Would be 5 stars but the lack of variety in the menu isn’t the best. Bring back that slow cooked beef gnocchi! It was the bomb. Since taking it off the menu we haven’t returned. We were told it was the winter menu but it just never returned.

Food quality was average. They make exquisite salads, however I find their meat slightly salty.
They serve large quantity of food.
I paid $34.00 for the Pork Belly, which I think is on the pricier side.
Customer service is amazing. They are attentive especially the woman behind the bar during that Tuesday night.
Street Parking is available out the front.

Very nice venue, single lady owner who serves and cooks. Food was well done, steak sandwich, fish of day, lamb and calamari, beer battered chips was excellent. Would definitely go back

Not worth the money or the wait. 3 scallops for $18 that were cold in the middle, “crispy” pork belly was not crispy at all and impossible to cut let alone eat: the salad and purée it comes with wouldn’t feed a mouse either. Eye fillet meat was good but the sides on the dish left us starving. Servers were ok. Won’t be back.

I'm pretty sure this is the best gnocchi I've ever had, light and tasty morsels with a beautiful creamy smooth goats cheese. The mustard glazed greens were just tender. It was a good restaurant for a special occasion.

This is a favorite for date night with the wife. Excellent quality food, in particular the eye fillet and pork belly. Soft centered chocolate pudding was fantastic too. Good selection of wines.

Excellent night had by all six of us. Service, food and atmosphere wonderful. Surprisingly great value for such delicious food. My duck ravioli was superb and the cheese platter and banana crepes rounded out our experience.

We had a big group and they handled us very well, all our meals came out together their time management was spot on. I had steak and it melted in my mouth like butter it was so gorgeously cooked thanks red peper for a great night.

Hadn't been here for a while so we thought we would check it out again and we weren't disappointed. The menu is small and it certainly costs more, so the food had to be good and it was. The starters and mains were all very good. The slow cooked brisket massaman was different, nice and very filling.<br/><br/>There is no kids menu but they were prepared to make something for us, however we decided to just get an extra plate and share our mains.

Great experience... Warm, inviting atmosphere with lovely mood lighting... Exceptional service. The meals whilst higher end on price were extremely generous in proportions, well worth the money. Pork belly entree was perfect as was the salmon for main. Overall dining experience was as good as we have experienced anywhere in the Ballarat region... Will be back again!

Far too expensive and the service was slow. My daughter had an allergic reaction to the praline dessert, and unfortunately the staff didn't notice or didn't care. Too many other nice options in Ballarat to spend my time and $$ here.

Beautiful Meals. We ordered eye fillet and wagu beef cheeks. Both meals were stunning, with the sauces fantastically reduced. Accompanied with nicely cooked vegetables. We're looking forward to going back

Overcooked on a cold day. I heard good things about this place , sadly they didn't live up to expectations. The tasting plate and seafood fettuccine was ordered . The time it took was within a reasonable limit however the scallops and muscles were very over cooked. The Saginaki was undercooked and the pasta dressing was bland. On the positive note the waitress was good and gave us a discount on our meals after our comments. Ask for a table on the right hand side mid way through the place on a winters night as the front window looses heat through it and the back door to the toilets lets a lot out.

Beautiful lunch today. Beetroot risotto with goats cheese & pine nuts was divine. My husband had duck with asian noodles which was also lovely however a little small for a big eater. Not a complaint as for the price paid with a complimentary glass of wine it was certainly good value. Looking forward to dining here for dinner when next in Ballarat.

I dined here tonight with my other half. I had the mushroom bruschetta with Brie as an entree, it was superb, perfect balance of tastes in the dish, sourdough always a great choice as a base for bruschetta. As a main I had the lamb shank wrapped with panchetta and stuffed with goats cheese on a bed of vegetable risotto. The lamb shank was cooked beautifully, just melts in your mouth and the greens were crunchy and fresh! Only let down were the toilets, felt a bit like an outhouse rather than a restaurants toilets. But apart from that the atmosphere was lovely, love the red.

Lovely. Recently went for a sneaky romantic lunch date with my husband. The food was divine, the staff attentive and the atmosphere intimate without being stuffy. The scallops in curry were especially delicious! Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a more upmarket dining experience.

Best place for dinner in town. This is by far mine and my husbands favourite place to go for dinner. Only complaint.. More cockatils on menu (appletinis and french martinis) :D thats all.

You have to go...! Don't lo.... You have to go...!<br/>Don't look anywhere else. The atmosphere is great, the staff and owner are all just so lovely... And there there is the food. We have eaten a lot of amazing places, and we could not fault Red Peppa on Sturt!

As soon as you enter the place feels relaxed, the staff were very welcoming and professional, the food was lovely, the salmon with farro risotto was delicious amd the gnochhi was sooo good, desert was to die for, molten chocolate cake, enough said.

OMG....amazing!! The food was sensational! Every element of the food was perfection, and couldn't be happier. The tapas plate to share, followed by the home made three cheese ravioli then choc self saucing pudding. COuld I make any faults?.......not any, being the food critic I am. If you want bful atmosphere, reasonable priced food, and a full tummy without leaving you wallet empty then do come here. One fault I could make, was that the tables were seated to close together for me. I don't enjoy eating and worrying the person next to you is listening to what your saying. That makes me feel unconfortable, but other than that.....AMAZING!!!!!!
