Came here for dinner and I’m now smitten with the crumbed fish burger. Would highly recommend Oceana Traders to anyone wanting fresh, delicious, fast food with great service.

We didn’t leave Sydney till about 1 p.m. today. With a stop to the Baha’i temple en route it meant it was about 2:30 p.m. when we started looking for some lunch! 🤤 Spotted Oceana Traders shop on the opposite side of the road to where we parked, showed Maria,.. she said fine so we ordered a seafood lunch. Grilled flathead fillets, a junk of Coral trout & we shared a Snapper pie & a single serve of chips. (Huge & Blake kindly boxed the surplus chips for us to have later!) As it turns out, the excellent snapper pie we had is made by OT on the premises so we grabbed a large frozen salmon pie to enjoy later. We were the only eat in customers as we were after the lunchtime rush so we were ably served by Blake who looked after us in between preparing for the evening rush & yelling for help with the take away customers who kept trickling into the shop. We left fuelled up & ready to walk off lunch & tackle Barrenjoey Lighthouse,…. We did get to the foot of the hill but being winter it was too late so we contented ourselves with glimpses of the winter sunset & looped around Palm Beach & headed home. Great day, great late seafood lunch & relaxing day!

Delicious hot and fresh seafood takeaway. Very generous portions and reasonable prices given the location and quality of the food. Friendly staff and quick service despite everything being cooked fresh to order. Tender calamari rings and nice bit of coleslaw salad served with the lunch pack with chips. Rarely up the Northern beaches way but would stop here for lunch next time I'm in the area.

Superlative fish and chips. Excellent texture, great quality fish, not too oily! Chips were made from very flavourful potatoes as well. Will definitely be back to try more or buy fish if I’m in the area and looking for fish.

Hand cut chips are fantastic, the rest of their seafood is good quality but you do pay for it. My biggest gripe is no chicken salt available, even the staff there told me: "yeah it's a shame, but the owner is against it". I kinda get it, I would flat out refuse to cook a well-done steak if requested by a customer. But it's contradictory to refuse chicken salt (assumably because it would "ruin" the taste profile) but still able to ruin it with an extravagant 10+ different sauces available... Including chipotle, chimichurri & even pineapple chilli. Bizarre. So I guess it's BYO.

Really good fish and chips, one of the best we've had. The portions are good sized, the Barra and chips was fresh and tasty. The calamari was good too. This place gets a little busy on the weekend, but it's worth the wait. I'd return here again when I'm next in the area. We walked across the road and ate on the beach!

Great menu overall but the Snapper Pie is unreal. Some of the best pastry I’ve had in years and super generous filling. Will be back

Easily the best fish and chips in Sydney. While you will pay $16-22 for fish and chips, you get a hell of a serving. The fish is fresh and tasty as hell, they put some great favours in the batter. The chips are amazing - they hit the sweet spot between being chunky and crispy. Will be back.

Absolutely loved this place! Checked out this place because Google said it had oysters. It's not a very big place, but it had 3 tables for patrons who wanted to eat in, like we did. Fresh food on display included a variety of fish and of course, oysters. While we were enjoying our meals, there were continuous streams of walk in customers, some taking away cooked meals, but most bought the fresh seafood. We ordered the Crumbed Barramundi and Crumbed Cod dishes, both came with fries and salad. I actually ordered the Crumbed Prawns, but it was probably miscommunicated and I got the cod instead, which was very good too, so no complaints there. Everything was made and crumbed inhouse, and they were very fresh. Loved the homemade beer battered fries too. Had half a dozen oysters, which were lovely and creamy. All food came up to $46. The only thing I struggled with a little, is that the opened door of the restaurant let the chilly draft in, and I was already freezing after the whale watching cruise I was on. But other than that, two thumbs up and I highly recommend this place. Service was good too.
