The ice cream shop is located in a rather nice environment, unfortunately the ice cream is not as good as I thought especially the strawberry flavor.
The initiative to involve commercial businesses, like this, in the biennial of the photographic exhibition was very nice, with a better ice cream it would have been a different experience.

Absolutely love this little ice cream store. How lucky we are! I have a friend who used to work here and he absolutely loved it and loved the owner. The ice cream is homemade and compared to the alternative in town (franchise store) this is SO amazing, eclectic and divine! The young staff are always lovely and helpful. Best place in town for a treat!

The gelatos are so yummy. Great friendly staff! Lots of flavours available. We tried the mango qand pineapple sorbet, salted caramel, choc brownies and passionfruit & raspberries. All delicious!

It was a wet, somewhat cold day but my partner wanted to try the gelato. So she bought dual flavours and let me taste some. Immediately, I had to buy one for myself. The gelato was creamy, a beautiful texture and amazing flavours. Mine was rum'n'raisin - the only flavor I ever get - and the one from Il Piccolo Gelato has been the best. Well worth the price, (it was an average price for gelato). Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly.

Cute little gelataria next to town hall. A lccal at Ballarat farmer markets recommended this place was definitely worth a visit. The flavours were unique and super delicious. Pineapple and strawberry sorbet and Turkish delish gelato were our faves. Liked by both kids and adults.

Just brilliant. The lemon is zingy, the chocolate is rich and cocoa-y, the turkish delight is so, well, delightful! Quality ingredients, you can taste the difference. Can't wait for limes to come into season!

Pleased there was no licorice or banana! I'm sure the licorice and banana flavours are great - the products are all great, but just not my favourites.

Now proud to say a gelato fan, only reason why I couldn't give a 5 star rating (and I really want to) is that recently the quantity of the cups has declined . Pic on page looks fantastic (overloaded gelato in a cup) but that is sadly not what we have been receiving. Please bring back the overloaded cups! ����

Pistachio flavoured gelato is a must try ! Some actual bits of pistachios in there too. The flavour is better than the ones I’ve tried in Melbourne. Friendly staff with a good sense of humour. Highly recommended.

Their Sicilian Pistachio is now the benchmark fo all others in Australia, bellissimo! The proprietor Anthony will also happily discuss the good and the bad of gelato. I learned a lot about my favourite frozen treat! Wonderful visit. And if you are just visiting the area - make sure to go see the Giant Sequoias trees in the Botanical Garden
