was spot on, and the food was delicious. Worth the price if you're keen for a nice night out. I love that it's tucked away in Ascot Vale and am very surprised, as a local, I'd never heard of it or dined here before! Authentic Spanish food with an abundance of options on their menu. We ordered 2 entrees, 2 mains and 2 desserts for under $120 so I think
that was quite reasonable. I loved everything except the Pollo Harissa, I wasn't a big fan of that one dish, but saying that, my partner loved the strong flavour and it came highly recommended. The soup we had in the photo was spot on delicious. Sooo much seafood in there we couldn't even finish it. Will definitely be coming back to this place!
We came here on a rainy evening to try some of their tapas: croquettes, meat balls, octopus with coriander sauce, patatas bravas and octopus with sweet paprika. Croquettes were fine, a bit oily for my taste but still enjoyable. I really liked the patatas bravas, they were golden and crispy, just missing a bit of seasoning. Meat balls were slightly raw, which was a bit concerning considering they are made of beef and pork. Our favourite was the octopus with coriander sauce and potatoes, so yummy we actually order a second serve! We also tried their Pisco Sour and Dry Martini. We didn't really enjoy any of them; my Pisco had a strong taste of sugar syrup and my partner's Martini was not made properly. We decided to skip the cocktails and try some of the spanish beers they've got on the menu, which was way more enjoyable. Service was quick and efficient; ambiance is really pleasant and properly spanish! Not sure if I would go back....maybe for the octopus!
Arrived pretty much at opening time for dinner and for the high rating they have I was surprised to see only one other family there, but it quickly filled up about an hour into my dinner so I would recommend booking if you go at dinner time. Food comes out as soon as it is ready (not all at the same time) which is a great idea. All the food was delicious, my fave was the croquettes and octopus. Really cozy interior although no heating which means you'd want to rug up in winter. Try the delicious Sangria!
Traditional hearty spanish food in a small cosy eloquent setting. Great for any sort of occassion. Entrees were magnificent. Mains were filling and delicious. Authentic spanish experience

Came here for a dinner service and luckily was seated immediately. It was a warm summer night and we shared some small dishes as you would with this type of cuisine. Everything was delicious and warm and when finishing the night offered a complimentary dessert spirit which was delicious and cleared the palate. Very friendly and attentive service!
A definite must for any locals or if you find yourself in the area!
Keen for some Spanish food so dinner @ArcadiaGastronomique.
Arroz Caldoso (paella)
Served piping hot and filled with a medley of perfectly cooked succulent seafood (calamari, mussels, prawns, clams, fresh fish, scallops) in amongst tender rice immersed in a tomato sauce, this is absolutely delicious! Such a hearty and flavoursome dish.
Burnt Basque Cheesecake
I love this. The Basque cheesecake has a bottom layer of gooey creaminess with the rest of the cheesecake baked. Enjoyed with vanilla ice cream, a chocolate wafer, mint and strawberries.

Welcoming environment, friendly staff, amazing fresh produce cooked to perfection 💞
You must try the octopus!
The food was good but we were very rushed. They bought part of the main to the table before all the tapas dishes so we had a table laden with food. Then although we had to take an 8pm reservation as that was what was available with nothing earlier, we were told the kitchen was closed so even if we had wanted dessert we couldn't. If you have set times and 8 pm is one of your sittings (on a Saturday night) you should give customers ful service and not have the leave at 9:15pm
Food was amazing. Ordered set menu. Except for the bread was a bit dry, everything was nice. Salmon ceviche and paella were absolutely amazing. Perfectly enjoyed the food. Just need to improve customer service. Booked a table, one of staff managed us a table which had not been set. A bit hard to get attention. The other girl who looks more mature was good tho. Overall very nice👍
Delicious tapas and seafood paella with fresh prawns and muscles! Great wine selections including a large collection of Spanish temperanillos.
Found the food very tasty and well priced. Good wine list, especially if you like Italian or Spanish wine. Restaurant is small but had a good vibe. Service was excellent, with friendly staff. Will return again
Quality Spanish food, reasonable prices, and great service. A great choice for a date night or a fiesta!
