Having dined several times at The Provincial Hotel, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, I decided to book a room there for my "Christmas in July" themed 60th Birthday Party; what a huge success it turned out to be!
The menu was planned around the theme, the tables beautifully prepared and the staff wonderful. They gave us plenty of time beforehand to add our own last minute displays in time to welcome our guests.
Food was fabulous with not one complaint, drinks flowed whist the music (we provided) played in the background; all who attended left happy and I had the best night ever for my first ever birthday party.
I would recommend this venue without hesitation as nothing was too much trouble for the very helpful staff and my night was perfect because of it - I believe my cheeks were sore from smiling all night long! Thanks to all involved ...
Fantastic venue for a function! We held our engagement party in the gorgeous upstairs function room on Friday night and could not fault it. The food was endless and everyone commented on how yum it all was. The staff were all so helpful and friendly.
We had the best night and everyone who celebrated with us agreed. Everyone was so impressed with the renovations, such a beautiful place! The downstairs bar was especially cool for drinks after our function had finished.
We also had lunch there over the weekend and we highly recommend the croque monsieur! We are looking forward to our next visit back The Provincial.
Fantastic! What an elegant and spacious room. Clean, fresh and a touch of class. Just the way we like it.

Staff were friendly, and check in and out was with ease.
Only negative, we only could stay one night! Will stay here again for sure, should we pass through Ballarat once more.
Oh, and we’ve already spread our thoughts with our friends and suggested this would be the place to stop for a day or two.
