I am a bookkeeper that do the books for several restaurants and bars in Perth and have eaten at all of them. I went to the Chase with family and i ordered the pumpkin and ricotta gnocchi and oh my god it was delicious, they were light and fluffy. Very nice well done to the chef and the floor staff were fantastic too. Definitely will be back
The best staff, the best food and the best cocktails EVER and I'm a food and cocktail girl so take it from me. The steak is perfect. I just love The Chase and Jess the new 2ic is lovely!!
Visited day before yesterday with my bestie...and ordered burger ,french fries and coffee .

I can't believe why others gone disappointed here....i haven't face any issues and feel comfortable here... Ambience was nice.
Love the food here! The quesadilla is so good, and I really enjoyed the arancini also.
I've come here on a number of occasions and the staff are friendly, service is quick and everyone I've dined with have enjoyed their meal.
Nice food and friendly staff but service was so slow! We had a good time and everyone on our table of 9 seemed to enjoy their dinner. Just a long time to come out.
Went here last night and cannot complain one bit. Waitstaff were so caring and helpful, food came out quick and the quality of food was good. We had the Asian tasting plate with a prawn Caesar to share. Portion sizes great.

Had trouble finding this place, last time I went there it was the only shop on the block, Baldivis has really exploded, turned into a little city.
I was expecting Pub grub and wasn't disappointed.
Saturday night, about 70% full.
Pretty simple menu, usual burgers & steaks, not a huge range, so why did we have to wait near on an hour for our meal? I had 2 beers waiting for my meal, that's not really responsible service, drinking on an empty stomach...
Granted the kids meals came straight away.
They wouldn't do a kids steak, although I asked if they could do a steak sandwich as a kids meal, sorry, no...
My daughter wanted the Goldband bread-crumbed, sorry, no... Just grilled, A la' hotplate.
I had stock standard Rib eye, chips, salad & pepper sauce, medium rare, no brainer.
My steak was overcooked, nearly Medium well, chips were warm, salad was KFC Coleslaw in a little ramekin.
Other end of the table my sons GF had an almost rare steak when ordered Medium, under-cooked.
Didn't want to return our meals, and wait another 30 minutes...
Vegetables were a medley of blanched Zucchini & Yellow squash, which I noticed was uneaten throughout the restaurant. If you see plates consistently coming back with uneaten food, take notice why people aren't eating it, take a moment to season it? Perhaps toss it with some butter?
The Garlic mash was made with out the jar Garlic paste, I detest the taste of that stuff, not hard to prepare fresh Garlic.
Overall, it was okay, was a quick feed, rather than a dining experience.
If they'd been a bit more organised in terms of menu & preparation, got our meals to us earlier, (we booked early cos we had little kids). We might have stayed for a dessert and a coffee, maybe enjoyed it a bit more.
Saying that, the acoustics were awful, you had to shout to be heard.
Really, they need to try harder, if they just want to tread water, serve OK, average pub grub they doing fine, but if they want people to return and enjoy an experience beyond take away's they need to put some more effort into their menu.

Nice pub grub. My hub and I went there last night and really enjoyed our food. I had the fish and chips and he had the rib eye steak. Service staff very friendly and efficient and we didn't wait long at all for our food. The fish was cooked well and hot, the chips were fairly standard (not proper fish shop chips but I haven't found those in Perth yet anyway). Hub's steak was cooked perfectly. Prices were standard for Perth - $75 for 2 mains, shared dessert, and 3 pints TEDs. Fairly quiet as it was Sunday evening but I thought it had a nice, relaxed atmosphere. We live in Baldivis so it's very local for us and we will go back.
27/1/15 - I would like to agree with 2 recent comments on here - kids seem to be allowed to run riot and totally unsupervised, shame on the parents. I'm not anti-kids at all but this is a pub/restaurant and when I have an evening meal there I don't expect my conversation to have to compete with screaming children, does spoil the atmosphere somewhat. Take them to the park instead please or at least try and control them!
Great service and food. The Asian platter was tasty, the steaks were generous and the lamb rack delicious. It was the usual pub grub but with some simple additions that took things up a few notches.
The Chase can be hit or miss. Last night we had both the hit and the miss. Took 15 minutes for drink and food orders and then another 35 minutes for food to arrive. Dining room was only a quarter full and waitstaff didn't seem busy. Problem seemed to be the kitchen with waitstaff constantly at the window waiting for meals and providing anxious looks at customers. Ribs looked good on another plate we saw so my son had those. Unfortunately they were quite dry. Herb crusted chicken was good? As was the pie and steak.
Dinner.... To read the menu it is quite strange. Things that you would not expect mixed together. Very minimal menu. However the food you receive is quite nice. Not a big meal though, pending on what you order. We had good service from our waitress. But beware the salt and pepper as some staff take no care in how they spray chemicals when cleaning the table.
Was at a private function for the Jack's engagement party at The Chase Bar and Bistro on Sat night, was very nice. The Bar staff was nice and we had a Bar tab, nice private area roped off for us and very friendly party members. They had food getting offered around and a table of help yourself food. There was a live band in the main area of the pub playing good music and a few children dancing with earmuffs on. Good night
A little celebration here, nibble yummy food. Kids eat free every monday and tuesday 5-8pm
Plenty of inside and outside seating. Open and airy. A sense of privacy in a public place. Exciting menu. Reasonable pricing for both food and drink. Excellent service. Consider having your special event here.
Great staff, but meals were too big for pensioners lunches, so my wife and I shared a fish and chips. They did supply an extra plate and cutlery for us. Nice place!
