Bustling all you can eat Japanese in the heart of Ballarat. Been twice recently and ordered a la carte both times. Good fast service and tasty teriyaki beef, Salmon Bento, Unagi don and sashimi. Recommend booking to ensure a table

Food was great but the service was inconsistent. A waitress told me they didn't have hot tea, which is strange but then the table next to us got tea. They don't do just sashimi, so you have to order a sashimi and nigiri set. It's also RNG what piece you get. We went as 2 people so we don't always get what we want. The rolls are sometimes vegetarian as well. I can imagine they just make a big patch of things and grab whatever to go out. I've never been to an all you can eat with an element of RNG before. I was super disappointed. I wanted more salmon sashimi and nigiri but that comes with a risk of all these random things I don't want.

You have access to quite a lot of food for the price you pay. Not the greatest quality, but fast, and with friendly service.

Very good and fast service, very nice amount of servings. The food in the plate is very appealing and appetising. Waited 30 to 40 mins for food, had to reorder everytime just to get this. You get what you pay for.

The food was wonderful. Very busy but still got food quickly. Was very concerned as one of the waitresses had the worst cough and although she was wearing a mask she clearly shouldn’t have been at work. She was coughing so bad while holding and searching peoples food. She would put her hand over her mask and cough. During a pandemic, I would expect a restaurant to be more cautious.

Decent meals for all you can eat Japanese. Have been several times and will continue to go back until the quality changes. Good serving sizes and decent atmosphere. The take away collection area can restrict the entrance sometimes.

All you can eat entrees, mains AND dessert??!! Hell yes! Absolutely incredible food, perfect serving sizes and it’s served very quickly. The staff are amazing and are very happy to offer suggestions.

I’ve been to all you can eat places before where they make the food fresh. It’s usually slow, and one plate at a time. Okami is completely different!!! You order per plate, dishes come out to be the serving size for your table, and it comes out so quickly! I was so impressed! I didn’t stop eating all night till I walked out the door to roll myself home with a full tummy. Would highly recommend!

Went with my father over the QB weekend and ordered from the a la cartel menu. The food was AWESOME! I love the way that they use the real Japanese creamy mayonnaise on the California rolls to give them that feeling of eating authentic Japanese food. The tempura was a beautiful golden brown and the teriyaki beef was like cutting butter and tasted superb! Additionally, the staff were very friendly and pleasant to deal with.

So bloody good! Definitely do the buffet option, the food is delish!

Amazingly cheap for both the quality and quantity of food, nice little restaurant and super fast and friendly service, thing to fault at all.

Tonight was Valentines Day and I must say that considering this place had a full house, all the staff were truly excellent in tending to everyone’s needs !<br/><br/>My partner and I are from Melbourne and we travel all over Australia and around the world,. <br/><br/>So we definitely know amazing food,service and decor when we see it.<br/><br/>The decor was excellent because it had a lot of Japanese flair about it, which I truly love as I embrace the Japanese culture whole heartedly.<br/><br/>So now I get to the part about the food and well...<br/><br/><br/>OUTSTANDING !!! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 <br/><br/><br/>Despite the flood of customers, the food came out in a timely manor and the waiters and waitress remained friendly in the rush.<br/><br/>The flavours of every single dish, truly sent shivers down our spines, smiles on our faces, as we left with full bellies.<br/><br/>Keep up the amazing work and you now have two ex Melbournians that will now become regulars here.<br/><br/>Thank you from Glenn and Neil.<br/><br/><br/>

They have a good selection of foods. The downside is that, they are a bit overpriced on with their buffet and only allowing minimum of two people.

We have been here a few times and we love it. Thank you for coming to Ballarat (we have been to the Footscray franchise, but we like the Ballarat one better). <br/><br/>Ambulance of the place is nice (newly decorated)<br/><br/>Staff are friendly, very attentive, food is great and comes out fast. Staff have a great understanding of Gluten Free for people who have Coeliac Disease. <br/><br/>Only complaint is could we please have a gluten free desert. I don’t normally eat desert, but there should be one option on the menu for people who want desert and can’t eat gluten.
