We had the chilli pork & beans, chicken ribs, san choi bao and CKT. All delicious, all ready really quickly. Great friendly service and a really classy fit out too. Highly recommend. They are open for Lunch on Friday, Sat, Sun so if you want a late morning Pho at 11am in the Heights it's the place to be!!

Been to this space a couple times now and it’s been packed and has a wonderful vibe! Staff are attentive and their is many vegan options on their extensive menu.
Pictured - Singapore noodles, veg vermicelli, crispy eggplant and spring rolls. All were delicious. The standout has to be that eggplant though! Quality time here.
We were looking for a good Vietnamese place near church. So surprised to find incredible service and a desert that rivals Peter Gilmores Famous
snow egg!
First time ordering from here and it was really nice Vietnamese! I only got one dish- the spicy vegan bun hue, takeaway. I was a bit hesitant to order soup takeaway as they are usually never the same as dining in but this was delicious! Looking forward to trying more dishes next time. Would recommend.

This place was delicious. We ordered a few dishes to share between 4 of us. Our favourite was the xo pipis and the char kway teow.
The desserts were also great. I would recommend the sago dessert.

Hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. A wonderful atmosphere, amazing quality food and wonderful service - food was delivered promptly even though the venue was full. Great range of vegan options!

Rice Fields is a classy, modern Vietnamese restaurant which is more common place in trendier suburbs. The place was packed and it is wise to book.
It has a modern, industrial feel, with concrete floors and modern lighting. Ideal for two or four diners but beyond that , conversation would be difficult because of the noise. But there were a number of tables with 8 to 12 people and all seemed very happy. A very eclectic group of diners; all age groups and many ethnicities.
There is a small yet interesting wine menu.
There’s about 5 whites and 5 reds from small vineyards in Mornington Peninsula, Yarra Valley, King Valley and Margaret River. Around $40 upwards per bottle. They allow corkage but $10 per bottle.
A wide selection from each of the categories of Starters; Noodle Soup Bowls; Vermicelli Bowls; Fried Noodle Plates and Sharing Dishes ( main courses).All large dishes are either $22 or $26.
For starters, we had Pan Fried vegetable dumplings which were perfectly cooked (melted in your mouth) and contained generous amount of minced vegetables. We love the San Choi Bao. Wonderful minced chicken, veggies in a fresh, large lettuce leaf. Quick service and served very warm.
For the sharing dishes, we had Salt and Pepper Squid which was perfectly cooked, with lovely slightly spicy chilli and herbs. The beef with Chinese broccoli was a generous serve, high quality beef and broccoli. We had a small steamed rice.
A really well balanced meal. The busy staff were unobtrusive and worked like a well oiled machine. One can see the cooking and chefs from your table which is a wonderful part of the experience.
Really interesting and diverse menu; so we will certainly be back to try other dishes.

A beauty in Avondale Hts. Dispels any myth that you must go to St Albans, Sunshine or Footscray for good Asian cuisine. We had pan fried pork dumplings, char kuai Teow and the noodle soup with prawn and pork. Everything was excellent. Flavour, freshness, service, value/portion, all tick! The char kuai teow especially captured all of the wok flavours. Will return
😱Lizzie’s first impression: The interior is so modern it almost doesn’t even seem like they do authentic Vietnamese food but don’t let the look of the restaurant deter you away. It’s my new found gem!
🍩Lizzie enjoyed: the pipis with Chinese donuts are the highlight - pipis are fresh and the donuts are crispy! We also ordered the fried flat rice noodles which had the perfect kick of spice in it. The desserts were amazing - we got the coconut milk sago and the Jasmine Pannacotta that was really fragrant and delicious with the honeycomb.
🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: The prices are very fair but those who go to Viet restaurants will say that there prices are a little steeper. Nonetheless it’s worth paying the premium!

Amazing food. The eggplant was delicious. The food was fresh and full of flavours. I strongly recommend this restaurant. I’m coming back for sure.
We all had a great experience at this place for the second time. Food was great, recommend the salt & pepper squid. Much better service this time, but my only gripe is the massive draft in this restaurant. (both times we froze) Please do something about your heating, or close the back doors!
So, I hate Chinese food. But for mothers day. Why not. Wow, wow and wow. I'm hooked. I've been missing out. This stuff is amazing.

Love the food here. Always on point with their dishes. One of my family's favourite and go to place when getting take out that is so close to home.
Love the food (specifically the Diced Beef on Tomato Rice and Sizzling Pepper Beef with Udon Noodles), friendly staff, clean restaurant and toilet (which is very rare with Asian restaurants these days), and spacious place too.

Where they have captured the true essence and the flavors of Vietnamese cuisines in a fantastic manner. They also serve authentic Chinese cuisine besides Vietnamese.
From refreshing noodle soups to stir fries to crispy appetizers to filling main courses to mouth watering sides ending on traditional yet tasty desserts, this place has it all.
What we had:
Vegetable spring roll, absolutely amazing, so crispy and that cabbage and tofu filling has made the roll exceptionally great in taste.
Sliced Chicken Pho, so simple yet incredibly flavorsome, a perfect dish to enjoy on a cold afternoon. Also the soft tender chicken slices laced with pho soup makes it a heart warming combination.
Salted egg and fish fried rice, delicious yet an unique rice dish that has the irresistible salted fish and egg flavor.
Eggplant in Sweet Chilli Sauce, a yummy eggplant dish that is made with honey and chilli sauce, making it impossibly delectable in taste. Definitely a must have at this restaurant.
Sizzling Garlic Prawns, served on a hot plate, that is full of prawns, loaded with veggies and is such a refreshing dish that will give you real cravings for another plate after having one.
Coconut sago with berries, creamy coconut sago, so mouth watering dessert full of fresh berries.
Banana fritter with coconut icecream, crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside, served hot, makes it a delightful combination with chilled coconut icecream.
Besides the great food, the portion of each dish os very generous hence price wise, it's affordable and worthwhile. Also the decor of this place is so airy, bright and beautiful with spacious seating area both indoor and outdoor. And their service is super fast with a friendly and helpful team of staff.
