I’ve been to all you can eat places before where they make the food fresh. It’s usually slow, and one plate at a time. Okami is completely different!!! You order per plate, dishes come out to be the serving size for your table, and it comes out so quickly! I was so impressed! I didn’t stop eating all night till I walked out the door to roll myself home with a full tummy. Would highly recommend!
Went with my father over the QB weekend and ordered from the a la cartel menu. The food was AWESOME! I love the way that they use the real Japanese creamy mayonnaise on the California rolls to give them that feeling of eating authentic Japanese food. The tempura was a beautiful golden brown and the teriyaki beef was like cutting butter and tasted superb! Additionally, the staff were very friendly and pleasant to deal with.
Amazingly cheap for both the quality and quantity of food, nice little restaurant and super fast and friendly service, thing to fault at all.
Tonight was Valentines Day and I must say that considering this place had a full house, all the staff were truly excellent in tending to everyone’s needs !

So we definitely know amazing food,service and decor when we see it.
The decor was excellent because it had a lot of Japanese flair about it, which I truly love as I embrace the Japanese culture whole heartedly.
So now I get to the part about the food and well...

Despite the flood of customers, the food came out in a timely manor and the waiters and waitress remained friendly in the rush.
The flavours of every single dish, truly sent shivers down our spines, smiles on our faces, as we left with full bellies.
Keep up the amazing work and you now have two ex Melbournians that will now become regulars here.

We have been here a few times and we love it. Thank you for coming to Ballarat (we have been to the Footscray franchise, but we like the Ballarat one better).

Staff are friendly, very attentive, food is great and comes out fast. Staff have a great understanding of Gluten Free for people who have Coeliac Disease.
Only complaint is could we please have a gluten free desert. I don’t normally eat desert, but there should be one option on the menu for people who want desert and can’t eat gluten.
Bustling all you can eat Japanese in the heart of Ballarat. Been twice recently and ordered a la carte both times. Good fast service and tasty teriyaki beef, Salmon Bento, Unagi don and sashimi. Recommend booking to ensure a table

You have access to quite a lot of food for the price you pay. Not the greatest quality, but fast, and with friendly service.
Decent meals for all you can eat Japanese. Have been several times and will continue to go back until the quality changes. Good serving sizes and decent atmosphere. The take away collection area can restrict the entrance sometimes.
All you can eat entrees, mains AND dessert??!! Hell yes! Absolutely incredible food, perfect serving sizes and it’s served very quickly. The staff are amazing and are very happy to offer suggestions.
