We would just like to thank Amanda (Functions Manager) and the wonderful staff for all their hard work on Saturday with my Mum's birthday party. My family, especially my Mum enjoyed themselves and the food was fantastic. I can't thank the bar/wait staff enough as they were so patient and helpful with us all. A shout out goes to all the kitchen staff for their awesome food.
Great venue, great food and most of all great staff! Can't wait to return!
I went to The Alexander for the first time today and it certainly didn't disappoint. With 2 entrees, 4 mains and 2 kids meals...I must say EVERY bit of food was delicious. There was even a guy playing laid back music on his guitar while letting my 8 year old son play "the drums" on a bar stool next to him! I will definitely be back.
A terrific place to have a great meal, with friendly staff and lots of lovely food, portions are large and really great value. recommend this venue to everyone.
These guys do a mean pub dinner, but I have to commend them greatly for the amazing service they provided for my birthday function with them. They set up a lovely area for my guests and then went above and beyond with the food!! I was also given royal treatment by the bar staff, on the night. It made my big night so extra special and memorable. All my guests commented on what a great job these guys did. I can't thank them enough!!
Service is great and staff are all friendly. Food portion sizes are large and the food taste good as well. Food is well priced with great specials on during the week.
In terms of casual pub fare, this has gotta be one of my favourites. Quality, consistent meals and large portions!
I would recommend the $15 parmi on Monday or Thursday nights and their steaks are always cooked to perfection and food always nicely presented. The seafood and chorizo linguine is also a stand out. Food out within 10 minutes of ordering at the counter and wait staff were very friendly and efficient.
Nothing to dislike except for the red wine sauce which was oddly super peppery!
Really good atmosphere and they have done the place up really nicely. Food is reasonable priced service always good and efficient. The chef even comes to check if the food is ok
OMG!!! What a great meal. Hubby and I went there last night (Thursday). Hubby had the Parma (on special $15) it was huge and delicious. He looked at it a said he wont be able to finish it but he did because it was so nice. Chips and salad fresh and tasty. I had the Gnocchi and it was divine. I am Italian and can honestly say one of the best I have had. The gnocchi tasted homemade, sauce was so good I used the hubbys chips to mop up the sauce. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Big smiles on their faces (nice to see). WE WILL BE BACK.
Food was surprising better than we expected. Last minute discussion using the Entertainment book. The noise was a little bit much but it was Halloween and there was a 50th going on also.
Men had steak and said it was really good. One had the parma and it was the hugest thing we had ever seen but cooked nice and really tasty. I had the twice cooked pork belly and my only "observation" was that there should have been more mustard sauce.
We will definitely go back.
Just stumbled across The Alexander while in the area and needing some lunch, as they say never judge a book by it's cover. Even though it had a stale old bar smell when we walked in, the food was absolutely first class! The meals were a very generous size, presented beautifully and just top quality! The steak sandwich was just perfect. Even the pizza for the kids meal was fantastic, not the usual frozen deal most places dish out.
Awesome Pork Belly. Dined here last night. We ordered 2 mains, the pork belly and the ribs. The meat on the ribs were tender and tasty. A good serve.
The pork belly was a standout. Huge serve...very well presented...crispy crackling...tender meat.....just brilliant!
Staff were polite and friendly.
We've dined here before and have been spreading the good word. Will definitely be back.
