The cheese pizza is definitely the one you must try!!! It tasted amazing with a squeeze of lemon! Perfect for a late night snack!!!!!!!!
This new manakeesh place opened up in Auburn and has replaced a previous bakery.
The place has a nice and clean interior which you notice as soon as you walk in. The menu on the screens has some interesting options on it.
We ordered the Sausage and Cheese Manakeesh, Zaatar, Meat lovers Pizza and Biryani Pizza. The guy accidentally made us a Barbeque Chicken Pizza but appologized and gave that to us for free while he made our Biryani Pizza. He also threw in a free drink as well and when I tried to refuse he insisted and said he likes to see his customers happy. What a Legend! 110% on customer service right there.
So on to the actual food. The Zaatar's bread was very very soft. Once you chew into it you realize how satisfying that bite really is. Just the right amount of herbs in it as well. The Sausage and Cheese manakeesh was also good tasting. He's pretty generous with the toppings as the pics will show. The barbeque chicken... hmmm not a huge fan of the sweetness that comes from the barbeque sauce. But thats a personal choice. I know some people like it, but for me it messes up my pizza. Meat lovers was loaded with sausage and shredded beef mortadella and the soft meats just melt in your mouth along with the cheese. Finally the one that were looking the most forward to. Our expectation was that it would be topped with chicken cooked in biryani masala, but that wasn't the case. It tasted more like a garlicy chicken that you find inside a shawarma. ALthough it didnt taste anything like a biryani, it still tasted great in its own way and was our favourite of the lot.
Definitely will go again and try out the rest of the flavors.
✔️ Very quick, lovely service and food comes out extremely fresh. Meat + cheese was my favourite but the za'atar (oregano) was lovely too. Their bread is so soft; perfect thickness and fluffiness but still very light.
❌ Being Lebanese, I have had better, more authentic manoush. A bit too much tomato in the lahme, but that's just nit-picking. No one would be able to tell unless you are Lebanese and have had manoushe in Lebanon.
