Amazing coffee and breakfast bruschetta was to die for. Well worth the drive to check this place out. I will definitely be back
The food is fresh, home made and delicious. The coffee is amazing and the service is professional yet friendly and welcoming. When I walk into the cafe it is always filled with positive, happy people. I have food allergies and whenever I come in to eat, I am given plenty of options to choose from. I have kids too and they cannot get enough of the take home lasagne, milkshakes, hot chips, sponge cake or chocolate chip cookies! Thanks Butch & Sundance for being so great at what you do
Amazing quality, great service and an unexpected setting! I remember this place as a suburban milk bar in the 90's so was not expecting what welcomed me when I walked in. A really cosy feel, subdued music, friendly staff, mismatched tabled and chairs, kitsch ironic doilies and patterned China - comfortable!
I've read other reviews questioning the pricing, but once you've tasted the coffee you won't argue! Rich, smooth, perfect temperature, I wish it was closer to my office!! But if the coffee doesn't get you, the food will seal the deal - I had an omelette with chorizo, fetta and spinach with sides of sautéed mushrooms and a house made hash brown (yup, no frozen and fried mush, a thick, grated/hash potato yum!) all quality, all fresh, all worth the asking price for sure. Will be back......and I took a second coffee away with me, awesome!
The food is really good. This place doesn't look like much from the outside. Inside is really welcoming and cosy. Staff is attentive and well trained. Coffee, too acidic and weak for Espresso.
Passable with milk.
This cafe resides along the small tired-looking shopping strip in Aspendale opposite the station. The exterior is non descript and somewhat neglected, apart from some graffiti style signwriting on the side street wall, and the building is apparently a former corner milk bar (evident by a sign hanging inside). The interior though, has been refitted as a modern cafe, and comprises a painted brick wall, a faux slate wall, timber flooring panels, with a quaint assortment of wooden and antique steel chairs accompanying a variety of tables. The menu is reasonably interesting and includes some vegetarian options, particularly on the breakfast menu. I selected the etta avocado breakfast with thyme roasted tomatoes and mushrooms as sides. The coffee was good, well prepared, and the meal was quite nice. I found the service to be friendly and attentive. Not a bad cafe at all.
I go to butch and Sundance all the time as I live locally. The service is great and the food is really tasty and well presented. Not to mention that the coffee here is also among the best you will get in the bayside area. I really recommend this caffe
My favourite spot for a coffee. Coffee is consistently good, nice and strong. Staff are always friendly and accommodating. Courtyard is a great spot on a sunny day with kids.
A long term favourite, we go here often. Yummy fulfilling cafe food that is made with flavour in mind! Love everything about this place. Hats off to the owners, they work very hard and do a fantastic job.
Best cafe in area. Great coffee, I've only had steak sandbo, like five times, outstanding. Service is good, menu is small but quality, friends have had other offers. Read other reviews, if people can't afford to go out for a meal, why complain about prices, it always amazes me..,.
Finally a cafe that has the whole package. Great service, clean and awesome food. Scrambled eggs were delicious. Unique for the area!! Will be back regularly.

A quaint cafe with great coffee, friendly staff, and probably the best poached fruit/yogurt/muesli I've had in a long time, on par with Mart.
Lovely service, feels like a locals place but they make you feel at home. The cakes are super tasty, and there are quite a few gluten free options. Coffee spoons are the little souvenir ones you used to collect around Australia, which are super cute. Very affordable too!

First time. Small place with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Good coffee. Food fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. Take home meals also available. Plenty of parking in side street car park. Will go back again.
